    NOTES:
Fujimi Bridge is a bridge that I biked over every day for the first seven months of my time living in Japan. Depending on the weather, from the top of the bridge you can catch a view of Mt. Fuji. Struggling with homesickness and lack of purpose as I adjusted to life in a foreign country, I had an experience that grounded me: while biking with friends back to my apartment, I heard cicadas and frogs singing to us from the nearby rice fields. The face of the moon followed me home to my balcony, where I looked up and felt as though the questions I'd been asking God were answered without words. This piece is meant to capture a small measure of those feelings of wandering, wonder, and eventual peace.
