  • ngl, i was pretty nervous sharing this part of my life with y'all.. the internet can be an extremely judgmental space and i was unsure whether i wanted to put this aspect of my journey out into the world. but after some consideration, i decided it was worth sharing because i’ve enjoyed the process thus far and i think the opportunity to donate to a family in need is really awesome! if you’re interested in any aspect of the process, leave your questions below so i can potentially cover them in another vlog! i have more content about my time in sf coming soon so stay tuned for that as well!
    until next time,
    happy healing ⚘

Hey How are you ? I’m so glad you posted this I was just matched with a family and is about to start the process . Honestly there’s not many women of color talking about this topic at all. . I’m excited for this process but I’m being compensated an amount that’s ehh it’s ok but not a lot . Also there’s not much information on the fertility organization I am going through so that honestly didn’t sit well but I am trying to be positive and not let my nerves get the best of me. do you have any tips or any type of advice you think would be helpful during this process?

Firstly, congratulations! It’s such a rigorous process to be approved and to then match with a family, that’s amazing. I was really nervous from start to finish, especially because I felt like it was something i couldn’t outwardly share with everyone in my life. Do you feel like they gave you time to completely understand the paperwork? Different banks have different conditions/asks so it really comes down to whether or not you feel comfortable with the conditions you agreed to. I found myself really leaning into my “why” to keep my nerves down. The money was never enough of a reason for me. Even though it did help my situation, I had to really focus on WHY i wanted to give an egg donation in the first place and hold on to that purpose. If you feel comfortable sharing more information about your clinic, feel free to dm me on Instagram (@earth2sydni) and we can talk more.
