I have been waiting to use my xp15000 for two years and couldn't find a conversion. I have regular ink in now can I still convert? Can you include the parts and software needed to purchase for the Epson xp15000?
Hi, great video... could you tell me which is the better printer to us this or the L1800, also could you send a list of the rips/software and ink etc please, and last but not least how do I prevent the white from solidifying if am going on holiday?
Hi, you mentioned that the white ink was not printing at all. I am suffering the same issue, and I have also dropped DTF liquid into the printhead to try and fix it, but it has still not been fixed. You say you left it soaking for 20 minutes? Does that mean you dropped the liquid into the printhead and let it stay like that for 20 minutes? So far I've been dabbing it with DTF cleaning liquid, swabbing, and then proceeding. If that doesn't work, what else would you suggest? Thank you.
Hi! I set up all the instructions in this video and I've downloaded the Rip Software, but the software is very confusing. How do I get that white underbase? What settings should I have? The "Set Ink Order" is grayed out, do you know how to fix that so I can tell the printer my Red and Gray cartridges are now White? As it is, I am printing out the pictures, but it does not have that white underbase and is very difficult to heat press into the items, usually ending up half-pressed or such. Colors loook great though. Would love the help. Thank you!
Good video~ I have a question about the part to remove the pizza wheel. On the screen, the parts connected to the gear on the right part (the pizza wheel connected) and the wire spring connected to the part connected to the right gear are connected to each other. How do I separate this part?
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Removing the tray appears ideal, but my concern is stability with large prints. Wouldn't you need some sort of a platen/vacuum table to prevent ink-streaks? Common issues with L805 & L1800 where streaking appears at the end of the print, 1-3 inches from the edge.
Yes, a platen won't hurt, however I have not personally had any problems with this printer either because of the shape of the tray or the film thickness that I've used. If this becomes a problem, even a piece of cardboard will do the trick.

Also, since filming this have you noticed more clogging versus other printers (like the L1800) due to the sponge vs spring cartridges? As that seems to be what everyone is saying is bad about using this printer.
Have not really had the time to do much with this printer. Clogging seems fine still. Currently focusing on launching our own branded printer with all the bells and whistles.
@@dtfprintingtechnology9457 any updates?
Would this be better then the L1800?
No
Hi, my epson xp15000 printer isn't recognizing white ink. Could you please help me with any recommendations?
There is no ink recognition system in place. Your printer can't tell what liquid you put in it. I don't know what you mean by not recognising white ink.
@@dtfprintingtechnology9457mine won't print white what so ever!! If I select the image and select white underbase for color it still won't recognize it
Have you encountered any clogs with the white channels and how would you power-flush those channels like you would on a regular manifold/cartridge design?
Yes, I have after 1 month of inactivity white channels got completely clogged up and I was able to revive them by soaking them in cleaning solution. Power flush is difficult. I have not figured out a way to do that yet.
@@dtfprintingtechnology9457 I have wondered if maybe could pressurize a cartridge with cleaner using a syringe? I guess I'll never know because I sold the printer because Cadlink doesn't support it. Not buying more software!!
It was going to be an addition to my R1400...
@@dtfprintingtechnology9457 Wouldn't it be impossible to power flush since the cartridges contain foam filters? You would only be able to flush dampers if im not mistaken and even the cis systems for this printer use foam in the cartridges.
@@TheXboxSux Pretty much, yes. You'd need some sort of custom attachemnt for the flushing.
Ok you say that it doesnt accept film or transparencies while you are printing on film. I cant get this printer to recognize film at all in anyway. It just pushes it straight through and says "Out of paper" any info on this would be fantastic. Im using EKrip

I think I have watched every video. Program is not working with my printer. Any subjection would be much appreciated. I already had my printer running the chipless firm ware. It is a epson xp15000.. Thinking of going this route I have a white toner printer and the cost of paper A+B is just insane in price my question is how hard is the mantience for this I run a small t shirt buisness so I might not print for like 5 days
5 days is fine. Anything over a week is pushing it. You can just run a quick head clean every 3 days or so to prevent clogging. White toner is just trash in general for t-shirts. Customers kept on returning their orders because they would not even survive a couple of washes. DTF or DTG is the way to go.
Can someone please tell what paper i need to choose in the printer preferences that will allow this printer to see an A3 DTF transfer? It keeps saying paper jammed inside the printer no matter what A3 transfer i put in from any company. It feeds in fine, the print head goes to the middle and then returns and docks as though its not seeing the paper. Any help would be great. Im using acro 10 btw
add a strip of tape across the back of the paper's top edge
Hi, is it possible to convert pigment to dtf?, I have epson L120..thanks
Where do you plan on putting the white ink if you only have 4 colours? L120 is not going to work.

