- JustPlanes in the cockpit of the AER LINGUS Airbus A320 as the crew prepares to fly us back from Lisbon to Dublin.
The complete cockpit film its nearly 5 hours and available in our Download Store.
After the release of the very popular Airbus A330 film to San Francisco Just Planes is delighted to return to Aer Lingus for a new program featuring the Airbus A320 on European routes. The airline not only provides us and you the viewer with a fantastic crew but they assigned both "Green Spirit" aircraft to be part of the program!
Because our crew goes into so many very interesting details on each of the flights this new program runs nearly 5 hours long but you will learn a lot from these pilots. Our Captain has 20 years with Aer Lingus while our First Officer is a more recent hire you can see how excited she is to be working for her Irish airline.
The flight to Lisbon is interesting in that it involves some Oceanic flying while the flight to Nice always ends up with a beautiful approach into the Cote d'Azur.

Always something about Aer Lingus flight crews that's simply a joy to watch.
They have certainly been a pleasure to work with! Lovely airline!

Haha , very Irish , "turn on the machine" and don't forget the yoke ! Irishman in Paris . Great teamwork !
An airline I will fly for in the next few years hopefully! Really good pilots!
Good luck!
Lisbon view from the air is magnificent and beautiful
2 very nice pilots! Great teamwork!
The calm professionalism is wonderful to watch.
Aer Lingus and KLM my two favs right now. Friendly cabin crews, good service.
Excellent pilots always
Wonderful teamwork.
Very nice video and the view from inside the cabin is amazing also watching and listening the pilots see their interaction is great thank you for sharing the video
Thanks very much Jose!
good job Aer Lingus 's crew...good souvenirs flying with you to visit Ireland !:)
Pleasure to watch...
Love aer Lingus hopefully in a couple of years, I'll be where she is
Brilliant stuff!
Lmao, "Pressure is for tires!"
Brilliant!

Very nice video and very nice announcement in the aircraft
Thank you Fauzia!

Nice vid, great crew!
my dear lisboa! great team of pilots! great airline! thank you!
Well done 👍 great job✈️
Fabulous
Nice video !
I love Irish Lady Pilots...
Captain hugh grant
shay Rose I thought captain pierce brosnan?
Can't you set the thrust levers to Man Flex after SRS has turned to NAV on the FMA, to avoid at least some engine wear?
8:06 American Airlines👍🏼🇺🇸
I understand their accent more than British accent
@Moonshine Buck what do you mean
@@j.o.1516 very well said! that comment you responded to seems all to common these days!
Nice video. Just a side note: De-rate and flex are NOT the same thing. De-rate is a lower MAX thrust. Something typical on Boeing aircraft. FLEX has the same MAX thrust but because of the assumed temperature used, a lower power setting is used.
TOGA 🚀
Toga on Lisbon's runway!!!
Dalm they must be heavy
Both heavy plus an intersection take-off so reduced runway length available.
@@johndean4998 I see your point
@@johndean4998 when we last took off from Lisbon we were in FLX 65 so big difference
@@taysidedelta4725 See the crew's discussion of their unusual take-off performance circumstances after 1:12 and particularly after 1:59, it's nice to see the captain's spontaneous reaction to what the take-off calculations produce.
@@johndean4998 yeh aha
Don’t tell me the co-pilot’s first name is Connie
I love seeing female pilots.... Great work on the departure too.... great callsign Aer lingus... #Shamrock...#A320

