Maybe tell us exactly what products you are using? What usb-c hub is on the iPad? (They actually make one with an Ethernet port so you don’t need yet another dongle adapter).
If you have time, i'd love to connect with you on your setup. I have almost the same identical setup with the same mixer/equipment but i have some standard mixer questions. If you ever have time to do a tutorial on the Allen and H mixer. How you set up your different mixes, and connect it to a Mac or Ipad it would be super helpful. There aren't many allen and heath video's specific to this, and since you have one of those top quality mixers, it would help us out. If you want to link up direct let me know. Hope to hear from you!
For Better audio switcher pad in front with Pastor and one in back in sound booth would help with sound...plus audio interface should be hooked up to your computer???
Thanks for this much needed tutorial. I’ve purchased everything you’ve recommended for set up. After setting it up we still ran into an issue. People can not hear the feed on Facebook when the SS mic is muted on my iPad. If I unmute it, they can hear what’s coming through the church mics, AND the iPad (SS). How do I mute switcher without muting the church mics feed? Someone please lend some advice. We’re going to try set up again Saturday morning.
unmute the mic. It mutes itself internally once there is an audio input into the ipad so it will not pic up external sound like a cough or sneeze, etc. The sounds that it picks up is whatever is piped from the soundboard.
it would help if you tried to use 2 XLR(microphone) inputs instead of one. the iPad will receive that input as one-side mono input. two input will be left and right. but overall this is a good helpful setup
but if ur looking for upgrading keep any cams with hdmi run that cabel to a siwtcher (i suggest atem mini pro for ur step up that be the best ) connect the switcher via usb cable to lap and stream directly to any soical media platforms and if u wanna show grapics or images just connect any divice to the switcher with hdmi
Great Job Pastor!! If 9 and 10 are the bus output add another XLR and it would come out stereo, look in the back of the board to see what's connected 9-10 with an XLR to the audio interface :) let me know what you think blessings...
Would be good to see how you switch the audio input with in the studio app. Mine always stays on internal microphone no matter how I connect it to our audio interface.

Sorry I missed this. everything was purchased through amazon. for quicker communication as I miss these comments, you can email me at jaymontgomery@yahoo.com it was a usb-c hub with an audio port, lightning cable port (to charge), and two usb ports
the top row on the back of the mixer are the outputs, the row below that has 10 XLR ports, we're using an open port. For us, it was labeled channel 10. We connected the audiobox to that channel
So you connect the audio interface to any channel? I got a peavey mixer for our church and also can you control instruments sounds coming out of switcher studio?

Good Evening, what is the name of the port which will allow me to charge and get sound, I have the one port from Apple, but need to charge the pad while streaming...
Sorry. Im not sure. I don’t know a lot about mixers but through several trials and errors and watching RUclips videos, that’s how I learned about our system. I followed up it’s recorded audio, going back and tweaking different things to get the best possible sound for our set up. Hope that helps but sorry I don’t have more information than that. Grace, Jay
Correct. Wifi caused too many glitches. I will add that once each device is hardwired in order for it not to bump into default and try to connect to an external Wi-Fi router, turn off Wi-Fi for each device. We had to learn this as even though we were hardwired with ethernet we were still having glitches with latency and it was because they were defaulting to Wi-Fi even though we are attached to ethernet. By researching, I found out that each device had to be turned off individually for Wi-Fi
Great video! Are you still using your projector during service? I have the switcher studio app for my church, and I’m trying to figure out how to display the service on the screens. Please let me know if u have any suggestions. Thank you.
on the back of our mixer, we have 3 rows of ports. Im not fluent in the verbage of a mixer but the top row in the back of our mixer is designated mic (several channels) the second row are ports for xlr cables. The second row receives male ports. The bottom row has the fewest number of "channels" and we are plugged into #10 (an open channel for us) The xlr cable from the audiobox has a "receiving" port at its end and we plug that into the designated channel. Sorry, if anyone else can elaborate or articulate better, please assist.
We got away from Wi-Fi and we have it directly wired into the iPad from an ethernet cable adapter. Wi-Fi was too unpredictable with freezing and not giving solid connections
you will not because all audio is coming from the mix from the soundboard. connecting additional iphones/sources are video only I believe. We use 3 sources. 2 ipads and 1 iphone. The iphone is our main video source. All sources can be connected via wifi but we found that the quality is much better if they are hardwired via ethernet cable. By having the main Switcher Studio ipad connected to the soundboard, all audio comes from their and not the ipads or iphones. There may be a way to do it but that's someone else expertise and probably a completely different video.
