That Asterix and Obelix is an arcade remake! I’m pretty sure i played that in the european “luna parks” (arcade halls on belgium carnivals/kermis) in the 90s. Brings back my memory, i completely forgot about that arcade! That was good fun!

Deathsmiles I & IIX were two games that made me import a Japanese 360 back in the day. The system still has an insanely stellar shoot em up selection and I still fire it up a few times a month. Some of which are region locked, but most seem to get reissued these days on the PS4/Switch.

Just want to say I got the Castlevania Anniversary Collection through the Nintendo eShop about 3 months back I think I only paid not even $9 for it. That and the Contra collection were on sale at the same time the contract collection is also very good. I got both. Anyways thank you always for serving our country. love your pick up vids. So many go on my wish list, as your tastes in games are awesome, and always discover indie of A listed games I would have missed... Its always such a shame that xbox dont have many of these, in todays limited space for me I have switched to digital, but have no trust in Nintendo or Sony honouring or carrying over digital sales (look at Sonys recent psvr 2 debacle), where as Microsoft and PC I do.
For me recently I picked up the cowabunga collection... Donut Dodo on PC (its comin to switch soon), lego hobbit, tales of arise and a few others in the sale. Also excitedly waiting to pick up the new Return to monkey island game. I have really curbed my spending on games, as realised I just never get time to play them...especially since my grand daughter came along 😆😆

That’s easy. We do some research with our phones of the game, decide if it’s good abs decide if we wanna pay the price.
I seem to be picking up a lot of the same games these days. Love the retro releases on new consoles. Anything with that arcade aesthetic, 2D sprites. I can't get enough of it these days. It is hard to keep up with all the releases though. There are far too many limited release companies (Limited Run, Strictly Limited, Special Reserve Games, Iam8bit, etc.)

I've heard of the Jimmy and Johnson anything with an Engine game, I knew it was on the 360, physical and the like, didn't know there was a PS3 version and with it being a dumb fun Kart Racer I'm definitely intrigued and may have to keep an eye on it in case I see a Physical copy out in the wild.
Even though I am a pretty fussy gamer and I am very selective about the games I buy and invest time in I know how most games out there look, play, were received and what genre they are and what they're about - this is all for the gaming culture and you're a big part of that reggie, keep the videos coming!

It works well but is time limited. You may have to get a little further to unlock specials I can’t remember exactly

I don't wanna start in the desert made me lol 🙂 Puri Kura's graphics looks great! Cotton Reboot is also another one game, which has fantastic graphics. Buffy the Vampire Slayer for Nintendo DS was big surprise! I did not that this game existed! Great presentation of many games!
Pocky and Rrocky reshrined is amazing, it gets a lot easier after the first level, there is a char that strafes.
Yeah the first level boss for the new switch Pocky&Rocky game can be brutal. I'm so used to the counter-attack/dodge mechanics that current games have nowadays that I kept tying to do that and had to force myself to realize that the game doesn't have that mechanic.

Got the Castlevania Collection at Best Buy for a great price. Overall I'm enjoying playing all the games but have to say my favorite is Castlevania IV.

nice pickups pal, i also got deathsmiles, never played them before but loved it! Also got pocket & rocket but not a fan of it and was soon sold on. Asterix slap them all is not bad but rather repetitive, enjoyed it though. Like the look of that gunvolt game, may pick that up. Love blazing chrome, got it on ps4 but want it on switch. Picked up cotton fantasy, good also.

I’m was talking about or meant to say the deathsmiles II physical is Japanese buddy.
@@The_RadicalOne It got a PAL release too. It comes with a full-colour manual, a PC app on a disc (that I've never installed) and a soundtrack CD. One of my first and favourite Cave shmups.

Hey Reggie, you probably know about this game since you love survival horrors but thought I mentioned it, White Day: A Labyrinth Named School. I recently just found out about this game not too long ago and it was on PS4 several years back but is recently getting a switch port.

Some extra feedback on the house of the dead remake on Switch, I think Reggie said he didn't try motion controls on one of Jason's videos, so if anyone is getting it with the intention of using motion controls, I wouldn't bother - they are truly awful, it's near impossible to fire and keep the controller still :(
I was hoping that try them but I saw the negative feedback from people online about them.
There was a Resident Evil like game on the DS that isn't RE Deadly Silence?! Woah Might have to check out that Buffy game due to it doing that.

Try playing pocky and rocky with an arcade stick, it makes the game way easier, TBH I thought the game was kinda boring cause of how easy it was (I play tons of bullet hells though, so maybe the games just easier than bullet hells? not sure)
