    Here’s a tip for the day
    The tip is never to put stuff behind your house , cuz at some point you will need to get that house to being upgraded.
    But that’s why that you really need to not to put stuff behind it.
    Cuz it always pays off to be more strategic about where to put stuff.

    • @renaudnadeau
      @renaudnadeau  9 месяцев назад

      While I agree that strategic placement is good for the day to day use of the workshop. You can move everything around at anytime in builder mode with the toolkit or by visiting Construction Junction.

    I have yet to find the dew collectors particularly profitable so while I have them I prefer to buy water from the farming store behind Behind The Stairs. As for stamina I always stock up on Soy Sauce and Sandberries from Behind The Stairs + the Blue Moon Saloon to dry out some Sandacuda
    All these are very good tips, nice video!

    • @renaudnadeau
      @renaudnadeau  Год назад

      Thanks! I actually have a video coming out soon that addresses how dried sandcuda is the best food for restoring stamina in the game.

    • @Designer239
      @Designer239 9 месяцев назад

      Um there’s a down flaw to that cuz um , to find the dew collectors you really need to give the data disc to Qi.
      And he will show you everything that he has that you’ll be needing.
      But it’s never best to just buy the water , cuz you can just make it for yourself.
      But if you wanna dry out some Sandacudas , you really shouldn’t be giving those fish to the Blue Moon.
      Cuz it’s more wiser to just dry them for your own self , cuz your a dang builder right then just make yourself a drying rack.
      And just dry them on there.
      But it’s never best to just stock up on Soy Sauce , cuz you can just go to the Blue Moon to feed yourself.
      Cuz that’s what im doing btw.
      But those tips that you have are not very good tips at all.

    A good way to get a bit of stamina in the beginning is eating the meal in the blue moon that is on sale that day. (the special) you can eat twice and you get an easy 150 to 200 SP that way. depending on what is for sale. And for realtively cheap.

    • @renaudnadeau
      @renaudnadeau  5 месяцев назад

      Def a good way if you don't have another way to get back stamina early on.

    I personally buy soy sauce from By the Stairs and Owen's everyday and capture tons of Sandacuda to put them on drying racks , the bait for sandacudas are sandberries

    • @renaudnadeau
      @renaudnadeau  Год назад

      If you don't mind. How much can you produce in a day? I know sandberries tend to be limited. I am starting to work on a video going more in depth with the foods and wouldn't mind the help and willing to give you a shout-out in the video.

      @@renaudnadeau In the early game, I didn't know about the dried sandacuda until way later into the mid-game, by then i didn't mind buying out all stocks of soy sauce from both shops, but if i want to mine a specific ore like say iron, i would get about up to 40-60 dried sandacudas before diving into the mines. Oh i also recommned refining your advanced sandfish trap (up to rare) so you can capture King Sandacudas just in case one so happens to appear.

    Another early game tip is to get the refiner as soon as you can make it. The refiner allows you to upgrade the quality of just about anything. For equipped gear it can mean early game 1-3 extra stamina, extra defense or other stat boosts by about 10 or so. For tools it can increase the strength so it means even faster harvesting from mining, scrapping, and logging. Then when it comes to work station upgrades higher quality increased production speed but rare versions of the stations can give even bigger production speed boosts, or water or fuel use reduction. The only real limit for the refiner is the type of resource needed for upgrades . Bloodstone is the material needed for most early game items and can be found from hard rock after you can create the bronze pickhammer but the extra early work can more than offset the time saved from upgrading tools, stations and equipped clothing and accessories.

    • @renaudnadeau
      @renaudnadeau  Год назад

      One downside to the early stations being refined is that when you upgrade them to the next tier, the refinement on that station gets reset. But love you bringing up the refiner as I do agree that it is 100% a very good thing to unlock as early as you can.
      I will likely make my video after the current one in production about the refiner. There is definitely a ton to talk about from that one station alone. The things you can upgrade, the benefits earned, and resources required are all very interesting.

      @@renaudnadeau I made the mistake of never even really checking to see what it was until I passed up my 3rd commission to make one. So about 2 weeks into my first character before I finally made one and I regret not doing it sooner. Though I can see how it could easily be it’s own video due to how much it can actually do. As a note since I have never looked into it and will never make a video of it but the refiner can actually be upgraded as well but I am not sure if it has any effect on bonuses or not.

    • @renaudnadeau
      @renaudnadeau  Год назад

      @@blndedbydrkness4730 while it would appear that the refiner could be upgraded by making another one. There is currently no way to upgrade them. I tested that idea a while back. I am hoping that in the end game update there becomes a way to and a benefit for it.
      I just want that drill they showed off in one of the recent videos of upcoming tech. I haven't watched the newest one that is supposed to show off some new stuff but I will likely make a video of reacting to it soon.

    That's a nice change; foraging doesn't cost stamina. That was always weird, and annoying, in Portia 😅

    • @renaudnadeau
      @renaudnadeau  11 месяцев назад

      To clarify foraging outside town for resources will still cost stamina, but there is plenty of garbage in town to clean up for free while you run quests that give free dregs and scraps for early fuel and stamina.

    I have just got to level 5 by basically doing the main and side quests and completing these quests. Also making a few storage chests to store items as I run out of inventory space. And killing a few low level monsters Shall I carry ok with just quests for a few more levels or branch off to do other things. Any help appreciated. Great video btw

    • @renaudnadeau
      @renaudnadeau  4 месяца назад

      You will be perfectly fine. Your character scales very quickly in health and damage output and the quests in the game are designed to give you time to go do other things throughout your play through.
      If you ever feel like you are behind in a specific skill tree you can always just focus on tasks that will level that skill for a while to get it to where you want it.

    I would add splitting a stack in inventory. It is not listed on the keyboard control tab in game. you hover your curser over the stack to be split in your inventory (does not work in chests) then click E. It will bring up a box that lists split, abandon, trash. When you pick Split, you can then choose how much you want. Does anyone else have keyboard tips that are not listed? I would like to know more if there is any. Good Video!
