I was at TMC 4 years. Had a blast great company. I had a 2007 Peterbilt 379 , then eventually a 2014 Peterbilt 579. I left due taking a local gig and having young kids. But I'd go back if you buy into what they teach you can get to top % quickly. I went to all lower 48 states with them. Always well maintained equipment can't go wrong. Good luck
Thanks man, I’m loving it so far.
@@tyrusdaniels6939 good deal man. I hope it works out for ya
My application was accepted to TMC. I'll hopefully be starting orientation in March sometime. Thanks for the motivational videos!
Congratulations to you, brotha.
Nice. I go to TMC orientation on January 9th in Des Moines. Got my CDL last month.
Looking forward to the challenge. 💪🏽
Thanks man, best of luck to ya!
Let me know because I’ll be there February 27
From Southern Ms.. Got my CDL 3 weeks ago. Trying to decide where to go. Heard some horror stories about TMC training/ orientation. Yours is the first positive one. I know sometimes its the people telling the story only giving 1 side, and not shining on where they may have messed up, or what they weren't able to do.
Don’t believe the rumors man. I heard those same horror stories but found out for myself thst TMC is a pretty solid company. Shoot me a txt or email. They’re in the description.
@@tyrusdaniels6939 Been doing hotshot with a Ram 3500 and 30' trailer. But its just not cutting it. Going over time lines with wife as far as what companies have you home when. Once we figure out what's comfortable, ill decide either way, ill hit you up, especially if I go TMC so you get that $referral$. Bout to call it a night ill text you my number. It'll say P-NUT from Utube.
@@tyrusdaniels6939 do they hire felons
From what I’ve heard TMC sets pretty high standards and expectations but play by their rules and you’re treated like a king.
Im stating at TMC in January. Finishing up my last bit of CDL School currently ✊🏾
Niceee, Goodluck to ya bro
That strap on that coil has as much security on it as a nerf gun used for self defense 💀
It ain’t doing shit 😂
Liked the video instantly when I saw canes 🔥😆 that’s THE spot man
Mannn🙌🏽
The Canes is good!
Dagum, I went through a 10 month, 6 days a week at my local College Credited CDL Training Program to get my Class A- X endorsement, Hazmat, Doubles, Triples, Over Size Qualified & job placement. Fully Paid by a Federal Grant, while on Unemployment.
The College took care of everything.
New guys train in a 10sp or 18sp manual transmission truck.
I see so many drivers that can't drive a Stick!
There's so much to learn.
Wanna be an O.O? Get some financial education also & have a minimum of $20k in savings for the truck only.
I logged over a million miles with zero citations, violations, shutdowns, accidents, etc.
I was about to step up my game & then I had a Stroke at the Flying J in Houston that put me into early retirement. Drive Safe🤟
What school did you go too?!?
Congrats driver! I finished orientation last Friday. Heading out with my trainer next Tuesday!
Good luck man! Get through those 4 weeks so you can get your truck and make some money.
@@tyrusdaniels6939 sadly. That truck only goes 65 mph😂😂😂
@@adrianvazquez6142better than not getting to your destination at all, speed kill’s especially hauling coils. The name of the game is surviving the trip and getting home not how fast you drive just to make a quick buck. Takes one small mistake and it’s game over 150% focus is required for flatbedding
Good luck pal remember slow and steady wins the race! B safe !
Thanks
Just luck of the Draw you got a new truck. Probably all they had at the time been a shortage of trucks at tmc. I been here 3 years got a 2018 you get what they have at that time. Some guys out of training get a truck with half a million miles. But they take care of there fleet they have
I'm waiting for TMC to run my background. They said for me to call them tomorrow. I'm hoping I can start orientation soon. Congrats brother!
Nice, thanks man!
I'm in training as we speak in Cola SC. Bout to start week 2. Excited about being apart of this company.
How’s it going so far?
I'll be going to Columbia, SC here soon. I take my CDL Exam friday.
Just got mine yesterday 2023 bro 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Turnup! Go make yo money bruh
I just applied to TMC today and used your name because of your videos. Maybe TMC will be where I get my start flatbedding
Nice, hmu man. Let me know if you have questions and also let me know when you’re set to go to orientation.
@@tyrusdaniels6939 imma hit your email inna few buddy
I just got my permit today and waiting for TMC to offer me a job ,I can’t wait to go to Columbia . I leave in January
Did you get set up for orientation
I've applied haven't heard anything from them. Love to get on
To you guys just starting out is good to have a nice truck but at the end of the day you have to like the job because if you don’t the truck won’t matter
Always check your chains
I could feel the punches 0:09 😂
😂😂😂
That is a scary load man go easy man n be safe
Bro you know ya boy not even a trucker but I love your vids bro. Makes me feel good to see someone from lil Brookhaven doing well. Keep it up bro! Be safe out there
Man I appreciate the love my boy 💪🏽💪🏽
Iowa Trucking Company is a Great company to work for. And we just opened a Raising Cains here in Streetsboro, Ohio. Big Iowa fan, as born and raised on a farm in northwest Iowa. Sounds like you got some good training from TMC.
