I saw this wonderful group in a supper club in Illinois in the 1940’s. I was a little girl who loved their song Paper Doll. I am so happy to have found them on UTube. Brings up so many wonderful memories. God bless their souls and their families.
Grew up on Big Band and all these cool groups!! Mom and Dad would dance to them, later on when Mom got Dementia/Alzheimer’s we would play this music and she would sing along, word for word. Amazing what good music can do, miss you mom😞
Such a talented family! Hearing them brings back such wonderful memories of the happiness their singing generated. I was around the age of three or four when I first heard them & am happily singing along now with a huge smile on my face. Thank you for sharing their talents with us once again. The world at large could use their positive, happy talents right now especially. Music is so magical that way...especially *THEIRS* . 💞
THERE WILL NEVER BE A GROUP TO SURPASS THE SOUND OF THE MILLS BROTHERS. WATCHING THESE VIDEOS THAT i'VE BOOKMARKED BRINGS BACK THE PAST WITH MIXED FEELINGS OF SADNESS AND JOY. THEY WERE MY FATHER'S FAVORITES. MY FATHER DIED IN 1972 AND WATCHING THESE VIDEOS BRINGS MY FATHER BACK TO ME.
I grew up listening and marveling at the Mills Brother's music. They were my father's favorite group and mine as well. So much talent! I admire and love these guys. Thank you for putting this beautiful tribute together.
Thanks for sharing. My grandparents turned me on to these cats in the late 60s when I was just a pup. Harry, Donald, and Herbert are still the best sounding trio I heave heard to this day.
.............. My only complaint about all three videos is they were too short. i could have listened to part 10........................... I was glued to all three. What a treasure these guys were. Todays groups should listen to these guys and learn........ And never a vulgar word in their songs. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I wasn't born until they'd been singing 30 years, yet Yellow bird was sung to me all through my childhood....by family . This is the measure of great singers
I really felt sorry for Harry Mills, such a great stage personality. In the later engagements he had lost so much weight! You could tell he was in bad shape. Some don't know it but Dean Martin based his stage presence based on Harry Mills. These guys were the greatest, many thanks Bruno for posting these videos so the Mills Bros. will be preserved.
Each of them has their own unique style/personality and talents. I liked them all and enjoy their music very much so. The Mills Brothers Story is a great piece. Really hated to accept this’s the last episode. Thanks again for sharing. I’m appreciated.
Thank you so much for finding this video and uploading it. Wonderful story and such great, great interviews. I'm guessing it was the Danish Radio Big Band on the Tivoli footage. One of the best big bands in the world.
Bruno thank you so much for imercing me in such great music. I've spent the whole evening reminiscing my uncles when they used to play there records of the Mills Bros Most of them 78s
The story of this talented, successful, family of performers deserve of course a book regaling there triumphs in show business. Not just the longevity but the barriers traversed and global native 🧕🏿🦹🏾♂️👌🏾🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🥰😇
I don't know Herberts voice but I bet it was wonderful but he didn't sing many solos. However Donald and Harry who i have heard both have the most beautiful voices and the most talented musicianship i have ever heard in my life of looking for great singers.
You try singing 3 piece harmony through a Unidyne from the 60’s. THEN you can comment on the audio. These guys were true masters. In any situation, and conditions, any size audience. Battle conditions, and they Always delivered with a smile. And your comment is “crappy audio”. They were true gentleman and never had an unkind word for anyone.

In the mid 90s I had a chance to see Donald and his son John perform in Piqua, Ohio. I could not get off work and to this day, I regret it.
