Have the TX16s now Would be very nice to see how you setted up from beginning till end with the brain2. Have nearly the same things on the table but not in a 550..got a 500L on the table with brain2 and how I said the TX16s. Just have flown Spektrum few years ago and microbeast. Want to get this thing right...so it is Important to see how to start with everything..where the things get plugged in..and so on and on
I cant get more than 95% On the Servosignal if I just switch on extendend Limits....I also got to enable maximum throw under the dsm setting to throw the maximum Limits from the tx to the rx
I often comment but get no answer....you don't explain witch Source you set for pitch curve! Also you dont explain why gyro Source is max! There are so many things thats not so easy to understand.. and for me it is just more difficult because i am german
Nice video thank you! I am having a slight issue getting the endpoints in the ikon to 100. I am using edge tx and I have clicked extended limits and also clicked max throw and can only get 89 in the ikon and help would be appreciated
Thank you! I appreciate it, thank you for watching! So extended limits is selected? Is it showing you throw going up in the radio? I’ve not had that problem before but I’ll ask a first who has edges TX and iKon.
Will this setup work with other flight controllers such as Omp Hobbies M2 and Mini KBAR. I am fairly new to Helicopters and main issue is setting up the Radio to work with flight controllers. Your video is the best I have seen on this topic. Is there a link to the template file. Thank You
I have a Omp Hobby M2 file as well as a few other files that I can email you. This file is mainly for Ikon. You can use the file that I email you as a template. I run a DSMX satellite on my M2. Send me a email at choppers992@hotmail.com
WestHobbiesRC, the Brain wizard tells that the Align servos have 1520 center pulse. Your output menu 7:21 on the Radiomaster shows you've got 1500 for every channel. I was searching the internet if this makes any difference, the only thing I found was a PDF from the Brain developers themselves, who state in the OpenTX section "the Center Pulses (last column) must be set to 1520 for all channels." So do I have to redo the entire setup with the OpenTX Taranis radio with the center pulses previously set to 1520? The other thing, which is a cool feature is the OpenTX integration of the Brain wizard. I'd like to have that. But in the PDF setup manual the devs also state that the center pulses must be set to 1520 in the radio. What is your take on this 1500/1520 matter? Can it mess things up or let's leave it alone - not worth the hassle?
So your center pulse is done inside the FBL unit. That option inside the open TX is for example if you are not using a FBL unit and I direct driving a certain pulse rate servo off of a regular receiver. You don’t need to change anything
@@westhobbiesrc8051 thank you and yes, you're right, after trying out 1520 (TX) in the Brain, the Brain showed 1% off center for the AER channels. Going back down to 1500 gave 0 mid position. I also redid the head setup including adjusting the length of the links. I still get 0.8° max/min cyclic difference. As for the servo arms being perpendicular to the casing, I just can't judge ultraprecisely - could be perpendicular, could be a 10th of a hair off. On the wizard setup plate the servos needed between 30 and 90 usec trim. 11.5° pitch +/- but anything higher than 8/7.2° cyclic elevator at -11.5° pitch gives binding. (Why do the instructions state 12° pitch and 10° cyclic if I can't reach that no matter what I do).
Saw your video with many thanks, I am setting up a new 700x Heli with Radiomaster tx16s with brain2, need some input/ help on brain set up as that’s new for me, can not find any videos on brain setup from your video list. Please set me a link for such, thanks
You can get telemetry. You would need a Spektrum SRXL2 or a telemetry capable RX for the radio master. The Spektrum SRXL2 works fantastic and will give you full telemetry capabilities. You would wire the SRXL2 into CH3 and CH 5 from the 4-5-6 port to your ESC. I would run a Hobbywing but I believe Castle gives you telemetry as well! I’m going to make a video on how to wire and get telemetry.
I am setting up the mode for the Internal RF but the X 11ms is not an available option. Radio said I needed to update my module, but even before that it wasn't an option. What am I missing?
This whole thing is quite confusing. I think the problem is that I installed EdgeTX and its either missing some options or changed. For example, Gyro is not listed in the inputs section.
So edge TX is different, I’m not 100% sure because I have not played with it but I will ask a good buddy of mine who has set up Edge TX with his Ikon and get a answer for you! But you should have X 11ms even with Edge so let me look into that.
So I don’t use the TX16S anymore. I crashed two heli from radio loss and I can no longer trust it. I think it’s good for small stuff but I would never trust it or fly it in anything I care about.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 thanks for the answer ! Finally I took the tx16s mk2 max, i will return it if it isn’t that good, i mainly took it because of the price and the compatibility with my RX is there any way you could give us a link containing the config for the tx16s and the trex with the ikon so i could fit it with my raw 580 ? Would be awesome
Mind if you list your physical connector into the beast? the 4 channels are obvious (elevator, aileron, pitch, and rudder) . where do you have the tail gain, pitch, and ESC plugged in? Much appreciated.
Hey, so is the gyro setting just for the brain/ikon ? I have a Tx16s paired with a futaba sfhss receiver. I have a setup for my omp hobby m2 evo and I don’t have a gyro setting. I just built the Goosky rs4 and I’m wondering if I have to do this . I’m running edge tx 2.8 I believe. Thanks for any help you can give me .
Hello! Not sure, never played with one. But give it shot! I would be interested to know. OPENTX is pretty hard in the beginning but gets easier as you learn.
Hi,i have a problem with msh brain 1,connection via module BT.Although I have an external limit enabled, the range only reaches 90% in the phone application. The apparatus (radiomaster tx16s)is over 130%.. I was looking on the internet, but I did not find a solution.
I don’t have this file but I have the same file and you just have to add ch 7 and 8 or copy from this video. I can send the regular file you will just have to add ch 7 and 8 and that’s for flight models and rescue
Sir pls upload the file from your radiomaster here so we can download and study how you set up this one... please
Looks like a pretty nice transmitter for the price. Still love my Trex 550e dfc as well lol
It is! It still impresses me every day I use it! Can’t believe how much radio you get for the money! I love my 550! Great heli!

Dear, always you show a very good videos... In these case tell me about the receveir? which receiver you use?
Thank you! I greatly appreciate it. So I run Spektrum RX. I always use a SRXL2 and one DSMX satellite on anything 550 and bigger.

Thanks again, I will set up one and try it I hope it doesn’t need to bound to spektrum radio first . I will let you know how it went.
@@autorings3443 no it does not need to be bound to a spektrum radio. You select DSMX in the radiomaster and SRXL2 in the iKon.
I see DSM 21F , 22F , X1F , X2F but no DSMX by it self . and neither one will bind. Thanks again

Where did you assign the tail gain adjustment sir?

Thanks for this ! Would you rather take the TX16s or the NX10 ? I can’t decide myself :D
