    Oh my gosh this video explains exactly what I'm feeling right now. I havent eaten so many of my favorite foods in 5 months and everytime it shows great signs of healing, it will come back full force and put me down so badly. Another thing that makes me frustrated is that literally no one else in my family (I have a twin brother) has this issue and they dont really get eczema and that it's not a linear process like I'm going to get flareups. Im so so grateful for your knowledge that you share through your videos and your support!

      Thank you for sharing your appreciation Cassie! It brings me so much joy to know I can support you from afar! It can be extremely lonely when it seems like you are suffering alone, but as you can tell from the comments and my experience, you are not alone and you can heal from inside out and you will be ok, you are ok :)

    My eczema flared up a few months ago amd I took steroids both pills and creams, it became a cycle of taking steroids, reflaring, until i did research and found out the damage i was doing to myself. Now my eczema is the worst it's ever been and it's still getting worse, I've spent alot of money I don't have on this issue,I'm getting insomnia, I feel embarrassed and uncomfortable, I've fallen into depression, but after watching ur videos I've been inspired to put in more effort to helping my body heal, I just started my healing diet, and I promise I'll be patient with myself. Thank you so much Dawn.

    Dear Dawn, I can’t thank you enough for all the support, information and *hope* you keep on giving us with your wonderful videos. To say that I’m grateful to find your account is an understatement. I’ve had eczema since I was a baby, now I’m 20 years and I hate it. It took most of my confidence, i was embarrassed and ashamed of it(I have it on my feet). I still am. But your story gives me hope. If you had it all over your body and cured it, i can. I just need perseverance.
    Right now, I’m having a *Huge* flare up and I was eating good! I also have stomachache and my stomach feels “funny”. I don’t know it it’s related to my eczema or some kind of food poisoning, when only my feet eczema flare up and my belly kinda aches? I hope it’s eczema related and means I’m healing🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

But Ive been hit with a huge healing crisis, and I really want to use a bit of steroid creams (I am aware of how ez they are to abuse) to relieve some symptomatic pain. Do u think healing excema is possible while using some steroids to relieve pain and itch? ❤

    • @dawnforlife
      @dawnforlife  9 месяцев назад +1

      I'm not a medical professional so..this is just my experience. Personally, I think topical..mayyyybe not too bad but oral steroids, the withdrawal symptoms were wayyyy worse than the eczema I initially experienced. I won't use it but that's because mine is never so bad anymore..so..I'd say last resort..
      Also, consider something that could be triggering or go easier on the detox, sometimes I think too big of a reaction could also mean our liver and kidney are struggling.

    I have never had Eczema in my life before. However, after a lot of loss in my life, including the death of my husband, and unbelievable stress, I suddenly had a flare up of eczema on my one leg. I find that using a capful of Betadene (iodene) mouth wash, mixed with a little water (boiled, not straight from tap) and using a wad of cotton wool to Dan and wipe onto effected area, takes the inflammation away, and stops the itch. I do this 3 times a day. The Betadene I use has iodene in it so make sure you are not allergic to iodene if you want to give it a try, or speak to your doctor or medical worker first. It works for me but best get a second opinion before trying it on your own eczema. Bio oil is supposed to help the dryness... Haven't tried it yet...anyone got advice on Bio oil?

    • @dawnforlife
      @dawnforlife  4 года назад +2

      Well..that's a hard one..our bodies produces steroids naturally but if we take it constantly, our bodies don't really produce them the way they naturally would anymore..so you can do that but I'm not too sure if it helps as eventually, you may still need go through (Topical steroid withdrawal (TSW). Consult a naturopath doctor if you can! If you are steroids dependent, you must taper off slowly. It's very dangerous to just stop suddenly.

      Just a quick note, still be aware of what you eat right? Because it can still be something that may have caused it, if you ate something different. But if it was kept to the usual then it should be healing crisis :)
      If you've done it so far without medication, then there is no need but in case you ever need, see a functional medicine doctor who would treat the root cause and not just giving you pills to suppress and add more toxins to the body :)

      Hey Jennifer, anti histamine may help reduce the itch but not get rid of eczema.
      In my experience, it was very severe and didn't work for me at all. But it's definitely better to take some if someone cannot stop scratching and continuously follow a healthy lifestyle to detox the pill that is actually suppressing the symptoms. Not really getting rid of eczema.

    I really like and agree with what you're talking about. However, I think that it most applies to adults eczema, but what about children? My boy is 3 years old now, and he's got eczema since he was 2 months old. I would like to mention that he was breastfed for more than 15 months.
    Do you have any opinions about kids' eczema, please?

    • @dawnforlife
      @dawnforlife  3 года назад +1

      Hey Dobra! I'm glad you found it helpful. I too had bad eczema as a baby. To be honest, now that I've learnt more, though very controversial (but since you asked), I personally believe mine could be a reaction to vaccines. Not sure if your boy is vaccinated. Especially when that young. If it's a child already on solids, it could still be a gut issue. Having said that, what you consume in terms of food and products may also have an impact. I'm not a medical professional and all these are just guessing game. Perhaps search for a functional doctor near you to guide would be great :)

    • @dobramihaela4121
      @dobramihaela4121 3 года назад

      Hi Dawn! 😀
      Thank you very much for your reply, I really appreciate it!
      Yes, my guessing is the same, that my boy got eczema as a side effect of the vaccination. I read so much and watched so many videos about eczema and my conclusion is that he developed it after he got his first vaccination. Otherwise, I don't understand how a breastfed infant would get eczema all of a sudden. Why not getting it before he was vaccinated?
      My real struggle now is to find a way to help my boy get through this, and I am really confident that I can find a way to heal my boy and help him get rid of the itchiness and all the pain that he's going through. Honestly, my heart eachs every time I see my little boy struggling not to scratch his little hands. He's really strong willed for a 3 year old!
      Thank you again for your kind reply Dawn!

      @@dobramihaela4121 If anything, I hope I can continue to be your source of hope. I had eczema and was so bad around 3 years old that my dad had to shaved off all of my hair. I only made the connections recently about the ingredients in vaccines when I got pregnant. I'm certain that your boy will find healing eventually because he has a great mama to guide him and with so much more available information out there. My mom did her best but at that time, it was more of "learn as she goes" since it's harder to find and learn about others' journey.

My eczema on my legs is trying to heal but I still get flare ups and starting to get rashes on my arms and my upper body. Hi Betty, as much as I would love to tell you something certain, healing crisis is VERY different from one person to another. Some may get it after 3 days, some after 3 months.
      Having said that, you can always start on a small dose, like 2 pills a day so that any healing crisis will be very minimal. Then when you are ready, increase the amount, healing may happen faster but symptoms will be worse too.

      @@mdsanjidurrahman8038 You mean how many billion probiotics to take? haha I don't know, I go by pills hahaah Since you are just 20% remaining, you can take according to the box. The thing with healing crisis and probiotics is the more probiotics you take the more intense your healing crisis will but but it also cuts short the time of healing crisis (basically boosting immunity = more detox = more possible healing crisis).
      So either way..with a good diet, your gut in a healthy environment will also promote growth of good bacteria, which means over time you could stop taking supplements. As we know, it's quite pricey. So these days, I just have it spare around the house for when I feel like I might get sick, then I'll take for precaution.