Lovely toasted that bread
Nice video. But I cant understand why the captain didn't use actual ambient conditions for take off performance. It would have allowed a flex take off with the stronger headwind. The performance has a safety net built in as it is
Very late to this one but I have a question. Is it not 'best practice' to keep your hand on the thrust levers during takeoff? I've see the pilot flying do it, I've seen the pilot monitoring do it, and I've seen both crew members do it with one hand on the handle and one on the lever assembly, but this may be the first time I've seen neither crew member with their hand on the thrust after V1.
pilots take there hands off the thrust levers after v1. After V1 a pilot can NOT stop the aircraft hence no reason to keep hands on the throttle. But before the hands are on the levers incase of a emergency or rejected take off.
09:43 the Cathedral Estádio da Luz :)
Can somebody please explain to me why, at 2:55, the V1 speed is calculated at 140 knots for a takeoff run of 3805m, whilst the V1 calculated speed for the intersection departure at 2410m, is LOWER than the aforementioned calculation??? This does not make sense to me. Shouldn't the V1 be lower when there is less runway and higher when there is more runway?
I dont fly often ...but when I do I fly cuna-lingus .
Radar ON at the stand ???
Is the landing in Dublin recorded?
Yes, on the full dvd
Thanks but what I should have said was will it be shown on this channel?
Which T/O performance Calculator do they use? Is it free available?
lol They use their Company provided EFB of course its not. You cant buy them either.
What App is he using to fly the plane with his IPad?
k9feces It’s not an app. It’s a software program that is put on their to act as an inflight helper. Also, they don’t fly the plane with the iPad, the software rather helps them keep track of things.
Minecraft
Call of Duty
The captain looks like Paul McCartney!
I noticed they say "checks" instead of "checked"
Nice looking lady with a very sweet voice , hopefully she will be left seat before too long so it will be her time to shine
Calm down , when she earns it she will get it, you are clearly a quota filler. Stop trying to be politically correct. Must be a liberal American .

Since I also love computers, does anyone know what model of Microsoft Surface tablet that is?
It's Apple iPad !
Normand Lepine OK, I thought I saw the Microsoft logo. Awesome, professional pilots!
Looks like a Microsoft Surface Pro to me, that's definitely the Windows logo on the right hand side.
Just realized how boring airline flying can be, miss my PPL days
why does she only have 2 tripes?
One stripe is not normally used for airline pilots but is sometimes used for flight trainees. A flight engineer or second officer wears two stripes. A first officer, also called a co-pilot or second in command, wears three stripes. A captain, or pilot in command, wears four stripes.
@@anastasiabastian676 Perhaps it depends on companies. I started as 3 stripes and never wore 2 stripes ever on an commercial aircraft.
2 stripes are for CPL holders with a frozen ATPL having less than 1500 flight hours.
Because she's a woman
.
Hope he got paint of Guinness or 2 before flight)))
love the livery of this airline.. ok forgive me..but what is the difference between FLEX & TOGO takeoff? 2:26
TOGA is basically full power
First,
It’s great to see the cabin crew getting a chance to fly the plane
0:42 , i appreciate what you guys do . but please next time show us what the pilots are doing , and how they are doing it , i.e. turning on the fuel pumps , because some of us are trying to learn . i dont just want to see their faces lol
Airbus> Boeing
Lame, both build awesome aircraft. A310, 757, A300 and T7. Questions?
Not true

SAFETY FIRST. WHY IS HE SPENDING TIME MAKING THIS VIDEO WHEN HE SHOULD BE WORKING?
I flew AER Lingus twice in economy and it was terrible. The tv shows were terrible. The food was slop. Hopefully the company has improved their planes and food.
its so common with these low cost carriers that they have a young captain and a just graduated “co pilot”, which still has a frozen ATPL and is 2nd officer.
We can just as easily remove the 2nd “pilot” and have the captain only as a backup for a completely automatic flight (i.e. FMC doing everything except taxiing.
Its about time the cockpit is adapted to the times of today. With FMCs and LCD technology, flying demands less than 10 percent of what is was until the 80s or 90s.
who programs the FMC ? who has to make crucial decisions like flying around bad weather ? who is there in case all the automatics fail ? pilots.
AER LINGUS is hardly low cost ...
Cta2006 this guy has no idea lmao
LOL, AER LINGUS low cost?
Aer Lingus isn’t low cost get your head out from the ground !!
HA HA HA I STILL TO THIS DAY LAUGH AT THE SAME FACT THAT THE AIR LINE COMPANY DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO SPELL AIR INSTEAD THEY WRITE "AER" . Do they not know how to spell in Ireland?
