Hi Sarah. Thanks for the mention 🤗 Your Agnes is looking so beautiful 😍 The combination of merino and mohair is such a lovely idea! Looking forward to seeing your Christmas sweater. Happy Making 💕
Just started watching but I already loving everything I see...The Agnes Kofte sweater went right to the top of my wish list and the beautiful dress in the beginning is also right up my street! I'm very much looking forward to seeing more of your podcast. Love from the South of France
Hi! I'm a hand knitter, crocheter and spinner. I've also sewn garments for myself and my husband. I quilted for many years as well. Currently, I'm knitting a Musselburgh hat and the Glenfiddich cardigan. So happy to have found your podcast and the hints and tips for where to find good fabric and yarns. I live on Orcas Island in Washington state.
Thank you very much for your lovely comment - I love to know what crafts others enjoy! I used to quilt several years ago but have given it up to make more room for knitting!
Stockings are a great way to get used to knitting socks. I think it helps you get comfortable with the different parts of a sock, but in a larger form so it is easier to see what you are doing. I made a stocking to try out stranded knitting, so there are many good uses for knitting a stocking! Your sweater is gorgeous!
I’m so glad RUclips recommended I check out your channel! I really enjoyed seeing your beautiful projects. You are delightful! Thank you for sharing. ~Amy, from Nebraska
Hi Sarah, i see you for the first but not the last time 😊 you have beautiful Projekts and yor green Dress is ablolutly amazing, i love it ❤ deer greadings from Austria Tirol 🙋♀️🥰
Loved watching you! I could never get the hang of knitting socks, so joined Arne & Carlos 2023 MKAL, my first sock ever and the penny dropped, since then I am knitting socks and did Steven West MKAL sockalong in July 2024. So YES, do the Xmas sock and that teach you all you need to know to knit socks going forward 😊
Hello! I am from the Netherlands and just found your podcast, which I am very glad of. I am also knitting an agneskofte. I use totally different colours.
Regarding socks, yes, a stocking is a great intro to sock knitting. It takes the fear and surprise out of the process. Sock knitting is so easy, just on tiny needles
Sarah, your Agnes sweater is amazing!! We just opened up yarn sets for Corinne's version in Rauma Finullgarn today, so this timing feels pretty fun. Hope you can come see us in the shop soon and we can be sweater twins!
Have really enjoyed your podcasts. I’m a fair isle knitter and love Marie Wallin and Alice Starmore. Am making the Terracotta Sweater by Le Knit and just love it. Also love knitting socks but prefer top down with a slip stitch and gusset heal. Am also doing the Arne & Carole’s Xmas stocking and am doing toe up and afterthought heel which is a first time for me. You’re an inspiration and absolutely love your first Kofta cardigan. Best from Ireland. Claire
Your podcast is lovely! I have only been watching for 2 yrs. 30 mins, 1 hour length, it doesn't matter to me! I do love your vlogs and vlogmas, and seeing what your life is like!❤ That advent idea using your own yarn is great! I too find it difficult to spend that much money on an advent calendar when I can't see the colors in advance
I really enjoy your episodes so much! I'm in Southeastern WI. Currently, I'm working on a pair of socks using stash leftovers in Christmas colors and also working on a Pinia Pullover.
Hi I,m from ALABAMA ,LOVE YOUR DRESSES YOU MADE ,AND YOUR KNITTED SWEATERS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL ,THE COLOR SCHEMES GO TOGETHER PERFECTLY . I SO ENJOY YOUR SHOW AND AM LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE OF YOUR KNITTING PROJECTS AND SEWING PROJECTS
Very impressive makes- you are such an adventurous maker! Would love to see you using your knitting machine- I have one but really have no clue what I’m doing! 😂the Clarissa dress is beautiful, you are inspiring me to sew again
Thank you! I will plan to take some knitting machine videos in the future! It’s definitely confusing in the beginning. I used the Knitting School Online lessons to get me going
I’m really enjoying your vlog! All your projects are inspirational and I’m encouraged to try them too. The Agnes looks fantastic and I love how fast you knit it. I bought the book a while ago, but was slightly intimidated by it. But not anymore since you explained your process. Thanks for sharing all your creativity with us.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Her patterns look so intricate that maybe they seem harder than they actually are. I find her instructions to be very good and pretty clear - but let me know if you need any help! Happy knitting 😊
What a pleasure to see all your wonderful handcrafts. They all are a labor of love. Sendings you my compliments from Austria. Right now i am too in many knitting and sewing projects.