TMC is great!
We waz at maverick together 😂 good to see u out here making it happen thinking bout coming to tmc been driving 7 months maverick sent me home I was ova all the testing an extra stuff they waz on I didn’t make it happiest day eva leaving them 🤣🤣 all that training not to even sit in a truck once waz wild 2 me
That’s awesome I live in South Carolina. I’m going to get my permit next week. I’ve been practicing quite a bit so should be good to go soon.
Have you applied with tmc? Shoot me a txt or email. In description
How them checks? How them loads coming along? Better yet, how come them videos ain’t been uploaden? 😅 let’s go! I’m ready for a new one 👊
Do a paystub video and label it that. It’ll get you some views too 👍
New video just uploaded, appreciate the love lol.
Also my last check grossed $1639
Look at you! Congratulations
Appreciate it bro
Please make a video and explain how the esop fund works and the difference between esop and 401k
Happy holidays bro 👊🏾🎄
They didn't hire me because I'm behind on child support. That's why I'm trying to work to get caught up
I haul milk. I've never done flatbed before. Do they teach you how to secure loads?
That’s tough u truck 14383 I’m truck 14382. We must’ve gotten trucks at same time 🤟🏿🤟🏿
Congratulations big dog!!
Appreciate it dawg!
I want to come to TMC!! I’ve contacted the Recruiting Department, but haven’t heard anything back from them as of yet?
Any suggestions? Thanks!!
Beautiful Truck Man! Happy for you brother!! 😊
I’m at system transport got a brand new truck out of training with 60 miles on it. Congrats bro on the job and truck and iv never had Canes before I hear mixed reviews
Man get you some canes bruh. Appreciate it
Man that truck is pretty. Makes me want to get my CDL
Go for it
I like that box!
NICE rig! My company gettin me either a 22 or 23 T680. I prefer Pete’s and KW anyway 💯. Flatbed gang
Niceeee
What run did you sign onto in order to get a brand new truck. You’re obviously on a dedicated specialty gig.
I’m starting orientation March 20. Congrats brother
Started mine today March 13th bout to go to the physical
Love it cheers from Toronto
Yoooo 🇨🇦
When they give you a new truck with a 500+ motor, automatic, and governed at 78 , call me.
Congratulations bro !!
Appreciate it my boy!
would you get sent home if you don’t hit the pre trip inspection deadline on the head during cdl training ?
Could end up with a brand new truck possibly at system transport either way both companies have *great* equipment 4 years old max.
I’m heading out for orientation next month! Kind of nervous 😬
Turnup! First company?
@@tyrusdaniels6939 yes it is!!
It all looking good except those darn tarps …
You don't cross your chains anymore? Eye crossways is easier and safer, eye lengthways (Shotgun) and eye to the sky kinda stink but to each their own. Tarping that stuff in the wind and rain sucks because they don't give you much time to tarp inside. TMC is a good place to start out, congrats on the new ride. Stick to the way you were taught because they will get rid of you if you mess up too bad. I'm curious what engine and transmission they got and how efficient they are. I want to go back to tractor trailers but don't know if I can.
I’ll be there tomorrow in des moines
Man your lucky I done had 2 trucks and they both are old 700,000 miles
They can afford those nice truck because they pay they drivers shit nobody running flatbed should be taking home less than $1,500 week but as long you happy I guess.
Just imagine my surprise when I went to my next company and making $2,000 a week 😆
After you’re done training with a trainer, when and where do you pick up your truck? I start training on April 3rd
Why would they not keep the factory eld unit and use a damn Trimble. Barf nice otherwise. Pick mine up next week.
Fasho, congrats
Where is the gearshift. I do not see it in the middle between the seats
It’s an automatic
Yo shit break down like crazy
Whats the idle policy? Ive heard that it goes against your points but how much?
You was with maverick why you quit ? Im witj maverick just want to know if tmc is better company
I start Jan 2 in Des Moines can’t wait! Any tips. I read reviews about a lot of ppl being sent home
Turnup, man I’d appreciate if you use me as referral if you hadn’t anybody else. Text my phone or email me, I can fill you in on some things.
@@tyrusdaniels6939 most definitely bro I got
You were with Maverick? They still made you train more? Gorgeous truck. I’ve got the twin to it but a 2019.
I wasn’t there long enough. I think you need at least 3 months flatbed experience to not go out with a trainer
Good PR move 😂😂😂
I start my Orientation November 13
How’d it go
I am set to go to training on the 6th of February in Des Moines Iowa. I just got my CDL permit what should I look
Just stick with it man, it’ll be worth all the time once you get your truck.
You mind making a video on training pay and rookie pay?
I will once I get at least 2 months worth of pay stubs
I'll be there at the end of February
Congrats man!
Stay safe bro and happy new years 🙏🏽
Raising canes is the shi
Engine light on already
Do the new tmc trucks have refrigerators?
