I bought the 8" Pioneer version in stock sealed enclosure. Always sounded pretty bad with it popping when driven hard while not putting out much bass to even blend with 6x9's. Found someone locally selling the same sub with no enclosure so I bought it cheap to test out mine thinking maybe the speaker was bad. Nope both sound the same. Years later I came across a JL Microsub enclosure for $20 and curious I dropped in one of these subs. Wow, what a huge difference it made. I thought these subs were horrible sounding until I put it in a proper box. Night and day better in larger enclosure. If only I could get find a good way to install these behind the seats in a Miata, excellent punch and sound in the right enclosure.
100%. I wasn't expecting miracles with this one but anything above 35hz keeps up with most other entry level 10's/12's just about. Obvious trade off is it doesn't dig as deep as 'traditional' subs, but the space saving advantage makes up for that. Might need a custom one to fit in a Miata though
Would everyone prefer the slideshow type vids or a time-lapse of some builds? Thanks for watching 😀
Either or a combo might be nice! Nice job!

@@reeltwistedfishing7073 this is in millimetres. Theres a lot of conversion calculators on google to get it to inches if that suits better
