I’m dealing with pirformis syndrome (and various lumbar issues - after reading my MRI and CT, my doctor said there’s a party going on!). Sitting was been very painful. It all started after the lockdown. I started with chiropractic and trigger point acupuncture and was later approved for PT. I also see a massage therapist for bodywork. My spine is much stronger and most days I’m able to sit comfortably.
It's great to hear that you're feeling better most days J M!!! Especially that sitting is more comfortable, that can be so annoying and frustrating when you cannot get comfortable. We hope you're able to get 100% better and back to normal!
Got a bit of this from the nerve being crushed along with the knee caps. The caps crushed the structures underneath which swelled up for many weeks. Had to build up the muscles again with help of a physio. Some muscle medial to the patella got crushed as well which is where most of the pain is 2 months later. Getting there, but my knees have grumpy faces now
@@ronfox5519 It is considering I recently had MRI of one knee and found out I have partial thickness cartilage tear but I can walk, it's just painful bending the knee. Physios charged me a lot to get me to do all the wrong exercises
@@ronfox5519 It's not a well regulated profession in NZ and the doctors in the south island refer to them for diagnosis because they don't wan't to order scans. I'm quite a mess from injuries I haven't been able to get patched up here and they are common injuries except for the venipuncture one done deliberately
You are a 1 in a million Sir ! I'm accident prone and had a Bad fall on cement 😢. I've had a painful butt ever since . I wish I had you as my Chiropractor. This happened about 4 months ago.. I can't afford to see a Chiropractor. Any ideas 😢?
Hey Atia! The reason for pain that goes down the back of the thigh, hip and ankle is because the sciatic nerve travels through those areas. The nerve can be compressed by the piriformis muscle which leads to pain in those areas.
Hey there, this can be a sign of a problem that actually starts in your back (even before the sciatic nerve is formed). You can have nerve root impingement in your lower back that can cause pain anywhere in your hips, legs, groin, etc. For this type of issue, we have a great playlist available in case you are interested in learning more. Here is a link: “Lumbar Spinal Stenosis Help” ruclips.net/p/PLJVIPiFvv1mYxifSEM8bNacVpyTmc3_Ys We also have an outstanding program to boost the health of your lower back in case you would be interested in looking into that. Here is a link with more information: The 28 Day Back Health & Wellness Boost Program is designed to help people have the best chance of avoiding unnecessary surgery, injections, or having to rely on pain medications. This course guides people through exercises and stretches that target key body parts that have the greatest potential to prevent back conditions like sciatica, herniated disc, spinal stenosis, arthritis and other back problems. Wow. That sounds rough. Knee pain is such a hindrance, having 2 busted knee caps has got to be an all day struggle.

Excellent information! Thank you!
You're welcome Stephanie!!!
Does PS also cause groin pain and muscles to cramp in my stomach (not abdominal)area?
can the symptoms of piriformis syndrome be caused by arthritis in the hip? And if so, will your exercises help?
Can you explain the reason behind pain in hip back thigh knee and ankle at the same time?

@@epmanualphysicaltherapy thank you very much

Sir what is your take on stem wave therapy for the knees.
And what about severe groin pain at the same time as the buttock pain. I thought that this was what defined piriforms.?

Do you approve of the stretch apparatus that you're strapped in and pumped up by yourself
