And I think that more people are now realising that it was even better and more complex than we thought, because it's also a powerful character drama, both with Malcolm and his wife as well as with Cole and his mum. "I see dead people" - and I can hear them too. It's not something I ever imagined I would ever be able to do. But sometimes "life" throws things at you where things 'turn on a dime' and suddenly you are thrust into another dimension of life experience. So, yes, even though I've enjoyed a wonderful life in general - lots of travel, working for great companies - I also have dipped my toe into the 'psychic' world. Where 'life' actually is quite beautiful. "Death" is really just a step into another room, that is also another dimension. A place we've all been to many times before, and will travel to again, and again. Where those we love await us. A place that will feel very comfortable to everyone, when we leave our body.

Great reaction. I like the setting of the ghost looking over the shoulder of Lia, very suiting for this movie.
I also like how Ellie avoids spoiling anything for her friends. At some point, she is even biting het lips to stay quiet.
One thing that surprises me is very common among multiple reactors, is the scene before Bruce Willies starts seeing the kid, there is a sign on the screen that says something like "5 years later" and so many reactors assume that is the guy from the beginning, and they are looking into the past. I assume they are still recovering from the shock of Bruce Willie's character being shot and concentrating on their own thoughts instead of watching what is happening in the movie.
Great reaction from the four of you!
(I'm including the ghost looking over Lia's shoulder, lol! 👻)

I had a job where it was for me to walk where ever I wanted to in a child's world. You have never felt the experience of having a child who plays with their own poop to keep adults away from them and ruins things inside the home purposely due to physical and sexual abuse of her past. That moment when they walk out of the line of their fellow kindergarteners to grab hold of your hand and walk with you instead of alone or when they really open up and tell you all that is on their mind... It is amazing. I remember the foster mother immediately taking both of her girls out of the school for a new placement based on what I had already told her of my observations and when I explained what one of the foster girls had said she had no doubt that both would be in a new school next week.
I can remember a second one in a completely different setting who had all the same past except she hadn't played with her own poop to keep adults away from her. I had seen her in all environments, but when she saw me at her church (just happened to go to the same one) she ran straight to me to give me a hug. She must have thought I was like some sort of guardian angel when she saw me a this sixth location too. I'll never forget when I walked into her kindergarten classroom while they were taking naps on mats and she just looked at all her peers as if she knew I was there for her and her only. Later during a playtime she asked me why I was trying to make her do certain things and I stated, "Because I am trying to help you make friends." Immediately this other girl said, "I want to be her friend." At the next visit to her house her foster mother stated she had a sleep over set up with her friend in school when she admitted to her foster mother it was her very first friend.

In M Night shamaylan movies always look for a color out of place! The red doorknob, the balloon, the mom's red clothes and lipstick! All M Night Shamaylan movies should be watched! This movie always freaked me out. When I was a kid we lived in Hawaii. We were in a small town on Oahu called Temple Valley. We lived in the townhouses next to a cemetery called Valley Of The Temples. You can google the area and see the cemetery. Its actually pretty cool looking. You'll also probably see fruit on graves. Hawaiians believe you will anger the spirits if you dont leave food. Anyway, there were some VERY scary and disturbing things that happened in those townhouses. Hawaii is beautiful but there is some weird shit there. I was scarred for life! (lol)
