A come-on girl Come on... girl She's back And she's looking around And she's looking around And she's looking around
It got a lot of airplay in the southern Cal area and never could figure out why it didn't do better. I was a lowly swabbie just out of boot camp in San Diego at the time. Their time came about a year later.
Don't like him that much but I agree with the statement. If you like music documentaries then have you seen "The Last Waltz" or " Festival Express" and one more "Searching for Sugarman"
Loved sound city! It turned me on to so many artists and made me dig deeper into those I thought I knew. Took me so long to watch cause I kept pausing it to add the songs/artists to my playlists
Love the album cover. This song is great. Love this duo..they sing so well together. Love them both. They were very young here. Lindsey knew Stevie since she was 16 years old, and he was 17....Lindsey is 69 now..and Stevie is 70 now...The years are flying by..They still both sing great together. 😃
I'm in the process of convincing the love of my many lives, to sing. Shes got the voice of an angel! I could wake up next to that voice EVERY DAY. I play guitar, drums, and bass, so I got that part covered.
Well lucky you. Hey for some really great history and other related albums you might not have heard of , look up the relationship of Lindsey and Stevie in correlation to Sound City and Mic Fleetwood looking for studio with great drum sounds. This was Sound City first one.
This was the first official album they released and it was before Mick Fleetwood ever even knew who either of them were. You would think that Polydor would have reissued the album after the Buckingham/Nicks lineup of Fleetwood Mac took off, though. You would think that the label would have wanted to cash in on their names.
I actually had this album in the seventies before I heard of Fleetwood Mac. I ran around with a couple of guys a few years older and they introduced me to them and many other great groups. They had a huge influence in my musical tastes.
Isn’t there some legal issue about this album’s ownership? I figure that’s why it not released or released with remastered stuff. Maybe Stevie and Lindsay will burry the hatchet too, right? Fat chance!
Was reading a Stevie Nicks biography and had to look this up. Heard this was recorded on the famous Sound City NEVE that Dave Grohl now owns. You can already tell they were destined for this journey called Music.
I love this! I love Stevie's voice from the early years...it gives me a mental picture of a warm summer day with wind chimes tinkling softly in a warm breeze as a butterfly flutters by. "Rhiannon" and "Dreams" also have that effect, but her voice changed quickly and got deeper and more goat-like (South Park!) and louder. I prefer her soft voice here.
Sometimes wish I'd never seen that episode of South Park... every time I hear her sing now... lololol jk Love Stevie, and still have a vinyl copy of this
Jim Morrison sang vibrato at the end of the phrases; she sings vibrato from the very first microsecond and all the way throught the tune. That's not art, it's being lazy.
I'll never stop loving you my queen take me with you I sang you all my life you are my life rock on forever and ever you beautiful witch my queen i sang this year's ago when it just came out l was crying in the night and looking around my queen
dean b --- We all were! We were young, had our whole life in front of us. I don't know but I thought I could do anything, 21 & charging forward for the next great thing.
It's a real shame Polydor didn't do more to promote this album, especially after "Rumors" came out. There's nothing respond labels like more than using the success of a former client on another label. Oh well, their loss, Warner Bros.'s gain. I wonder if Stevie and Lindsey ever considered recording another one. It'll probably never happen, given their history,, but I think it'd be pretty cool. After all, term years ago, whodathunk they'd be able to be in the same band with each other again?
I agree. It's blatantly obvious how good this album is, and it's no surprise that Lindsey and Stevie went on to achieve enormous success in the music business. The "spirit" of Buckingham Nicks continued on the first two Mac LPs they recorded. Then, their relationship soured and both "went their own ways" - at least musically. Another BN record would be nice, but it appears Fleetwood Mac is having trouble even getting Stevie to commit to their planned final record (Lindsey and Christine have already recorded a number of songs with John & Mick, but nothing yet from Stevie).
+redletter2008 yeah id only been listening to them a few days when i commented but i love them now. Ive been reading a lot about them abd watching all the old documentaries. Actually i was reading one of Christines interviews last night and she said theyve done a lot of work on rhe new album which theyre planning a world tour for next year. She said shes co wrote heaps with Lindsey and they have about 7 songs ready to go! Waiting on Stevie for the album but the tours definate theyve all signed up for it! So im just hoping they add a Glasgow date to the tour!
@@redletter2008 Yeah, I figured that's more or less a nonstarter now, especially seeing as Stevie ended up getting Lindsey thrown out of FM. A lotta couples therapy is gonna have to happen before another BN album, especially now that there was a lawsuit involved.
Fleetwood Mac had about 8-10 records out with 4 different sets of players before Bob Welsh got let go and Buckingham Nicks came on board including Peter Green way back,... the release before RUMORS has lots off the Buckingham Nicks record on it,... Dave Grohl my ass,....
My dad has the record and ale hen I was listening to it he goes Show me that picture Oh wow I’m sure I’ve got that So I got ecstatic thinking I’d be able to listen to it but turns out he lost it :/
Granted she is a killer singer BUT none of this would sound this killer without being the 1st thing recorded on the "Neve" at Sound Studio". :-) Sorry, I'm an engineer......:-)
This is a nice song. The single was significantly better ... electric guitars really punched it up (Waddy Wachtel always adds a LOT to any performance).
Stevie Nick's voice is so enchantingly captivating. I never tire of listening to her and all the wonderful songs she sings!
I NEVER tire of listening to her sing!
My very favorite Stevie Nicks song ! 💕🎶
She was that kind of lady
Times were hard
But she could come curling 'round you
Like fingers
But she'll leave you
Crying in the night
She will leave you
Crying in the night
She's going to leave you
Crying in the night
She's back in town
And she's looking around
Say you needed someone to depend on
You're all alone
She's the only one
Who can come take you far away
Take your breath away
Come on baby
She's the wrong kind a' girl
She's a come-on lady
She's a tarnished pearl
She'll take your money
She'll wreck your world
Wreck your world
She's a come-on baby
Come-on girl.
A come-on girl
Come on... girl
She's back
And she's looking around
And she's looking around
And she's looking around
This is the perfect opener to this album. It just transports you to Los Angeles in the 1970s.
This album blew me away in 1973....and it still does.
Recorded in Sound City : )
It got a lot of airplay in the southern Cal area and never could figure out why it didn't do better. I was a lowly swabbie just out of boot camp in San Diego at the time. Their time came about a year later.
I was just born in Memphis,TN. (1972)
Excellent
The kind of song we'd listen to on the Kenwood stereo with the steady blue light burning in the dark bedroom.
Thank god for Dave grohl creating the movie sound city
Watching that movie again. Great film!
Watchin’ right now on Pluto

