Who doesn’t enjoy watching you for 3 hours?!? If you are willing to so generously give up your time chatting all the things, spreading joy and laughter and keeping me company on the sofa whilst I knit, I am here for every second! Thank you ❤
I’ve been feeling very anxious and helpless today and decided to just sit down and watch some yarny RUclips. The moment I saw you two posted a video I immediately clicked on it and felt a sense of calm. Thank you for being you! I could sit and watch you two chat all day ❤
Love, love, love spending a couple of hours with you! Your positivity and excitement is so needed in the world today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart 💕
I like the long videos! I hung out with you on and off all day today - finished up a sweater, folded 3 loads of laundry, made lunch etc. And didn't doom scroll my day away 😀
You ladies are so beautiful. People can just start pausing your videos and have something more to look forward to. LOVE FGF yarn drops. Wicked. No boogers. 😂😂😂
Thank you for representing us Gen Xers with such warmth and wit! Don't shorten your videos...just keeping doing what you both want to do and we will delight in watching. Jodi, speedy recovery!
You two are such a joy to watch. You to are the Canadian sisters that remind me of the two car talk brothers, Tom and Ray. Grocery girls are the highlight of my week!
Thank you for another great episode!! I look forward to seeing you both and save your podcast to watch on my weekends! I cannot believe ppl still complain about the length of the episodes. As a viewer, I choose when to watch, I wish these ppl would stop complaining!!!!
Love your long videos. I don't watch in one sitting. Best wishes on the hip replacement. Love all the items you offer in your shop. I always feel tempted but not pressure to buy which makes watching wonderful. Love the kit ideas. Love finding out about new, fun, useful notions.
Hi Jodi and Tracie, Thanks again for another enjoyable and inspiring episode! Please don't cut your podcast short ! Wishing you a speedy hip replacement recovery Jodi, the nursing staff get you up and about fast! Happy Knitting!
I hope you’ll be my emotional support Canadians for the next four years! You always provide me with a happy place in the middle of chaos. Jodi, I had both knees replaced in my mid-50’s. Over 15 years later, I’m still so thankful my doctor didn’t force me to wait until I was older. You’ll do great. Just do the exercises your rehab therapist tells you to do.
Jodi, i pray everything goes well for the surgery. I also love it when you two speak of crafts and middle aged issues. I do pray that if people have to speak their mind on politics that we all agree to disagree politely. There is no reason of a little jab of this or that. Lets talk crafting. I do pray that everyone in the world has The Whole Armor of God over them.
Had a total right hip replacement 9/11/24 and it has been life changing. So happy for you! It is amazing how fast we recover. Surgery was at 7 and I was home by 4 pm and feeling good. Being pain free is the best ! Best wishes Jodi !!
That's my story almost exactly! Surgery 9/8/24, first surgery of the day and home in the afternoon. Life is so much better with no pain. Best of luck with your surgery and recovery, Jodi!
Here from Kentucky in the US. I love listening to both of you, beautiful ladies, and commend your celebration and cavalier discussions of middle age. I, too, am a middle-aged lady, and your discussions are so relatable. Thank you both for being your wonderful selves. Congratulations and best of luck on your surgery, Jodi.
Only 20 minutes in without any knitting chat yet and I’m totally busting a gut 🤣🤣 Jodi, ordering 4 Starbucks drinks and the purse in the sink 🤣🤣 Can’t wait to hear what’s next!! I LOVE you ladies.
I enjoy the long videos because I can get my GG fix over several days. This is really nice when you have a longer time between podcasts. Keep up the good work and Jodi I hope all goes well with your surgery.
I don't think you need to limit your time for each video. If I can't watch it all at once, I can just come back and listen more later.. i''mconcerned that if you do limited time , you will inhibit your joyful spontaneity.
