I just did it for my first time and when i tried to fast travel outside I heard my dude get damaged on the loading screen.... Then the loading screen was infinite... I just wasted like 30 fucking minutes I'm so pissed TF off. I was expecting happiness when I launched it and instead I get pain. Thank you Bethesda. Literally the first fucking time ive gotten an infinite loading screen in this game and its when i launch a nuke. Fun lol
Fourth target to nuke: The very centre of the map. Done right, it makes all interior instances become irradiated, allowing mass farming of irradiated components, and allows for quick stable flux creation

25:46 I would move the nuke a little bit to the left to avoid hitting the Metal Dome and ruin Test Your Metal for that server 😅
I was actually in a Test Your Metal event in a nuke zone. If I remember correctly, the rads had no effect inside the dome.
when I first stared launching nukes, it would take me upwords of 25-30 minutes...now I can do it in about 10 minutes :) Thanks Turtle!
Brilliant. I was using your tip for the PA placement, but now the bypassing reactor step helps me even more!
You should add, that if you nuke fissure site prime, make sure you get overgrown sundew grove in the blast zone too. Because when nuked the grove has a chance to spawn a wendigo colossus.
Yeah, its fun to try and solo it in PA without being spec'ed for power armor. I had a tough time the other day. Ammo usage was not worth it. I now have a heavy PA build for the queen though, so next time will be easier if I run into "Earle" alone.
That's a lot of ammo to waste for a potential 1 star item tho
@@FilthEffect You only waste ammo, if you try to solo it. My point was that after people kill scorchbeast queen, they then can check if colossus is there and kill it quick and clean.
Yup, had the misfortune of meeting that thing and not having any idea what I was facing. Wedigos kept coming, my character kept getting scared....what's going om?!??! Finally killed it but dang, the rewards paled in comparison to just getting rid of it!
I still have not launched a nuke yet, need to do it. Been to to tons of nuke events, madhouse fun and loot. Thanks for the guide.

Small correction, you can actually cut the drop for the Scorchbeast Queen a lot closer than the drops on Earle and the Titan. Just covering the Fissure Site Prime icon is enough.
putting the circle just a bit off, like an 1/8" from fissure prime will trigger scorched earth. I like to do that to the west so peeps can get flux also (as opposed to nuking mostly off the map)

Helpful video, turtle. My goto solo nuke is a bloodied flamer with the Chinese stealth armour. It’s pretty quick and kinda cheese, but works every time.

excellent guide! i was used to launch nukes everyday, but after all the new events drop more legendaries than killing the big 3, even more with the mutant packs, that i feel i don't need to do it as often.

Im a new player and have randomly collected a code 2 or 3 times but had no damn clue what they were one was on the back of a ghoul i think outside the tunnel where the people escort the caravans
You can use a nuke grenade (with the perk) to blow up many terminals.

after i learned the bug to force through the door in the storage room, i can't go back to use power armor squeeze in method... it's very simple, just push yourself hard on the side of a door, then press map key then photo key (Y on xbox). and you can use this method on almost any locked door
When u find the blue card go straight and scan body then swipe card and reprogram it all in same room saves having to swipe go scan body and go back
And I always cough cough photo mode the 2 blue doors takes 8mins give or take to fire it
Can you be a general of any faction or does it have to be at white springs?
I would also add to try not to nuke dropsite v9 as then you will be fight the queen inside the nuke zone .
What do I do when I’m lvl 81 and my game glitches and logs me out every time I’m in the silo? I play on ps4

I tried it blind and it's super hard with Bloodied stealth build, got stuck at the reactor quest and had no idea what to do while rads and endless robots killed me :/

Hey Turtle, can I ask you two questions? First off where is the best spot to have cobalt Flux to farm? Second doubt is do you have a build just to pass the silos or a normal one will do if it just has those specific perks? I'm asking because of my Heavy Gunner is specced for damage not hacking or lockpicking galore.
I got you,
1. Nuke mama dolce's, where feed the people happens. You can find over 200 cobolt flux from the mutfriut and bloodleaf there. Also, ghouls there drop mats you need so it's perfect.
2. Pro tip: after getting passed the lasers, instead of going down the hall, go left through the first door. Kill the two gutsy's in that room and look on the left wall there will be a door that requires a terminal. Say that you're sorry it feels that way and door glitch through it. Then straight ahead is another bigger door. Kill the turrets on either side of the door before doing the same clip you just did on the other door. You're already at launch prep now!

Thnx for the help Turtle. I was able to launch my fist nuke at lv58. I honestly don’t recommend it cuz it was a huge time sync and I used up all my stimpacks
for anyone wondering if you want back to back jukes for grinding , you can get a few friends together and 1 by one go through the silos until nobody can launch any more nukes you got 3 people that means 9 nukes 🤷🏽♂️
I'm not sure if someone else talked about the photo mode glitch to skip through two of the rooms altogether. I hope they never fix it!

You dont need a key card to use overkill!
No turtle I wonder how many times I mean I have like I’ve been I’ve had over 100 of those nuclear key cards and the only reason I sold him is because they weigh 1 pound each and I wonder how many of those cargo bites that I’ve shot down and claimed the key card from Ed we’re out and about because somebody went in the bunker and started that questline
What a pain in the ass. The whole process is just ridiculous. No wonder no one ever seems to launch nukes. Such a shame most end game build items and mods for power armor all require the stupid nuked flora that you have to jump through hoops just to make them last long enough to use.

10:40 I believe this shortcut is actually patched on xbox now, I was really interested to see if it would work for you. But if it wasn't removed then, now it will be soon:) If it does work on PC, use it while you can
Just ran a silo on xbox and the shortcut worked for me. I find that the positioning of the power armor is a little finicky, and if you don't have it in *exactly* the right spot it won't work. It seems to work best for me if I position the PA on the right side of the opening, with the right arm and leg just slightly obscured by the stacked cases.
@@MalcolmMcGowan-qx5zn Oh wow, thank you so much! I had gotten it down perfect over the course of about 10 runs, then it suddenly seemed to fail over and over, I really thought they had changed something that 'fixed' it. I'll try placing the PA more on the right next time, thanks again :)
There is a much faster way to get past all that.
But it's good for the first time players to have the whole experience 👍
don't forget to mention that while you are muddling your way through, some other player can overtake you and launch from the same silo - once they do that the silo will be closed to you :(((
They really need to simplify the silo run , it takes too long

I have been stuck on this mission for about a week now, it’s so infuriating because I love the grind of the main quest but cannot get pass this mission! 😡

Took me 7 and a half minutes to do a nuke, you can just camera glitch through both doors then bam, already at the defending part, you skip like 95% of it

I think he intentionally didn't show or use it. Nobody wants that patched. Most of the player base would stop launching nukes immediately if Beth fixed it.
I'd definitely never launch another one.

Why are you taking the long way around? Just camera glitch through the door it will save a fuck ton of time.
When I try to access the turret controls it tells me I need to learn (further training) how to do it.
How do you learn it?

That’s gotta be annoying something similar happened except I finished and after I was trying to obtain some flux and then it crashed. A greifers told me he had a way to make peoples controller stop working and then boot you and that’s the order it happened in I was so pissed man. I do all my nuke looting on private worlds

I see players selling it upwards of 555 caps, tho its nothing for endgame but, who are they hoarding it for? lol if someone wants a keycard what do you think they wanna do? keep it as collectors item? they wanna send a nuke, and everyone benefits from this XD. i literally sell keycards for 0 or 11 caps, for the trouble of shooting the thing down...
