    None of these apply to me 😆 I just go for the sun and relaxation. I stay at a very nice hotel with a big pool, hang out poolside or at the beach during the day, go on walks around South Beach. I do breakfast at Starbucks on Lincoln Road, cheap lunch of tacos or a sandwich, dinner at somewhere more upscale. It's easy to not fall into these traps.

    This video was very helpful for me. I'll be visiting Miami for a week in late April this year, and I'll definitely look into buying a t-shirt at Bayside Marketplace. All the parking issues and transportation issues won't be a problem for me. I'm gonna get an Easy Card with a 7-day pass on it so I can take the bus and metrorail around(I'll also use the free Metromover). My motel is on Biscayne Blvd, so the 3 bus serves it. Looks like I may have to skip the nightclubs if they cost that much to get in. I'll likely be hitting up bars and restaurants based on some Google reviews. I'll also be flying into Ft. Lauderdale & taking a bus.

Prices were very high, service was terrible, food was mediocre at best and they automatically put a 20% tip included with the bill and leave tip line black for you to add more. It was a tourist trap. My aunt even left her purse in the car and got several hundred bucks stolen as well as credit and debit cards. She had to cancel everything and it was a huge hassle for all them. My hometown isnt even a crazy distance from San Antonio. Not sure why they left their stuff in the car though. Thats even a no no in our home town lol. I live in West Palm Beach. And I go to Miami all the time. That is where the fun is that. Miami and Miami beach. And I spent very very little money doing so. For one thing, if I go to a restaurant that has a 20% surcharge, that’s all they’re getting. That is MY tip. Like
    It or not. I don’t care how the restaurant divides that money. 20% is all they get over the price of food.
    But I am still going to go out and have fun. I save money by not tipping over the “service charge”! And before I go to a club, which I love to do, I stop off at a liquor store, And get quite a buzz while walking around before I enter the clubs. So I spent a lot less money on drinks once there. Usually I need to drink a lot of water by the time I get there. Also, many of these clubs are restaurants. So if you go before 8 o’clock, you get in the club for free. Then you could have your meal. And just never leave. And once the nightlife begins, you’re already there. For free. I don’t bother buying strange women drinks.’re just there to get free drinks. Now that I am Mary, that’s no longer an issue. But when I was single, I didn’t buy anybody a drink. Except for myself. And that saves me a lot of money. We’re still having plenty of fun. But you must go to Miami. And Miami Beach. The most fun time you’ll ever have. And if you do it right, you are not going to break the bank.
    Also… parking is not bad at all. Anywhere in Miami/Miami Beach IF YOU park at the city owned garages.
    So…
    Miami is fun. (Bayside is under construction, and not fun right now 5/23) Don’t throw your money away.
    Don’t make help make restaurant owners rich. Don’t over tip. Don’t buy strange women drinks.
    (They are not going home with you anyway)

      South Beach is the worst part of FL I've been to thus far.

    In my opinion, Miami is one giant tourist trap. Never saw the appeal. Maybe because I'm from Hawaii, and Florida to me is white trash Hawaii. But even more hot and humid, and even less culture. Besides the Latino side of Miami. That's the only really cool part to me

    • @jeanpaulmondesir1336

      I have to disagree. Locals enjoy Miami without even going to these places. Miami has a lot of hidden gems. You can enjoy it without spending a lot of money.

      I'm from NYC,have been to Hawaii&spend much time in Miami. Miami is not a white trash Hawaii,so offensive. Miami has many beautiful things to offer&has become very expensive. Because you don't see the appeal doesn't mean others agree.

    • @BreadLobby
      @BreadLobby 2 года назад

      @@Wendi1760 I was not trying to be offensive. But that is the honest portrait that is painted for most of America. About Florida as a whole. But I'm sure it's not all like that and that's just some stereotype. That's just my understanding that I was raised with. For example a lot of people think of the town I'm living in currently (Portland Oregon) is nothing but riots and homeless. And while some of that is based in reality, I still love my city and I feel like the flaws are overblown

    • @BreadLobby

      @@Wendi1760 and I just want to make it clear. If someone gave me a free or reduced price vacation to Miami, I'd totally take it and give it another shot now that I'm older. I don't hate Miami. I have respect for the Cuban and Puerto Rican scenes out there. And Miami has some good music. So I don't want to totally hate. But I do have a lot of preconceived ideas about Florida for sure
