Woodturning - Walnut & Pewter Bowl

In this video, I show the process of woodturning a bowl out of layers of Walnut wood, interspersed with Pewter metal.

For those who are interested, the layers are being held together by fast-set epoxy from a tube. Nothing too complicated going on there!

Interesting piece, how does the bond between the Pewter and wood go overtime?

Pewter itself doesn’t bond well to wood. I used epoxy to bond the two layers.

quite a bit, but I’m not sure how to quantify it because I was remelting stuff that was already in the crucible.
