Take me for example 20 years ago I didn’t know how to read or write, I was basically an ignorant guy kid. But in the year 2000 I decided to change that, so I spent $1,200 on a computer. I used it to learn how to read and write, once I learned how to read I started studying mathematics, physics, history, philosophy, and computer science and much much more subjects. I now know more in some subjects, than the great majority of so-called professors from the best universities like Stanford or MIT. For many years I studied for 6 to 8 hours per day, and I am also an artist I can draw just as good as Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni or Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino. Damn I wish I could arrive to work like this in the morning. Lol
When he shot up high, I was thinking, he's crazy going that high without a parachute what if there's a mechanical problem, and then puff there's a parachute.
Same. It’s very well hidden. I didn’t even notice he had one and thought “hmm. I wonder if he can glide good if those engines cut out”
@@LtLXIX I think it would drop like a rock without power.
C Smith I was thinking that too because the balance isn’t like a plane. But maybe if he already had speed. Either way, a parachute is best bet and idk why I didn’t think that before anything else
This rig has always been based around a parachute. Until he recently got enough power to hover, the only way to launch was to skydive, and the only way to land was under canopy. This is interesting, but takeoff and landing requires so much fuel...and fuel management. Can only carry a bit of fuel...how do you want to spend it?
@@BrianVillegas67 They need to try some mid air refueling from a Cessna or other small plane with a refueling probe mounted in his wing. It would really extend the range.
The fact this doesn’t have a billion views is crazy, make this trend share it with friends, family investors this is the next big thing.
damn.... he flew off into the horizon a hell of a lot faster than i thought he could
When he took of into the sky, I held my breath. There was so much suspense built during the test runs that I didn't expect to see this happen.
*Just a decade back no one could imagine this leave along 100 years back.*
Look at images of what people imagined today to be like. Yes they had no way of knowing how today would be like, but a common theme is everyone and everything flying.
It's taken us longer than we would have wished to get here, but now Humans can fly with personal propulsion units.
Its been practicable for a long time now. Just not practical for any standard use.

I gasped in awe. I frequently have dreams of flying and i remember one specific where i reached a speed and altitude like this and feel amazing but when i tried to go down i was scared to the bone because i couldn't control going down without smashing myself on the ground. Then i panicked and because of the emotion i woke up. It was pretty amazing and terrifying. I just cannot imagine what felt this man. Amazing!!!

@@GuitarristaDesconosido theoretically if you would live forever it is likely that you would find it boring sooner or later. also the limits in our reality set by the "creator, gods, aliens, universe " whatever you wanna call that unknown law or entity allow us to enjoy things like flying, driving around, walking through the Forrest etc. If human could approach the infinity there would be no sense in the existence at all in my opinion. like if you could be on infinite amount of places at the same time.. (its a bit hard to discuss this matter in English for me) however i would not mind to live 300 years for example, under condition that humankind would not want destroy them self by our own ignorance sooner :)..
Coronavirus will be nice and not kill all of us until we have a chance to fly this thing
Watch that guy in Germany, trying to parachute in 1912. It's pretty sad. By the 80's, I had toys that you could shoot up, and they would parachute down.
dusshan1 I don’t think it would be possible for highly intelligent individual like me to get bored.
There is an infinite amount of knowledge to learn and discover still for humanity.
And I can tell you I truly understand the words of Isaac Newton whe he said “” I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.””
So I am sure It would be absolutely impossible for me to get bored.
Hopefully gerontologist may have some success soon so we can keep on enjoy playing like Newton.
Who ever you are best wishes and regards 🙂
This is what we always saw in games and wished one day we could fly...the feeling is so awesome. By the way *Superman* would be jeleous after watching this.

He’s come so far, from only being able to jump out of airplanes, to taking off from anywhere with complete control, and going full rocket man.
If there isn’t a military contract in there I would be very surprised!
@Mike Yep, Army was very interested until it was discovered how easy they were to pick off with as little munitions such as pistol shots, plus VERY limited range, next to useless for recon missions. Lotsa crap ideas are put before the military with dreams of the mythical unlimited budget- stupidest one was training dogs to sniff Asian/ Japanese personnel exclusively based on body odor while ignoring western body musk types, this actually happened during WWII.
They dropped the idea when the helicopter arrived on the scene.
hes not flying it though? description says its controlled from the ground so what makes it so special?
@@32stevo Of course he does fly it. He is the one that controls it, starting from the ground using his body, instead of being dropped by an airplane as it was the case until now.
