**Updated info from the full release of My Time at Sandrock!** I still consider Dried Sandcuda to be the best food item in game for recovering stamina and now the devs have made it cheaper and easier to mass produce!!! Sandrice has replaced Sandberries for bait to catch Sandcuda. Sandrice is a crop you can grow so is much eaiser to produce in bulk over Sandberries that you previously had to gather by hand in limited quantity or buy. The addition of the Hemostat that restores 100% of stamina which can be purchased 3 at a time from any level in any of the ruins has made it so that late game food is irelivant for stamina regen. So make sure to take full advantage of dried sandcuda in the early/mid game phase.
So I guess I’ll need to make some more water collectors 😱😁 I’m about two months into game and have only made two basic water collectors but I just discovered farming and clearly need more! Anyway, thx for the info as best stamina food I’ve found early is drying meat from yakmels on the rack, and then I’ve bought a few bottles of +100 stamina pills in the Eufala ruins vending machine for bout 250 gols.
Glad to be of help! Yes early on dried sand berries and jerky are your best friends for cheap stamina recovery 😁 The new heatstroke meds are certainly OP if you can afford them though.
Sweet Potato Bake. 1 sweet potato, 1 flour, both of which can be farmed (milling the wheat in mixer), with dew collectors and animals to keep plants going its almost free stamina and only costs a little bit of time to make, but worth making in bulk.
i just skip the Food commissions, they all use ingredients(Meat, Sugar, etc) i need to make my favorite recipes, like Veggie Salad (My character has over 760 max stamina so i prefer that) But i also make Stuff like Sandberry Zongzi (Not the fine version since that uses too many ingredients i need for other stuff) And Dried Sandberry cuz why not? Every bit of stamina helps
I have an update now. I found a better food item for late-game - Elsie's Love Cake. Mid-late game. I think its a relationship side-quest. It takes flour, avocado, yakmel milk and egg to make one, each cake gives 60 base stamina. Flour, milk and egg are really easy to get with some basic farming and ranching, and the avocado trees that you can chop in the wild finally have a use.
I 100% agree it does appear to be a better food item for mid-late game, the issue I have with recommending it is that you can only access it through doing romantic quests for Elsie. So anyone not looking to marry her will never get access to it. "The recipe cannot be discovered through experimentation."
@@renaudnadeau - My character somehow ended up full romantic interest with Heidi and some with Venti. After that, gave the heart knot scarf to Elsie and got the quest, not married any character yet. I haven't seen if other characters give any recipes.
@@ahmataevo From my knowledge that means you picked the "romance" dialog choice, the one with a heart next to it, while interacting with them. There may be other ways, I will do some reserach into it.
@@renaudnadeau - It turns out a character can have multiple girlfriends/boyfriends, so long as they aren't married. I haven't seen what happens with marriage though.
@@ahmataevo in early access you couldn't propose while married to someone else. I tried. Married both Elsie (divorced her) and Nia in early access. A lot of the romance quests and just content still wasn't in the game in early access and I know they are still adding. Can't wait to find all the new stuff!
Favorite stamina recipe for me: Fruit salad. Costs nothing. Get 8 per day just for talking to my wife, Venti. Best health item: Mush. All you need is rice and salt so you can make a ton of it. Learned from Burgess. But yeah, man, you nailed it. Cooking freakin sucks in this game.
Thanks! Honestly don't believe either of those were in the game at the time I made the video but Mush sounds like a great food item for early game. How much stamina does the fruit salad give? Considering starting a new playthrough soon 😉
@@renaudnadeauIt only restores 15 BUT since it's free and Venti gives you a ton of it every day it makes it a competitive option. Since you don't have to do anything to get it but talk to her, you can just waste it. Other spouses probably have similar options. Same thing with Mush. It's even good late game cause it's SO cheap to make. Pop it out in the middle of a fight and scarf down 10 of it.
I appreciate you taking the time to make the video, kinda funny that ACT 3 added/changed enough stuff that it already needs an update. I'm still trying to figure out if the upgraded heatstroke meds can be crafted or only found in the ruins now. Making blender items that refills 100% of stamina would be handy, although you can just buy it now...
@@heavy0244 Yeahhhhh. I am sad that they gave us only 24 hour notice of the update finally dropping. Going to binge play through the new story content and then do updates to any of my videos that need it. Soon as I found the Heatstroke meds, I was like "WHAT IS THIS OP STUFF?" now even less reason for cooking for stamina since 1k for ~600 stamina late game is about as good a deal for the best foods and you can buy 3 anytime you enter a ruin... Appreciate the comment though. Currently working on new video ideas so if there is anything you might want some in depth info about please feel free to let me know!