I just subscribed to you Bro.definitely want to Holla at you.currently I driving a reefer for Hirschbach. June will make a year and my obligation to them will be fulfilled. I live in NJ but looking for a house in the Metro Columbia SC area.thx for sharing your journey I've watched all your videos. Ttys Brother
Thanks for the luv man✊🏽
Steel coil on his first load no way
Why don’t they have headed rack on trailer
They do
If anybody don’t mind team driving I know a company 85 cent a mile only need 3 to 6 months experience
How much you make per mile?
hard up for drivers
Not here to sound like an ass in any way. But as a past driver and trainer for TMC. I can tell you the company used to fire drivers for having RUclips channels about the company. I'm not telling you to take your videos down, but your discretion is advised.
Maybe they leveled out a bit, but during my 5 years there. They micromanaged the hell out of all 3,000 drivers. I got burned out dealing with all that plus driving a truck at 62mph.
1:45 Suicide Coil is missing chain edge protectors, consider Interlacing your ratchets. I don't believe George teaches that in first week orientation but interlacing the ratchets from my experience they tend to not get loose as easy.
Its nice to see that TMC is getting a larger fleet of new trucks,
Its nice to also see they done away with peoplenet for an ELD,
But I kicked the bucket with them and decided to get into oilfield hauling fracsand out to west Texas for a few years.
The pay was far better, running Timecards and no ELD with 7 day paychecks over 3k after Taxes. No micromanaging, no body to tell me what to do except when to load up more fracsand and come back, I could drive 50 miles out of route going to a restaurant and nobody would give a crap.
But those kinds of jobs require driving experience, but you gotta start somewhere, and where I started was with TMC too.
Thanks man
Congrats, but why do some people slap their fist in the hands when talking? So distracting, and frankly a bit........well, never mind.
Motivation!! Hey are you doing the cpm or percentage of the load?
I’m doing percentage
@tyrusdaniels6939 is the % pay a good way to go?
How do you like it now? 11 months later?
I no longer work there but I have no major complaints if the company. They’re pretty fair and solid
How much CPM do they bring you in at? Sign on bonus? Empty miles paid? Stop pay?
They start off pay is 26%. I’m not sure about bonuses bc they only offer that to experienced drivers and it’s based off your experience. I’m not sure what stop pay is.
@@tyrusdaniels6939 They pay stop pay for any additional pick ups or deliveries.I don't know how much they are paying now. I started driving with TMC and drove with them for a long time. Great company to learn.
How often does TMC start training? Is it weekly?
Yessir. Every Monday morning
Do they hair follicle test?
Or they will send you to Silver Grove KY.
I been driving for two years do they train you on flatbed tarping and strapping?
Yessir
I would’ve gone to TMC but I’m only 21 and they said no
Its worth it if you ever give it a shot
@@tyrusdaniels6939lol I actually did end up going with TMC, been with them almost 6 months now. Typing this in my sleeper.
lol I actually did end up going with TMC, (writing this in my sleeper) coming up 6 months real soon.
Cuál es la mejor tractomulas Peterbilt
Got a new trimble too lol
Oh yeah lol!!
@tyrusdaniels6939 I got a 23 but old trimble 🤣
I am starting tmc on Tuesday I already have my CDLs so can u tell me how the training going to be
Refer back to my training/orientation video. It’s nothing too complicated.
Don’t they still pay percentage of the load
Yessir
Did they do
hair test in oreintation cause I'm interested in coming to tmc
Nope
If you come to TMC w 2yr OTR experience…what’s the pay at training ..?thanks
I believe 1k weekly
So tmc trucks come with cb radio and TV
Yessir
Are TMC trucks equipped with APUs?
@@christopherraymond2316 Na you have to idle them in the summer time to have A/C at night if that’s what you’re asking. But it has heat for the winter time without having to idle
@@tyrusdaniels6939 are there laws against idling?
I'm heading to DSM today
Goodluck bro!
@Tyrus Daniels thank you, unfortunately I'm going home for a week to get paperwork from my doctor... I'll be back next Tuesday
Oh yeah don’t let it discourage ya, you may have dodged a bullet because it’s gonna be cold as shit this week!😳
@Tyrus Daniels yeah it seems like it. Going to be freaking freezing. I'm heading to Baltimore which doesn't look too much better
Does TMC have a Texas division?
I think so. You should be able to call and ask a recruiter, give em your zip.
And can you take the truck home?
Yep, truck goes wherever you go home for the weekend.
Do they still have manual transmissions?
Only for specialized division.
That ain't no truck if it's automatic bro at the school bus. Or city bus.🤷🏽♂️😫m
🤣
Does everyone get a new truck
Not everyone but it’s a good possibility
not enuf $ at tmc
Just wanted to ask you a question did you get paid for the training? And did you get hired after ur training? I’m about to go to Iowa for training
Yep, training pay is $650/week for inexperienced drivers.
How’s your first month man?
New vid uploaded!
