I wish I had enough power to make a format. I’d make a format where mons get new abilities and moves and certain moves/abilities get buffs or nerfs. Although I’d definitely make it a rule you have to use a rebalanced mon
There are actually a lot of Tiers like this! Some Draft Leagues even run off of the leaders of it's ruling and change around abilties or stats on mons, it's super fun! I'm sure you could do something like that yourself with some research :)
Most Other Metagames typically start as an "Uber Based" tier unless further specified, obviously broken ones are quickly banned, and lower the general powerlevel to be something around UUbers and Ubers. The variations of OM's (Other Metagames) tend to make these Uber mons considerably less powerful, for example running Frosmoth is good cause it gives everyone Ice Scales, but running Palkia or something, ehhh, you don't really wanna give everyone Pressure. It's kind of a case by case basis, but a general idea is that most tiers make legendaries stay their general power level, and lower tier mons, OU-NU typically, rise as they find new niches, like in the case of Frosmoth. Hope this was a good explanation of it :)

Very true, if I had to guess the councils choice for not originally banning Mewtwo was simply due to this, all the Legends they did ban typically held a powerful ability to go alongside them that really contributed to their niches in teams
I think you mixed up Triple Axel and Icicle Spear. iirc Triple Axel isn't affected by Skill Link, because the only reason it won't hit all 3 times is accuracy, which is rolled on each hit. Icicle Spear only needs to roll for hit once, and then rolls for how many hits (2-5 normally, always set to 5 with SL) independently.
Nope, it actually does affect Triple Axel, the way it works is that it only does the first accuracy check, meaning that if you manage to hit the first hit, you are guaranteed to hit all three attacks.
I appreciate the comment, but as the other user said yeah Triple Axel is affected by Skill Link, it's sorta an odd interaction as it's also effected by technician despite the last hit hitting for more than 60BP if I remember, but it is affected by both of these abilities :)
am i wrong is triple axel not effected by skill link, the same way population bomb isnt? it isnt a multi hit move like bullet seed or pin missile as every individual hit is an accuracy check

On Pokemon Showdown their should be a category to the right of "S/V Singles" that's called "Other Metagames" either open or closed either way, inside will have Shared Power. Hopefully this helps :)

True, but on the other hand Gliscor with Guts + Poison Heal + Toxic Boost + Pixilate (Facade) + Windrider under Tailwind. Offensive sets are crazy crazy too lol
Well true, but to get Pixilate you need Sylveon who can beat Archaludon fairly well with some good play, and there are plenty of good sets like that one, that was just one I'd saw on the forums I think
@underthedice1231 Well Hyper Voice can still hit hard, Tera can help it defensively but it's good SpD typically helps it since weather teams tend to be banned in most OMs, but that was just an example, there are better counters to Archaludon than just Sylveon, who can win but also doesn't like Fighting Assault vest sets, I was just trying to make a quick example since I'm in school
I think making other gamemodes to increase a players enjoyment of a core gameplay is a fine thing. Players enjoy one game, they enjoy it's core, and these OM's really help things stay interesting and new whenever waiting for newer DLC's or Games to drop
You mixed up Fluffy and Fur Coat, fur coat is the equivalent of ice scales. Fluffy is ignored by non-contact moves.

not usually, fire moves are somewhat uncommon and most fluffy teams bring the nightmare being known as heatran to the table

The last hit is exactly 60. It goes 20, 40 and 60.

I genuinely think Pokemon players need to play other games if they are so bored with standard Pokemon that they make up random game modes like this.
