Ranveer, I am 51 and a recovering alcoholic. Literally destroyed my life and of my close family, got divorced, found an Alcoholics Anonymous and they helped me screw my head back on my shoulders.
This doc scratched the tip of the iceberg, alcoholism is more of a disease. Get your team to connect with AA and this may just be an awesome topic for a podcast. There is a world of alcoholics that needs help. And yes there are so many women members in our groups. It's truly a time bomb waiting to explode.

If you're a doctor/mental health professional/healer of any kind and someone comes to you for help find a cure to their illness, you NEED to have empathy. People don't willingly do anything harmful to themselves. It is either ignorance or compulsive habits formed/learned from parents, situations and circumstances and therapy can help them get better. But empathy is a rare thing to find these days in anyone, let alone doctors. If you cannot comprehend the weaknesses and fragility of the human condition, please close your practices and change professions. You weren't made for it and people certainly shouldn't be paying you their hard earned money to be judged and reprimanded.

    My analysis on alcohol:
There is not even 1 single benefit of consuming alcohol.
99% of rape happens in influence of alcohol
    Preventing alcohol can avoid accidents
Preventing alcohol can lead healthy life
Preventing alcohol can avoid conflicts in marriages and families
More than 60% of crime rate will be reduced all over by preventing alcohol
There are many more advantages by preventing alcohol
If the government works for the well being of people then does the government has courage to ban alcohol nationwide...

How about increasing the minimum age to drink instead as a first step?

@@learningvideosbynikhil8308 good... But the question is why to drink at all... There is no need, as there are no benefits except disadvantages... Even though I consume alcohol on a weekly basis, I'm not addicted to it. If alcohol is banned it'll not affect me..

@@kushagrananda3142 yes, what you said is true... But when the Government says that they work for the well being of the people, then how can they encourage liquor production for their own benefits. If the govt is really concerned about the well being of the public then the govt should ban liquor...

      I agree with you,
The whole family suffers due to 1 person,
      Specially Wife and the Children,
Wife is always in mode of tension
Childrens confidence also falls to zero due to this,

Exactly, it's a fact that quitting booze not only makes your world a better place to be in, good things start to “magically” happen and the energy is insane! Steffon Barkload's Quit Drinking Forever, that’s the best shortcut I go’ogled that took less than a week to work without suffering withdrawal.

Ok I agree with almost everything he is implying except one, at one part he said that it was not the mistake of patient that he got the disease. But somewhere I feel that not limiting the use of alcohol by the patient is the part where he is at fault u can’t overlook that aspect too doctor should not be judgy about it but somewhere somehow he should inform patient about it otherwise patient is inclined to make the same mistake again.

Unfortunately, that’s not how alcoholism works. Alcoholism is poorly understood by science still but it is largely attributed to childhood trauma as well as genetic factors. Alcoholism is what is called a progressive disease. It never gets better. Once you drink alcoholically, you can never go back to drinking normally.
Furthermore, alcoholics have a different response to alcohol than non-alcoholics. They have an opioid-type response but only when they increase their blood alcohol level, not when they’re maintaining or decreasing their levels.
Many alcoholics lose everything they have, family, jobs, housing, and even their lives. Just telling someone is not enough because often times they already know. They simply cannot stop or don’t know how to. AA has been the most effective method of recovering from alcoholism but even that has very low success rates unfortunately.
