This is terrible advice! Ammonia is corrosive, and will deteriorate your screens prematurely. The best way is to use car wash soap with wax in it. This will clean the dirt, while helping to prolong the life of your screens.
This Brit needs to go back to the other side of the pond. No need for his advice. 🙄 Use a damp microfiber cloth, and wipe the screen clean, while it's still in the window, and you're done! Literally takes 1 minute to do one screen!
Step 1: Remove all screens Step 2: Let bugs in to infect your domicile for the rest of your life, no matter how many times you fumigate, and defeating the whole purpose of screens. Step 3: Profit!
easy than you think, but it takes practice. 1st b-4 removing mark where the screen begins to easily pull away from the 'metal slide frame' (bright nail polish; a dab will do). Next dab the nail polish on the side of the Screen for two reasons: 1 you know that the marked screen faces outward. 2. Match up as best as possible the nail polish dots. Slide under famed, push up and the base or bottom rollers will set on the inside lip.3. Extra as I do. Spray bottle white vinegar plus cooking oil, Shake, spray the metal runner lips. The vinegar drys and the screens slide easy. Utube has videos on this basic procedure. If I can do it anyone can do it! Bruce @ 80. Baja CA Mx.

Use scissors to cut the screen out. Then tape the screens back in after they have been cleaned.
