Rarely do I enjoy when someone else sings with the Mills Brothers. Mr. Crocker did a great job. Thank you for the upload of my favorite grpup ever: The Mills Brothers.🙏
A very interesting group ... Harry the charismatic extrovert, Don in the middle and Herbert who avoided the solo and any public speaking .. all with fabulous voices. Barry Crocker deserved to perform with them as he had an authentic strong voice that shone in live performances ...I’m sure The Mills Bros were more accustomed to miming on American TV so it was probably a treat for them too.
@@barrycrocker7358 .. you must have some amazing memories .. hosting a variety show meant that you had the opportunity to sing with some of the greats .
@slatsp1 truly envious....i've spent half my working life in the music industry here in Oz and have never seen or heard anything from a vocal group that comes close to the Mills Bros....lots of great singers of course, but to have 2 incredible leads supported by Herb's fabulous high harmony voice all in the one package, never to be repeated i fear.
Between Dave Guard's Dave Place and Barry Crocker's show, there was a lot of great television. And having one of the premier vocal groups of the 20th century as guests is merely the icing on the cake. Absolute utter perfection!
Once again a great performance and with such ease. Too bad smythe0001 did not get a chance to see them in person. I was lucky to see them 4 times and it was unbelievable how easy going they were & had the audience "in their hands". I met them individually too, really class act.

@@bazzaonetube Hi Barry. I just found it strange that Harry? had his arms so tightly crossed at the start of the conversation, as if in a protective gesture. Great video and thanks for posting.
Seeing the Mills Bros. always, always makes me happy.
Unbelievable, that so much talent is in one family and for such a long time.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was so hypnotized with this wonderful and irreplaceable group that I almost forgot to give my thumbs up!
I want to thank my father for educating me and turning me on to the Mills brothers . How lucky am I.
You did the right thing in listening to your father; it was a great thrill to join them all those years ago on my show. So glad you enjoyed! Barry.
Me too. My father introduced me to them. ❤

I actually don't think they mimed on American TV shows - at least not with Dean Martin. You should search those videos. They are golden.

And in the USA, of all places... a hotbed of racism, as the media would have you believe every election year. 😆👌🏼

Splendid performance! Excellent mannerisms and professionalism. What a number!
Mannerisms not indicative of oppressed people, just plain ol American boys with a boatload of talent.
Thank you for enjoying! Barry.
Class act .....
Thank you, on behalf of all. Baz

Never met them personally, but made sure I bought their records as soon as they came out. Yes, I'm that old.
Jesus! What a great clip! I would give my right nut to have seen the Mills Brothers on one of these tours of theirs....alas too young. Nice one Bazza.
Glad you still have your 2 nuts, but they were great fun to work with, and one of the highlights of my early career. Baz
@@barrycrocker7358 Nice to hear from you Baz, You are a goddamn legend! Love your work.
The coolest people who ever existed. Excluding the lanky boy ofcourse
Harry's ways are so funny :D
They were all wonderful, but you're right Harry lead the way; fabulous memories! Baz.
Omg are you the white guy?
your last name better be MILLS if you wanna sing 4 part harmony with these giants!
And in true genius fashion, they made it look easy. So effortless.
We did it, and they welcomed me into their midst. Wonderful memories. Baz.

LOVE the Mills brothers, the coolest, swingingest, greatest vocal group of all time!!
I didn’t know that John Cleese could sing so well! 😜☺️.
I’ve always wondered Why Herb never takes a solo - it’s always Don or Harry. Herb never speaks and seems content to stay in the background.
If you want to hear a solo of his search for:
Mills brothers documentary part 2
Most live versions of "Bye, Bye Blackbird" Herb gets a couple of lines. Always a treat to hear his voice solo.
Herb sings the solo "Since we fell out of love" (Mills Brothers)......