@@dtfprintingtechnology9457 Hello friend, my question is with the acrorip if I placed the l1390 the ink channel order is YKWWMC and in this printer it does not have that order I see that you place the two whites cyan and then the rest but if you adjust the color order does not match
@@Ajfebles It's because I'm using EKprint and it allows you to select any order you like in software. If you are converting L1390 with acrorip 9 you will need to make sure your ink order is correct YKWWMC

Yes it is but be prepapred to troubleshhot chipless firmware and film feeding issues. Those are common problems people experience with this printer.
What kind of ink is used? Do you used what comes with the printer?
You need special nanodroplet DTF ink.
Do I see 2 white cartridges?
Yes
Can I still print normal photos on paper ( glossy or matte) after this process??
Yes but they won't be as good because you sacrifised 2 colours to white.
Hi, I converted my 15000, however I cannot get the printer to acknowledge that there is paper in the printer. What settings do you use (or what paper) do you select from the paper menu on the printer?
I can't remember what I did but I had to chose the back paper feed option in the printer menu settings. I remember it being confusing too.
Did you figure this out? Please help!! It keeps going from the cassette but it’s nothing there. Help if possible thanks
With only two whites how does it do on a black T-shirt is it very opaque thank you in advance
You can see how the white turns out on this video. DTF transfers are never 100% opaque however. Even DTG often uses 2 coats of white for best results.
Im trying to get the printer to work. Unfortunately without success. the print looks weird. as if my dtf ink would run and lots of small holes in the white. did you have the same problem?
Seems like either you are printing on the wrong side of the film or there is some sort of film defect.
@@dtfprintingtechnology9457 unfortunately not, the film works without problems in my Epson 1500w.
@@AE-uj7qc Try printing a different design. This could be rip software not printing semi transparent elements properly or messing up the choke. Also, keep an eye on the printer while it's printing. Maybe you can spot some sort of mechanical issue.
@@dtfprintingtechnology9457 There are no mechanical problems either, it just prints a horribly bad image as normal. I must have put 50 dtf film through the printer with the most varied of designs and settings. It worked best when I set 90 nozzels, but then it was still extremely bad.
Do you have to use DTF Powder?
You can use pretreatment instead of powder but then you might as well go with DTG because all you are doing is overcomplicating DTG printing to achieve worse results.
@@dtfprintingtechnology9457 so powder is the way to go?

@@dtfprintingtechnology9457 I have another question. Since you are changing the Red and Gray ink, with the white, what happens when there is Red and/or Gray in the design? How do you get the printer to blend the other colors to make the Red and Gray? Also, how do you apply the white, to the back of the design?
@@aeentertainment5149 Most printers only CMYK and make all the colours by mixing those. Your monitor only has green, red and blue yet it can display millions of colours. your ink that i bought from your website this nanodroplet is not working at all i did everything correctly but ink didn't print at all at dtf sheets and even on white paper is blank all the time when i go to original ink epson printer working perfectly
Of course it's not going to print. You were just in touch with us saying you loaded up epson ink first and then added DTF ink without cleaning the old ink out first. You can't mix 2 different types of ink. Solven, sublimation, water based inks etc. should not be mixed.
So basically I’ll just fill the empty ink cartridges with ink, and remove the print head. That’s it?
Epson has high capacity ink cartridges. Why not use empty high capacity genuine cartridges?.
Use whatever cartridges or CISS you like
what size of this printer?
A3+
Overall it sounds like the negatives of needing newer RIP software, CIS, customizing of the paper feed and ink waste tank might offset the savings of this printer vs a more expensive model. What's your opinion?
I only bought this printer for testing. Never really considered it for long term printing because of the reasons you mentioned. I know a few people who have been using it for a while and are still happy with performance but I'd personally stick to older models.
@@dtfprintingtechnology9457 yeah I watched another video of someone who has been using it as a daily driver for dtf and got all my answers. No one in their right mind should use this thing for any size production run in a serious business. It's way too finicky and prone to failure.

Did you unplug the little rubber plugs on the cartridges?
Couldn't you just keep topping off the cartridges and never let them run out to avoid having to replace them?
If you upgrade to chipless firmware you can. Otherwise printer will count how much ink it used and will ask you to replace the cartridges. Cartridges themselves don't measure ink levels. Printers calculates it based on how much you printed.
