These are so cute!!! Where do u like to get ur fabric? I never really know what to look for cute stretch or non-stiff cotton. Also- thoughts on getting a serger, do you think it’s worth it?
3 Steps to Buying Fabric ruclips.net/video/0CTYjOEYsrk/видео.html This video might help a bit ! I buy my fabric in stores because I like to feel the fabric and look around at other options they might have. Different fabrics can change the look entirely and it’s fun to play around with that till you find what you like. Even practicing just hemming different little swabs of fabric to see how it lays etc. Sergers definitely up your sewing to being able to create a more professional finish. It’s quite a learning curve to figure them out but useful if you’re doing a lot of sewing. Hope that helps !
If your machine has the option of a zigzag stitch that is pretty important when sewing elastic because it’ll make sure that the thread doesn’t snap when your elastic stretches ! You can play around with different lengths and widths of stitches depending on your fabric and elastic size you’re using until you find a combination that works.

Any tips for sewing elastic as a beginner on a normal sewing machine?

If it’s your first time it can help to test on a scrap piece of fabric with an extra piece of elastic. Hope that helps !!
Very nice !
Thank you ! 💖