Your prowess with the knitting machine is admirable! I can't believe you did the arms on it! I'm looking foward to casting on my Agnes, it possible I'll be doing some sort of Wiola along at the beginning of 2025...should you have any of her other designs in your future ;) As always, a great episode filled with all the best wools.
Thank you so much!! I’m very lucky the arms turned out well! I would definitely join in on a Wiola KAL - I’m looking forward to knitting more of her patterns!
I was thinking about making the agnes kofte and i think i am sold now 😅 i very much enjoy your podcast always inspired about the knittingmachine i think i need to setup mine too 😍 thank you for your beautiful podcast . Best regards from the Netherlands xx Jolanda
Hi from Albuquerque, New Mexico! I love your channel. You are an amazing maker! All of your items are breathtakingly beautiful. I'm very inspired by your knitwear & your sewing. Plus you exude beauty & joy. Thank you for sharing.
Hi from NH! It's so inspiring that you haven't been knitting too long because your knits are so beautiful. Pink and green are my favorite color combination and have been since I was a very little girl. I also really enjoy your sewing. The dresses are beautiful. Happy creating 💚🧶💚
Oh, I am from Montana, migrated to N. Idaho, then 30 years living in the SF Bay area, and now in my 4th year on the Big Island in the northern part where it is sometimes cold. I knit and use to sew a lot and do machine embroidery.
Oh my goodness what creative talents! Your colourwork sweater is so beautiful, and those dresses are very flattering. I've enjoyed this episode very much, thank you Sarah. I love knitting, crochet, embroidery and a little patchwork. I'm also doing the stocking each day with Arne and Carlos. I'll gift it to my granddaughter. I'm watching from New Zealand.
Maybe the Clarissa sleeves would be better to take fabric out of the sleeve cap to reduce fullness since that's where you add it when you want more poof when drafting. Just a thought... Great podcast! Love all your knits! I'm in TN.
Hello, I’m from Sweden and just found you! Very happy I did ✨🧶 i’m knitting on a Farnham sweater with a yarn intended for a christmas sweater but it didn’t work out haha. I find the pattern to be a bit confusing tho unfortunately.
Curious , how long does it take to knit a sleeve with the machine ,if you account for mounting the yarn, knitting and then grafting it tot sweater and all ?
Hi Sara. Thank you for the inspiration! I just order the Knitting for Olive yarn for Agnes. I'm so excited to knit this cardigan. Did you need more than one ball of any of the colors? The MC? I'm new to your channel and now I need to go start at Episode 1 Thank you again....Barrie
Hello! How exciting - I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with your yarn choice! For each of the yoke colors, I used only 1 ball of merino and the silk mohair (and made the size large). I would even say I used only maybe 1/2 of each ball of the yoke colors. I used 3 balls of merino and mohair for the background color, and 2 balls of the white marzipan color. Hope this helps, and happy knitting!
This was an interesting and varied podcast. I will watch again.
Awesome, thank you!
So many lovely projects! Watching from Sweden.
Thank you! 😊
Love everything you have shared. Watching from near Niagara Falls Canada
Thank you for watching!

Hello to you in Sweden! I’m currently working on Swedish pattern with Swedish yarn 😊. That’s great you could swap projects with the yarn you have!
@ I hope you like it! I really enjoy Svensk ull. And Anna Bauer is one of the coolest designers we have.
Curious , how long does it take to knit a sleeve with the machine ,if you account for mounting the yarn, knitting and then grafting it tot sweater and all ?
From start to finish (including grafting it to the sweater and doing the cuff ribbing by hand), I would say it takes about 2.5 hours.
