Because he's a dumbass don't listen to this. You will break your cable connectors. That's why he fast forward the most important part. I know if you take your home button off like he's showing it will break the cable. I broke mine off. And figured it out while I was guessing how to put everything together. Thanks a lot D.A.!!
I just did this, and it worked! It was really difficult to figure out the ear-piece though, but somehow I managed. The only thing that doesn´t work is the TouchID, even though I used the old button.
Yes screws are different sizes even from same bracket we found out. I like the way you line up screws with brackets - figuring screws are still different sizes. Took us a while but your video had a good system to make it easier for next time replacement. Thanks
Thank you SO much! I'm the least techy person ever...I had to keep pausing the video while I was putting mine back together but it was a huge help. So grateful you posted this!
WORKED GREAT!! Can't thank you enough for this video. One thing - I didn't organize my screws while I was taking it apart so now I have giardia so that kinda sucks, but phone is fully functional so there's that.
Really great video man! Just want to point out that, before disconnecting any connection in the phone its important that you disconnect the battery connection. It can accidentally short circuit and damage the parts. Telling from my own experience!!
Thank you so much for the video. I had never done this before. Never even broken a screen until last week. Your video was extremely helpful and made the task pretty easy, Definitely subscribing!!!
Thank you. Was around a couple of times and it didn't work...until I looked again and one "Lego" contact from the new screen was not properly in place. My old bad battery, I had to pry it out to put in a new one, some idiots send me an iPhone 6s battery instead of iPhone 6...Not compatible so I have to use the old battery a little longer. Was not really hard to do this. But my fingerprint touch won't work even I reused the original home button. Will take a look at that when I change the battery...again. Got a black iPhone with white home button too. Cool :) Thanks for the help :)
Antonio Hernandez well to answer your question you put the foam little squares in first then the ear piece on top then the camera into its hole.. Took me like 20 freakin minutes
Yep, I done did it! I have a Mujjo leather wallet case on my 6 AND a tempered glass zagg screen protector on it. Unfortunately, sense I'm in a wheelchair, and I was in my old wheelchair the phone managed to find the sweet spot and slip right off my lap when I was with a friend. landed perfectly on the corner and spider-webed the upper right corner. I'm saving some money and going to get a kit and try this. I like my 6 far to much to leave the screen shattered like it is.
Thank you so much! Your guide was SO much easier to understand than some others. Have a great new year, man! I know I will with my self-replaced screen :)
Thank you man, nice video and you seem responsive to your comments. The question is, is it the same as the one came from the factory? because i once repaired my phone in a shop and the screen isn' clear as the original one and it didn't last with me and I hated my phone.
So... I followed all steps and my phone won't turn on, no charging either, i didnt misuse the screws... itunes still recognizes the phone, what can I do ??? can u help?
I did everything the same as you did but my home button is 'loose'. If I press it on the top side, the bottom side comes up and the same the other way around. Can you tell me what I did wrong/what I can do to fix that?
Ali MTZ this is how you check, you check your mailbox everyday and be patient. simple. Next time you have a question that has nothing to do with this video, please still post it so we can kindly give you another smartass answer , sound good? OK awesome!
Just so everyone is aware. You are supposed to remove the red film on any replacement screen. Not doing so can cause undesired effects on some but not all LCD Backlights. In short, if it comes with a pull tab, you should maybe pull it. Furthermore, you can avoid using a sharp blade by purchasing the iPad opening tool, isesamo, or some shit, but I recommend just using a car dash mounts suction cup. They're always super strong, but be careful in regard to your home button ribbon cable. Keep your hands close to stop the screen. They make a tool for this, use your google fu. Good luck everyone, it's easy if you take your time and watch detailed and instructional tutorials. This videos good, aside from the lack of some professional equipment/terminology. The "metal backing" is what is known as an EMI heat shield. Oh yeah, and ice cube trays or empty bullet trays are best for the tiny screws. It'll save you if your table isn't very secure, or you happen to be clumsy. Always prepare for the worst, you're likely here since you broke your 500-800 dollar phone right?
Thank you for the tutorial, but some episodes you could have kept in regular speed. for someone who does it for the first time, this moments are important to make sure they were done correct. and if you did something, please show it after it was done. I understand you are talking while you are doing it, but its easier to see then hear. But still thank you, I was able to do most of my repair using your video
I just replaced my screen and replaced my original home button with the one that came with it (It was a screen with the digitizer already installed). However the touch id doesn't work and when i go to settings it has erased my fingerprints that were previously recorded and gives an error when trying to turn on the fingerprint option for logging on. Do you know of a fix for this? Will restoring your iphone from a backup fix it?
Sorry not sure how I can help you without being there next to you. If it gets too difficult I'd recommend bringing it to a local cell phone repair shop to have them finish it for you. Good luck.
It happened to me before, when after replacing a screen, the phone would not display anything. Just a white screen. Very upsetting. Because not knowing if I got a defective one, or messed up on putting it back together. I go through the process several times on that phone, but didn't find anything I did wrong. I later gave up and sold the phone like that
The phone I was fixing was sooo much more different it was a 6 and I was confused it didn't have the five screws and some of the things just weren't the same
Did you have any problems with the screws or screwdriver provided with the new screen? Some of the screws don't seem to want to come out with the screwdriver supplied with the new screen.
just finished replacing my cracked screen but now my phone does glitches on the screen where it fades in and out of whatever i'm looking at. could it be that the ribbon cables are pinched? help please!
I followed the instructions to a tee. Once finished, I tried to check the screen to be sure it worked and nothing came on. For sown reason the phone does nothing but vibrate every 5 seconds and it won't quit. Any idea what could've caused this and how I could fix it?
*HELP* How do I return the product? I ordered the incorrect screen repair kit. I own a iPhone 6S and I accidentally ordered the screen for the 6. Is there a way to return the screen and then apply what I already paid for it towards the product I actually need?
+Ricky Green no you need to have your original home button or buy one separately online. Isn't included because that would up the cost of the kit when a large majority of people have a working home button they can use and just need a screen
I read quite a few reviews on amazon about the screen you recommended, many people complained about the glass and screen coming apart after about a few days or weeks can you confirm this? If so, do you know of anywhere else one could get good quality screens thanks
ive gotten to the metal part... screwing the 3 screw off the left side of it.. .the middle one comes off the other two wont... i cant take the huge metal out
What can I use to hold my camera in place? When I cracked my phone the little clear piece that holds the camera in place came out. Any suggestions would really help
I did this and everything works great but the home button is unresponsive, Im positive that I clicked it in and everything so im not really sure what to do
Its supposed to be removed. I bet he kept it on so that if the part malfunctioned he would be able to send it back and get a new one. If he were to take it off he wouldn't be able to send it back. I don't see how it would effect the phone by not taking it off, but it's probably best to do so.
I wish I could send you a picture of my iphone 6 I just broke it today don't know if its fixable... the whole front practically popped off I have yellow black pink lines white... :(
home button is not working ....did everything step by step and when put everything back only home button is not working camera, call and receive calls working fine...... is it fixable .
You did not say to disconnect the battery prior to releasing LCD cables...that is important..also, you could have gone step by step instead of speeding the film with the re-assembly...the gentleman's next video is more detailed and does not speed up or lack steps with re-assembly....i find your video missing important information.
I'm thinking of starting a cell phone repair business. Do you guys recommend go to a local school where they show me hands on for 800$ or just learn from the internet. What do you recommend ?
Um why is it so fast during the most crucial part..?
lol righttttt
idk
Because he's a dumbass don't listen to this. You will break your cable connectors. That's why he fast forward the most important part. I know if you take your home button off like he's showing it will break the cable. I broke mine off. And figured it out while I was guessing how to put everything together. Thanks a lot D.A.!!
THIS GUY IS A DUMBASS, the only part I need to learn IS THE PART HE FAST FOREWORDS THROUGHHH🤬🤬
Every iphone repair video... "oh this part is easy just follow the guides." Fast forwards video so you don't see them struggle with cables.
Ive been looking for a detailed video FOR THE LONGEST and my screen comes in tomorrow now i know im going to be able to do this Thanks!!!
LoKo Ace
check out JerryRigEverything's channel, he shows step by step on how and does it slowly and perfect.
good luck my friend!
I just did this, and it worked! It was really difficult to figure out the ear-piece though, but somehow I managed. The only thing that doesn´t work is the TouchID, even though I used the old button.

