We used these to fry up, they are good deep frying because they are more dense than regular bananas and don't break up when heated. I have a friend in Southern California who have a bunch of them in his back yard. He gave me a few pups, but could not them to survive the winter time here in Arizona.
That banana looks real good. I'm going to be on the look out for that variety.
bud row We have these available.
Hello from Melbourne, FL. I planted a Hua Moa in my property and it went crazy. It has 10 pups around the mother-plant and it has not produced yet. Can't wait for that flower to pop up.
Hello, are you willing to sell one or two pups? I'm two and a half hours from you. (Broward county fla.)
@@stephanies9071 Hi Stephanie, unfortunately, they are still small (less than 12 inches tall) and I can't split them off just yet. I want to first make sure the banana tree is what I bought, so I need to see a bunch out before I start selling them off.
@@MasterKenfucius no problem, just let me know when you can.🙂
@@stephanies9071 Keep an eye on my Etsy shop... I might start selling banana pups there one of these days! www.etsy.com/shop/UncleKensFarm
@@MasterKenfucius will do.🙂
Thanks! I have one and was getting ready to sell it. I think I'll keep it now lol
Thanks for the review. Tonight I read that hua moa and popoulu are thought to be the same variety.
Thanks guys
I'm in St Pete and would love to buy some plants from you guys
I sell via porch pickup 7 days a week and will be at the MRFC annual sale Saturday www.mrfc.org/p/fruit-tree-sale.html?m=1
Would u sell pups of these varieties you've been tasting
OakStreet Orchard We do sell pups. Local pickup is best. It’s a lot of work to prep and ship them, so the price is much higher when we have to ship.
@@SulcataGrove where are u located and what's your price for shipping
OakStreet Orchard We are in Sarasota. We charge a lot to ship. For this common variety, it may be best to purchase from Going Bananas as he ships tissue cultured plants. You can email us if you are interested in purchasing from us.
I'm in Lafayette county fl I just e-mailed
@@SulcataGrove do you have an inventory list ?

I was told this is a plantain
Hua Moa is not a true plantain. It’s considered a cooking banana.
Are you sell bud?
We sell plants and fruit in the USA only.
@@SulcataGrove my friend is stayed in usa
@@prachyakanchana1895 We have availability lists on our website.

Sorry it didn’t paste the first time.
Not properly ripened, for sweet/out-of-hand eating it should be treated as an ice cream banana and allowed to go black....
Alejandro Guerra Blue java/ice cream breaks down way too much when black/over ripe, for us. I do like the Hua Moas a bit more ripe than this one when eating out of hand. The Maoli/Popoulu bananas are my favorite to use in baking. Makes the best banana bread.
@@SulcataGrove ah, I guess the textures might not be for everyone but the flavor really develops later for sure with Hua Moa. It's still good to see a high rating in comparison to store bought bananas!
