I was thinking about going to Miami Beach next year on spring break in April. Or back to Hollywood Beach again I went on September or Fort Lauderdale. Whatever city I decide to go and stay for next year I still got time to save up.

The Carlyle Hotel, which you pointed out, was featured in the movies Scarface (1983), Bad Boys (1995) and The Birdcage (1996). It was also the location of the pilot episode of Miami Vice which used many locations on South Beach when the area was run down and only attracted retirees.

Yes i thought it (Carlyle) was in birdcage. Didn’t know it was in the other films. We’ve been to south beach, love the actual beach part, architecture and food, but a little to much for me in other ways. I learned a lot in your travel guide. Taking notes! All the food suggestions were so appealing. On another note, I have my hubby (bless his heart) drive me by Maurice Gibb memorial and Barry Gibbs house when we drive A1A, thats a highlight for me🙃☺️🌴

Yea, Haulover is a great beach for both Nudist, and those who want to remain clothed. Probably the best beach of Miami
I lived in West Palm Beach in the middle '80s and was an aerobic instructor at Florida Fitness if anybody knows that place still they're closed down now but there you go. I am planning a trip with my husband now to Florida and I just can't wait to get back I'm from St Louis Missouri and I just can't wait it's going to be so much fun!

@@TampaAerialMedia my husband's from the southwest think El Paso and such. He's never really seen the ocean not really and I want to show him Florida's finest. We're going to go down to West Palm Beach and onto Miami and he doesn't know this yet , but I'm going to take him on the little side trip all the way down to Key West ,been there before. It's a beautiful drive and I want him to see it. He has stage 4 lung cancer and I don't know how long I'm going to have him with me, we've been married for 24 years, I just want to show him everything. I want him to see these things before he goes. Great video, I just visited February 9th-12th, my favourite city I've been to. Stayed at The Penguin Hotel on Ocean Drive, rarely visit a city twice but already booked to come back September!

Greater Miami is definitely one of the most if not the most beautiful city in North America. So much to see and do in a tropical climate and so much excellent food! Pity about the hurricanes though.
I should add that I'm absolutely in love with all the Art Deco architecture!

I last saw Miami Beach as a kid in the 1960's when the area was past it's prime and the old hotels were rented long term by elderly Jewish retirees from NYC. I've been wanting to see it now that I've come back to Florida and your video portrayed it well. I'll have to watch an old episode of Surfside 6 to get the vibe. BTW, I understand that the houseboat used in that show was moored in the river and where the Versace' killer was cornered and killed.

SO disappointed that you didn't get to visit my fav - La Locanda Restaurant on the lower end of Washington Ave!
