Always wondered why Culture Club wasn’t regularly included the “blue-eyed soul” convo bc they SHOULD be!! Empress you’ve reacted to so many of their R&B-tinged songs and I appreciate that very much. Hope the Patreons choose more R&B bc there are lots of classic soul that came out @ the same time as the classic and yacht rock/pop you mostly react to (and I’m not mad @ that, btw). With respect.✌🏽

Always dug his voice. He and Culture Club had many good songs. Heard him recently actually had a great voice underated in my opinion. To me the 60s and 80s had the best music.

An interesting fact, many of the relationship songs written by Boy were about his rocky love affair/relationship with the drummer, John Moss. Boy shared that years later during their reunion.

I love George, back then, he was one of the most beautiful people I'd ever seen. But his persona mostly overshadowed how good the band actually were.

100 percent agree amazing guitar solo from culture also at the end of the solo just before you pause it theres a brief guitar and bass guitar playing at the same time thats sounds good , it s pretty cool to see the bass guitar and guitar player playing this part live , check it out if you can , as always love your reactions empress also love the hair style / color

I clearly was a massive Boy George and Culture Club fan. Boy George’s makeup was especially flawless in this and I had such a crush on guitarist Roy Hay at the time! 😍 I do remember being so disappointed that we didn’t get George actually performing the song in this video or him ever appearing with his band mates. Still LOOOVE the song though!

I might have said it before, but it's when you see nonsensical videos like this from 1983 that you realize how much Madonna's videos from the same era were groundbreaking masterpieces (Bordeline, Like a Virgin, Material Girl). My question is though: did they consciously choose window blinds as the main prop in the video for a song called "Miss Me Blind"? 🤔🤣