Thanks man! Just installed my wife's new screen. I'll probably be back once she breaks the new one 😂
Have u came back yet?
Thank you SO much! I'm the least techy person ever...I had to keep pausing the video while I was putting mine back together but it was a huge help. So grateful you posted this!
Just a note he forgets to add the ear piece back in , other wise great video really helpful
This video came at a perfect time I just cracked my iPhone 6 screen yesterday
Ha perfect! Good luck with it!
Plz don't fast forward when you were at 5:25, cause this isn't easy even without the speed through. I liked the rest of it that really helped a bunch.
I was successful in changing my screen but the touch id does not work
+Auriana Roberts means you didn't connect the cable
TheUnlockr thank you!
rookie
George Romero 😂😂😂💀
Auriana Roberts so does this work ???
WORKED GREAT!! Can't thank you enough for this video. One thing - I didn't organize my screws while I was taking it apart so now I have giardia so that kinda sucks, but phone is fully functional so there's that.
I appreciate the help my friend. Saved a TON of money watching this.
+Scot Stoner very welcome!
Really great video man! Just want to point out that, before disconnecting any connection in the phone its important that you disconnect the battery connection. It can accidentally short circuit and damage the parts. Telling from my own experience!!
I've never done that but not a bad suggestion. Thanks!
thanks for this video
Thank you so much for the video. I had never done this before. Never even broken a screen until last week. Your video was extremely helpful and made the task pretty easy, Definitely subscribing!!!
GASexorcism wen does it come in

Thank you. Was around a couple of times and it didn't work...until I looked again and one "Lego" contact from the new screen was not properly in place.