You helped me get through a good portion of of my day. It’s been a rough week. You are a wonderful escape from this current reality. Please don’t shorten your videos, I love listening to you girls. Jodi, you goof!! I saw NO BOOGERS!!😂
Thanks for the love, Tracie and Jodi! I have been struggling with how to show love when I am so afraid for the future now. I truly feel grief but you remind me of the positive coping methods I can use as a knitter.
Normally I am watching your videos on replay as I am normally working. I absolutely love the longer videos. I can get so much knitting or crochet done while watching. Looking forward to 12 days.
Hi girls!! I’m in Hawaii. We came Friday and going home on the 25th. Yesterday was my 63birthday. Tomorrow is our 42nd wedding anniversary. We are having so much fun. It’s 2 in the morning and I’m watching. Thank you once again.
Always love it when there's a new podcast to keep me company while knitting. So much fun! Thank you so much for the shout out ❤. Already looking forward to next week!
Jodi so happy you are close to getting a new hip! My niece just got one in Sept and can’t wait for her other one in January! You won’t get much bed time!! They get you moving!! If you are de-stashing my cousin is a teacher at a high school with many troubled kids! She started a knitting program after school and the kids are actually loving it. These are kids from very poor families. Erin is an angel and cares so much for her kids. She would love anything you can share. Thank you for being so generous! Great podcast girls!!! I got so much knitting done!!!❤❤
Thank you for being here for us all. A breath of normalcy. I live in Oregon so you can imagine what we are all going through, DEVASTATING! Please don’t judge us from this. I can’t even watch any news anymore. My country has SO DISAPPOINTED me and my heart is BROKEN.❤
Omg Jodie! A similar thing just happened to me but with a foam soap dispenser. I was at a wedding and put my small clutch on the side of the sink while I was in the stall. I came out to find a huge whipped cream mound of foam on my black purse. When I went to move it, the sensor activated and added a second pile!🤣🤣Can’t make this stuff up. Xxoo💕
I love you girls!!! Don't make it shorter. I just watch it over two days!!! As a new knitter I'd like to see a technique. I love all the talk and to see all the new products. You girls make me wish I had a sister. God bless you on your surgery. You make me laugh
I'm so glad you're able to get your new hip soon, Jodi! Practice with the mobility aids beforehand, so the stairs are a doddle afterward (my FIL did that!). Smart thinking about the picker-upper and the toilet seat. I also strongly recommend a bidet toilet seat; it's made a huge difference in my household!
OMG!!!! Jodi!!! I did the same exact thing with my purse in the sink at the hospital bathroom after my mammogram a few years ago!!!!! It was raining that day too, so I thought I was hearing the rain pouring down on the roof, but it was the automatic faucet pouring water into my purse. I got my phone wet and it never recovered 😢😅😂😂😂I didn’t want to set my purse down on the floor in a hospital bathroom!!!!!UGH!!!!!😂
Good luck with the surgery my neighbour just had both knees done….her advice is to follow surgeons recovery instructions & do your rehab….i don’t mind long episodes it never feels long you are both so entertaining 🙂
Thank-you Tracie and Jodi for another great one!! Especially excited to try knitting with roving. I have some Briggs and Little Roving in my stash from my dryer balls making days!!! You can also hold mohair or other fine fluffy yarns with it to add colour!!! I saw a beautiful Petite Knit Lulu knit with roving that is currently the first featured one on the project page. It's absolutely beautiful and I think a vest is a good way to start with that yarn...thank-you ladies....oh and Jodi.....your estrogen is dropping rapidly hence hotflashes. When you get to 8 hotflashes per attempted sleep cycle you will look for answers and BHRT was the answer for me.
A colleague who is a PE teacher in her fifties had a hip replacement earlier this year. Now she's going hiking in the mountains again! fingers crossed! 🐑🙂
I have to agree that as an American I am so very disappointed and upset. The two of you have brought some sunshine to me to. Thank you. I have marked my calendar and look forward to seeing you next week. ❤
Hello from Montreal! Lovely episode that got me through some dishes, some ironing, some knitting and even a bit of correcting. I'm a grade 6 teacher and I teach my students to knit as a means to deal with anxiety ( so many anxious students!). The kids enjoy it but are often losing or damaging the needles and I have no funding for any of the materials...
