For myself: Crochet ribbing to fit waist. Hdc around next rnd Put stitch markers across from each other. Increase every ODD rnd in these marked stitches. Hdc around in every EVEN stitch.
So I understand you only inc in every other row, but the 2nd row that gets the inc (3rd row overall) which stitch do you put the inc in? The first or second stitch increased ?
Hi I made my first skirt from your pattern the last 2 days It was too tight It's hot here in the southwest, so I put a bathing suit on put the skirt on it took a shower to stretch it out, 11:03 now the waistband is too loose hips are fine....The waistband is too loose How can I tighten this? Oh FYI I have not finished the trim on the skirt was going to add another color to the accent color because I've got actually three or four accent colors but how can I make a like drawstring or whatnot?
So when we’re making the waistband, the length should be whatever our waist measurement is right? For example my waist is 31 inches so my waistband needs to be that length? I’m just a little confused because I know for the hip measurement across the numbers are different depending on what size you are, for example if you’re 40 inch hip size then the skirt will be 20 inches flat across. But idk if that also applies to the waistband too
Yes, the waistband would be the length of your waist. The increasing you do on the odd rows makes the hip size of the skirt bigger (if that makes sense?). So you'd do 31 inches for the waistband, and increase on however many odd rows you need to get the hip size. Make sure that you try on the waistband as you're going through to make sure it will fit, I like to close it together with some stitch markers and pull it up past my legs to make sure it isn't too small for my hips.
@@rachayelleThank God for your comment. I was about to start de main body of the skirt but I read this and realised that my waistband is not wide enough to pass my hips 😭
Hi!! I have a question,, so when you do the chain one around the skirt after you made the waistband, do you put it into every stitch around, or like into all of the kinda bigger holes that are made? Hopefully that makes sense? Thank you so much!!!!
every stitch around :) make sure you measure every once in a while so you know the skirt will fit. (would hate to frog the rows if it gets too big or is too small )
make the waist band according to your waist measurement and stretches to your hip measurements, the body of the skirt should have increases until it is your hip measurement
finished my skirt today thank you for this tutorial!

Yes so beautiful and great tutorial!!! Im a beggiber here and im not too scare tp try this 😅 thanks for sharing 💕
I need a written pattern 😭😭
So I understand you only inc in every other row, but the 2nd row that gets the inc (3rd row overall) which stitch do you put the inc in? The first or second stitch increased ?
Do you chain two and turn after each row or do you slipstitch, chain two and keep goung
@@donnalewis6125 I keep going. You can chain 2 and then turn your work if you want
I’m curious why do we have to slip stitch and chain 2? what the difference between doing that and not doing it?
keeps the rows neat and easy for you to see where the row ends
Thank you
Are we increasing a single stitch or the whole row?
Do u increase in each row or do u increase in one and skip one
increase and skip one row
So the increase is on a single stitch not an entire round?

@@yuu_zuu Haha I’ve definitely been there! It’s always good to check your work as you’re going. I hope it comes out good for you!
hello! when do i stop increasing?
when the skirt is wide enough for your hips :) measure every 2-3 rows and once its wide enough, stop increasing
Hi! DC are very stretchy... I was wondering if when you put this on it becomes see through?
no
not see through but can be if youre standing in front of a bright light
if that makes sense

Hi💖.That was great👏⭐. How to knit according to body measurements larger than this
make the waist band according to your waist measurement and stretches to your hip measurements, the body of the skirt should have increases until it is your hip measurement
@@kutiecrochet okay i gotcha🌹thanks a lot
hey, how did u connect the waistband before u started the double crochets? I did a half crochet to gonna them but it looks kinda chunky. Thanks
You would usually use slip stitch crochet.
i love you