Thanks for the help :)
Hey great video, helped me out a lot. Only thing is the touch sensitivity is now not working on the home button. Any suggestions?
why would you fast forward on the hardest part 5:12 - 5:30................
Vincent Tenaglia I had the same question... Suspicious
Antonio Hernandez well to answer your question you put the foam little squares in first then the ear piece on top then the camera into its hole.. Took me like 20 freakin minutes

Junior Johnny wen does it come in
Dude you're awesome. You just saved me money and a headache.
I bought the same replacement screen as you used, do you need to peel that plastic off the lcd first? Great video by the way so straight forward
I left the plastic on until I put the screen back on. Thanks!
Thank you man,
nice video and you seem responsive to your comments.
The question is, is it the same as the one came from the factory?
because i once repaired my phone in a shop and the screen isn' clear as the original one and it didn't last with me and I hated my phone.
Should you remove the red sticker which is on the new LCD?
Wonderful. Thank you so very much. It saved me a fortune following your clear and precise instructions.
+Tower Media UK you're very welcome!
So... I followed all steps and my phone won't turn on, no charging either, i didnt misuse the screws... itunes still recognizes the phone, what can I do ??? can u help?
I have the exact problem
hey does the white iphone screen come with all the tools
can i swap screens and home button with another iphone and will touch id still work if i do?
I did everything the same as you did but my home button is 'loose'. If I press it on the top side, the bottom side comes up and the same the other way around. Can you tell me what I did wrong/what I can do to fix that?
TheUnlocker I ordered my screen and an iPhone 6 light kit, I want to see when it will arrive but I don't know where to go to check that
Where can I check when my stuff will arrive?

I got the kit but man that's a LOT of work!
hello. the new screen you put have a red sticker. schuld i leave it on or rip it of?
Removing the touch button on my iPhone 6 Plus, it is wired into the screen plate and will not detach?
hi, i just wanted to know can you do the same repair if its not cracked and its just a black screen?
Yes
Where can I buy the new glass with the home button and other stuff already on it?
Link in the description
Do you have all the screws for the iphone 6
I have a full screen with the proximity sensor, camara and speeker if i use that will it work still
+Jason Patino yup
Pulled the metal plate off as shown and snapped a ribbon cable in half. There is a connector there that was obviously much tighter than shown here
Does the kit work for all iPhones?
hey boss I am having difficulty putting the sensor in place that's attached to the earpiece and camera help.
Sorry not sure how I can help you without being there next to you. If it gets too difficult I'd recommend bringing it to a local cell phone repair shop to have them finish it for you. Good luck.
thank you

the best video about this subject. congrats man.
did you unplug the battery?
Will the 3D touch and fingerprint sensor still work with this screen

hi! i replaced my screen by myself but now my phone won't turn on. do you know what possibly could have gone wrong?
I followed the instructions to a tee. Once finished, I tried to check the screen to be sure it worked and nothing came on. For sown reason the phone does nothing but vibrate every 5 seconds and it won't quit. Any idea what could've caused this and how I could fix it?
*HELP*
How do I return the product? I ordered the incorrect screen repair kit. I own a iPhone 6S and I accidentally ordered the screen for the 6. Is there a way to return the screen and then apply what I already paid for it towards the product I actually need?
The red piece of film should've been removed. But if it is left on does it function normally?
does the kit come with a home button?
+Ricky Green no you need to have your original home button or buy one separately online. Isn't included because that would up the cost of the kit when a large majority of people have a working home button they can use and just need a screen

No mine worked fine honestly and didn't have an issue. But if that happens I recommend just a tiny little bit of guerilla glue :)
+TheUnlockr alright thanks dude good video by the way keep it up 👍🏼

Henrik kr Solvang because you replaced the screen with no genuine parts
as soon as you replace your screen on the 6 you lose touch id
OO that sucks
What helped for me was hard resetting (home + power)
I'm wondering is the red piece of film should be removed or not?
Its supposed to be removed. I bet he kept it on so that if the part malfunctioned he would be able to send it back and get a new one. If he were to take it off he wouldn't be able to send it back. I don't see how it would effect the phone by not taking it off, but it's probably best to do so.

Hi dear, i have an ios 8.4 but i want cydia.. TheUnlockr you will make a cydia soon?
It's not up to me. It's up to the jailbreak teams. Soon as they do it though I'll do a video.
Soon? TheUnlockr
@TheUnlockr can you put a link in for just the Full front LCD to purchase because I already have the kit to change the screen
Thanks for the great tutorial, you have a great channel and thus have gained a new subscriber. :)
You did not say to disconnect the battery prior to releasing LCD cables...that is important..also, you could have gone step by step instead of speeding the film with the re-assembly...the gentleman's next video is more detailed and does not speed up or lack steps with re-assembly....i find your video missing important information.
What if I have a white screen that s cracked but want to put black screen in would it work
That works
I'm thinking of starting a cell phone repair business. Do you guys recommend go to a local school where they show me hands on for 800$ or just learn from the internet. What do you recommend ?
+Martin Jr internet. Like my videos in particular :)
thanks placed mine perfectly
Is it the same with the Iphone 6p??
+GamingWithRay 6plus.
i did this and the screw driver i got doesn't fit the screws on the back plate
