These giants sometimes invade farming villages to raid those crops in the area. Some Farming villagers are full of uneducated individuals who often set up such things to keep animals away from their crops. Even when they are advised and taught to avoid all kinds of traps that hard animals, they still engage in setting them up to keep those animals away. A group of wildlife officers saved this elephant after being spotted by the locals in the area. Watch the full footage to see how they managed to be successful in this operation.

Susan Flowers The incident happened in Kerala . Kerala is well known for its culture and diversity. Its known as Gods Own Country . Kerala is a Southern state in India. A Pregnant elephant being brutally killed by a group of people in Malappuram District. They had given jackfruit filled with explosives to kill the poor animal without any mercy.She was badly injured and she died shortly thereafter. Can you imagine how much pain she had suffered with a baby in her stomach😭😭

@@noelatieh He must have cut the wire otherwise all they did would have been for nothing. I watched for that very thing and the guy had wire cutters. He was just off camera when he did it and then he was walking away . Why would he have wire cutters if he wasn't going to cut the wire?

@@danmyers9372 Pain killers only last so long. It's not like he will get more. Would have been nice if they could have put a tracking device on him and follow his progress.

That is horrible! Is it because the elephants raid their crops, do they eat the meat?
Here is the reason told by officials. "Punalur Divisional Forest’s Officer said the accused had stuffed pineapple pieces with explosives that are meant for wild boars and deer. “But it happened that the elephant accidentally bit into it and injured itself.”

He's a young juvenile elephant. Long way from being a giant, but could not have made to adulthood without this help with his foot injury. He would've lost his foot and died of sepsis in no time without this treatment. Thank you.