Actually Stevie is about a year older than Lindsey
Stevie nicks is an amazing songwriter
and singer
The songwriter is John Lewis !
@@bertboots361 Stevie wrote this song.
from 1972-82, but not after
I'm in the process of convincing the love of my many lives, to sing. Shes got the voice of an angel! I could wake up next to that voice EVERY DAY. I play guitar, drums, and bass, so I got that part covered.
Sweet 🥺 have you convinced her yet
This whole album is FIRE ! 🔥❤️
What a great Song .... the full 70s feel !!!!!!!!
I just heard of this album last night, and I'm loving it already!
Well lucky you. Hey for some really great history and other related albums you might not have heard of , look up the relationship of Lindsey and Stevie in correlation to Sound City and Mic Fleetwood looking for studio with great drum sounds. This was Sound City first one.
Been enjoying this since it came out!
This is retro vintage fabulous!! Love it !
Here because of the Sound City documentary. Blew my mind when I heard this!!!!
Me too. It was love at first hearing
Great album, beautiful vocals and guitar!
They should rerelease this. I cannot believe none were hits!

Pre Fleetwood Mac. Still got my vinyl

The Australians are making this available on CD. I have the vinyl original and the (Australian) CD.

me either...got instantly the picture of a 70's California in front of my eyes, thought I haven't been there at that time ;)
She absolutely doesn’t sound like a goat lmao she still sounds quite nice

@@Pimp-Master lmfao dont be stupid each singer has their own style, stevie is know for her distinctive vibrato
One of the best albums
I remember WBCN in Boston playing this song in the summer of 1973. WBCN R I P
that voice.....
Her voice is nice, I agree! …it sounds like it was doubled mostly and layered maybe three times for the harmonies on these recordings…
Been loving this forever
The first song cut on the Neve @ Sound City. What a great track!
Everyone’s talking about Stevie’s unique voice, but it’s Lindsay’s guitar that carries the album…together they are amazing….
Wow... ultra fresh Stevie...look how young she looks. Sounds great. 🔥
I'll never stop loving you my queen take me with you I sang you all my life you are my life rock on forever and ever you beautiful witch my queen i sang this year's ago when it just came out l was crying in the night and looking around my queen