Thanks ladies, for your emotional support today. It's a tough week... the future is uncertain here and I keep bursting into tears. I'm so glad you'll be getting your hip replacement ASAP Jodi! Get it done and move on into a pain free life! Mine are both done and I'm no longer struggling with pain and physical limitations.
I love Starbucks, spend way too much money there but so what -my addictions Starbucks and yarn, hahha --love the Dark Christmas blend hot coffee, no syrups, just a cold foam, just tried the Salted Pecan Crunch cold foam, very yummy
I had my right hip replaced in April and the left hip in August. Recovery was easy. Just make sure you have a good physiotherapist to hep with the recovery.
Don't unravel!!! I just finished the home v neck by caidree. It is also a drop shoulder and I had the same panic moment. I knit with drops air, which i adore!! Got perfect gauge and it fits perfectly. Trust the process
Wasn't able to catch this LIVE but had a blast watching tonight. First of all I MUST make that cowl and I need sparkle! Second, you two are SO freaking generous those 12-ish days of December giveaways are going to be amazing. P.S. I am sitting here watching this wearing my Felix pullover in unspun - I had a moment with it, and I do enjoy the lightweight nature of it - however I only enjoy unspun that is knit with one strand of mohair or suri for durability. OH OH and McCausland's in PEI has unspun that is absolutely wonderful. Even Jodi would like it.
Good luck with the surgery, Jodi. My hubby had a knee replacement this past February and yes, it is life changing. Just be sure to fully commit to your physio regime. It made a world of difference for Andrew.
Hi. In 1987 I was 21 and had my first hip replacement, due to hip dysplasia. I have found the recover and post op pain is so much easier and quicker now.
Jody I have had both of my hips replaced in my fifties due to hip dysplasia. Best decision I ever made. I'm so much more mobile, out of pain and recovery was quick. Follow up physical therapy is the trick.
I had my hip done in June. Make sure you get slip in’s by Sketchers, what a game changer because you won’t be able to bend over to tie your shoes. Also, if you wear socks, get a thing that you put your sock on and slip your foot inside and pull the sock up. I got mine on Amazon. Get a basket for your walker to carry things in. Handles to help you get in the shower. I wish the best for you. It is definitely the best thing I did. Good luck!
Jodi wishing you Good Health and sending prayers to the doctors hands that he can accomplish a successful surgery and replacement hip for you. Thank you ladies for not taking a political stand- but offering words of encouragement. As for me, I am hoping that I have a few extra $$ in my pocket (instead of my gas tank) for more yarny stuff.
Jodi, the absolute best Halloween costume i saw this year on a kid at my door was a Crazy Cat Lady!! She just wore an old bathrobe with cat stuffies hanging off the robe! 😅
Can I just say how beautiful your skin is, girls. You look gorge! No podcast can be too long! ❤❤❤ Q. Would it be better to hold the unspun with a thinner yarn, eg lace weight? Would that make any difference to ease of knit? Anyone out there know? X ps I'm newly retired and I LOVE it❤ and now I've got to zoom in for a better look😂😂😂
Please don’t limit your time. You two offer so much value. Every second of your chats are worth watching
I cant believe they get this feedback
I love your long videos!!!! I watch an hour at a time, and watch it over 2-3 days. It makes me feel happy for a couple days instead of just one. 🥰
Who doesn’t enjoy watching you for 3 hours?!? If you are willing to so generously give up your time chatting all the things, spreading joy and laughter and keeping me company on the sofa whilst I knit, I am here for every second! Thank you ❤

I so look forward to your videos. Please don’t shorten them too much. I can never get enough of listening to you!!!!❤
