My parents were born in the 1920s, I was born when they were older (in their 40s). I grew up watching all the classics musicals on late night and weekend tv. My dad had a good voice, and my mom loved all the Jeanette McDonald/nelson Eddy musicals so I heard their songs all the time. Watching this brings them back and makes me happy
Magnificent singing......... these 2 will never be repeated.......outstanding........and they loved each other so much, and does it ever show on the screen........may they rest in peace...!!!!!!..
My mother, who was born in 1923, used to tell the story of how Nelson Eddy once came to sing at the Shamokin, PA. opera house. Afterward, he attended a party in a house on Danville, PA's Market Street. She was only a young teen and was not invited to the party. But her parents attended. And my mother used to say, when Nelson Eddy came to town, all the women folk in town were "all-a-twitter."

I'm a soprano and I love singing this song with Jeanette. It's one of my favorite songs. It's so beautiful..
He once said she looked like an angel in her gowns and wigs. ❤❤❤he fell hard for her and her for him. I love to see this.
Their love on and off screen is like a beautiful day of sunshine
Their chemistry was without a doubt beyond belief the reason for that they both loved each other you can't get any better than that

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL Jeannette mc Donald what a powerful voice rest in peace god bless you amen 🌠🌈 ☀️🌼💙🐦🌷🌈☀️🌠🌟
O that voice absolutely beautiful 😍❤️😘how she holds those notes absolutely beautiful, rest in peace Jeannette,
What gets me about this song is that Jeanette McDonald's very first note is almost indistinguishable from the violin accompanying her. Amazing!
Never again will we hear voices like these two.
