The Mills Brothers were so cool. I hope they're never forgotten.
I agree
I help to keep them going as much as possible
As long as there's the likes of you & me, this kind of music will live on.
Nat King Cole, the Mills Brothers, Nelson Riddle-how could it get any better?
My mother loved and adored the Mills Brothers and thankfully passed that love and adoration to me. ❤❤❤
We didn’t have a TV at that time, but I remember listening to him and the Mills Brothers on the radio. Great music.
Nat King Cole, smooth and heartfelt, fine entertainer. Joy fills the air when Mr. Cole sings!
No wonder the Mills Brothers staid together for so many decades. They were the most relaxed group ever to appear on stage. And Nat King Cole also had a wonderfully easygoing presence. I miss that.
And they still sound cool.
Too often today, performers act like they're bestowing us an honor just by their presence. These entertainers truly gave of themselves, more and more again.
False Bravado = Insecurity
Very well said! I miss the days of clean pure genuine entertainment. What we have now is godless filth.
I WAS AGE 20 & PROBABLY WATCHED...TODAY AT 84 I STILL PLAY THEM...LUCKY ME!!! RIP
Try to find talent like this today.
Love nat king Cole and mills brothers
😢
When Nat King Cole and The Mills Brothers get together it is really a marvellous show!
the greatest singing group in the history of music, THE MILLS BROTHERS
Now that's class. That's music. That's entertainment. What a talent!
My mom always watched the Nat king Cole show. Love the mills brothers as well

Spectacular!!!
Pure Class
Brilliant! You don’t see this anymore
Ill add this. Nice music by the Mills brothers and of course Nat. Nelson Riddle.
Oh,how it's swings Mills and King Cole. ✊ 👏
And NORMAN BROWN. 🎸
A esperança é que todas gerações aprendam como cantar, dançar e levar a alegria como esses homens fizeram.
These are my kind of entertainers. I remember these guys for sure.
The Mills Bros. were Dean Martin's favorite & I'd like to add Nat King Cole and Nelson Riddle. What a treat !!
White America wasn’t ready for a Black man that was this cool.
TRUE TAT- NOT ready for Obama
too sad really
They actual;ly were as they were buying his records. It was Madison Ave. that didn't take a fancy to Cole.
@@pierrerochon7271 Really? So it was only the votes of blacks that put Obama in the White House?
It was the South. They were going to his shows and buying the albums everywhere else. He was a huge artist at the time.
Absolutely magical panache.
Great entertainment... Nothing like that today...
un vrai cadeau !
never heard them do that Christmas song before, and i loved it!
10:04 trombone demonstration, love it!
Powerful show
They were in their PRIME! Wow!
What Talent. What Class. Thanks for posting this!
My pleasure!
what a wonderful show..... Nat and the Mills Bros. are the greatest performers and people of all time! thanks for posting!
I was a junior in college when this program was recorded. You can understand why it took me a long time to get tune with music in the sixties and on, after a life time with music like this. Thoroughly enjoyed this post, Aidan.
a trick: watch movies at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Stetson Case definitely, have been using flixzone for since december myself :)
@Stetson Case definitely, I've been using flixzone for since november myself :D
Wonderful 🙂
Today’s musical acts don’t come close to these guys in terms of talent. No political comments, just great music, presented seemingly effortlessly (although as a musician myself, I know it’s not effortless!!)
What music should sound like.
That was terrific! Thanks for putting it on youtube.
Glad you enjoyed it!
uh!!
A *HEROIC* upload!!
How good were the Mills Bros?.
Such a tragedy that the guitar playing brother died so young. Look up "How Ya' Doin?" The man kills on guitar.
Great show it is saddened me no one wanted to sponsor him number 1 show the great nat king cole
In the fall of 1957, Nat was presented on a "co-op" basis; that is, different regional advertisers placed commercials during the show (in New York, Rheingold beer not only sponsored Nat, he also appeared in at least one "integrated" commercial for them during the program). But the network wanted to *SELL* the time slot [Tuesdays, 7:30pm(et)] to a national sponsor- featuring someone who wasn't black. They offered him a "fringe" time period on Saturdays at 7pm; Carlos Gastel, Nat's agent, insisted he wouldn't accept that. NBC gave him a "take it or leave it" attitude; Nat "left it", because he was tired of fighting with them over the small production budget he was forced to stage his show with, and their not doing enough to "sell" him to a major sponsor. The following week's program was the last of the series.
Love this
Massive and impressive Sayonara performance by Nat King Cole, really loved it
Could you possibly cram any more raw talent into one 23 minute video clip???? I would find it nearly impossible.
One of the Cheerleaders sure looked like one of the Williams Bros.
At the very right in the beginning is Andy Williams Brother, Don Williams who is the last one still alive today
Mpbさんに感謝。
😢
No sponsor what a shame.
Nat's voice sounds scratchy and unsure, especially on the low notes. Mills brothers are always a joy to hear though.
How'd you get the whole show?!
Does anyone know if this christmas song was ever recorded?
Different class
Paul Quinn saltcoats
Sayonara goodbye ❤️
huh???
Like the song, LOVE Nat King Cole, but it isn't his song.
It was Nat "King" Cole who made Nelson Riddle famous, not Frank Sinatra.
No business like show business
Is that Ozzie Nelson in the vocal group? Asking for a friend.
Nope. He was busy producing, directing, co-writing and starring on his own series at the time.
no company would sponsor the Nat king Cole show because of racism...add that to americas shame
Well, not on a national basis, BUT Rheingold beer sponsored on the east coast and Schenley on the west coast.
Couldn't get a sponser because of his skin color. the generation before me were conditioned to being assholes sometimes.
