If your inventory weight seems higher than expected, select the ALL option in the inventory menu and sort by weight. The answer will appear at the top of your list. (Probably ship parts.)
I’m about 7 hours in. I’m 40 and at this age it’s really rare to get that Christmas morning feeling. Last time I had it was the release of No man’s sky, before that, was Skyrim, and now with Starfield. Couldn’t be happier with this game.
@@Ungli2.0 it has its moments where it can be annoying but all in all best thing I’ve played in awhile gives me the feel of if cyberpunk and no man’s sky had a baby
Try baldurs gate 3, it’s one amazing game, just get used to the combat system and the game becomes really good. I’m 40 too and I don’t easily get impressed, but baldurs gate 3 have me really excited.
FYI for tip number 4. You don't HAVE to go to jail to join the crimson fleet. Progress the UC side storyline and you will eventually be tasked with going undercover in the crimson fleet. The first quest to begin the crimson fleet storyline is the exact same.
Which quest line is the vanguard quest line? Bc personally I was just going to New Atlantis for a quest then got pulled over by and brought aboard the Sysdef Vigilnce for no reason🥲
It’s really fun to hear Falcon so happy and excited about a game. I literally got goosebumps buying and walking through the shield breaker today. The atmosphere and attention to detail of this game is truly unmatched.
“Unmatched” is a bit of an overstatement… I’ve def seen games that pay just as much and more attention to detail (not on this large of a scale though ofc) but I will say the game truly is amazing.
Although I REALLY tried to focus on the main story first, it’s insanely hard to stay on track when the “Activities” and side missions are so involved and lengthy. One minute I’m doing Constellation stuff, then BOOM hours later I’m a Freestar Ranger 😂
Fr i was doing the main mission and didn’t realize I was lock picking an atm and then now for the next 6 hours I’ve been doing the sideline from getting caught
Dude, same. I picked up a bounty contract to deliver some ship parts to Akila City, and since the quest had a timer I went and dropped the stuff off immediately, figuring I might as well get it over with and then continue on with the story. When arriving at Akila, I'm taken aback by the fact that it's a classic western "tombstone-ish" town, and there's a good ol bank robbery in progress. And yeh, now I'm a ranger too, lol.
I can so relate. I'm now having 90 hours on my account and still haven't began the second main quest ^^. BUT, I will start it now, I've heard that you should do it 🙂
@@MrHerrS oh man its highly highly recommended to stick to the main story at least until you clear "into the unknown" to get a taste of it at the very least. also just like falcon said i wont spoil why but.. ooh man, your only hurting ur playthrough experience not doing so, cause its awesome :P
5:27 if you go back to talk to Phil again you can pay $100 credits and get a “Top of The List” pamphlet that gives you a better chance of recruiting people to the list. It prompts more persuasion options and increases your chances of them joining. You can return to Phil to buy more of these as well. They come in packs of 5.
In regards to #10 and #8. Yes. a million times yes. Finish into the unknown before going off to explore. You will be missing out on a lot the game has to offer if you don't. And talking to the guy in the bar early does help in the long run when it comes to actually being able to finish his side quest without driving yourself nuts.
@@BogeyZerosounds like you can find people randomly along your adventures to send to him for some money. I'm at level 10 and have just recruited the one guy at the table next to him he tells you about, so I'm not sure how much you get.
For contraband I head to Wolf star and there’s a spacestation there called the den. No ship or body scans and the vendor usually has 11k in his pocket.
I've noticed that NPCs with actual dialogue that you can interact with are all named also, if you're in a busy area and your cursor hovers over someone with an actual name instead of just generic "citizen," etc, there's a good chance they're going to have something for you to do
Actually not true. Eventually you will unlock a planet with a party city called neon. A TON OF SIDEQUESTS come from word of mouth out of NPCS named Citizen.
#4: You don't need to get arrested to kick this off. There is a recruiting station. I think joining the "Legal" way means doing a few extra quests before you can infiltrate the Fleet, but it is an option.
There's literally no way to avoid this quest. It's flagged no matter what you do at some point. I randomly flew to a new system without crimes and no illegal cargo when I got "caught" and "recruited" Edit. Forgot to add, as you say, if you join the vanguard and do their missions for a bit, you get asked to help these guys the legitimate way. Dialogue is wildly different for obvious reasons.
@@ChulioRCHulio I had that on my first one and thought the same haha! But after this one I confirmed it. It's gonna happen whether you like it or not 😜
I plan on at least visiting all the unique marked locations on all the planets and completing most surveys. Also, you can hide a 2kg (mass) contraband in the first aid bag at the entrance of the ship, they don't scan that, it's technically not on your ship, free 1-2k, but it's just best to go to pirate systems to safely sell all in bulk
6:55 A good tip for this too is if you’re at least I believe within 250m from your ship, you’re able to access the cargo hold and able to deposit loot in it while you’re wandering around. Edit: You access the cargo hold by going to your menu and clicking on your ship tab, it won’t be found in the inventory tab.
Also your O2 replenishes if you are using your boost pack. Run for a bit, boost pack for a bit, rinse repeat until you run out of oxygen then walk for a bit until you can repeat the whole process. Much better than just slow walking.
Falcon, as per your instructions, I am coming back to this video to tell you how much I appreciate your tip about doing "Into the Unknown" before getting sidetracked. You the real MVP, especially for being spoiler-free while doing so. Falcon, when you're right, you're right.
First video to say that. I stopped at the 2nd/3rd mission because as soon as I could visit other planets, I just couldn't bother with the main quest but I will see what happens and come back.
No i think he meant the opposite sort of, Falcon is great at these but i think this person was referring to the other videos related to games releases that werent all that great so Falcon cant really give a very enthusiastic feedback to the game if it doesnt meet to par, does that make sense 😅
For number 4, you actually don't have to get caught. Just join the vanguard in New Atlantis and eventually you'll get the mission to infiltrate the Crimson Fleet. The easiest and quickest way to start the mission is to commit a crime and go to jail.
I went to Cydonia not even being part of anything but Constellation and a group called UC Sysdef told me I was wanted or something so i stood down. Then the general or whatever told me that I have to join to infiltrate the Crimson Fleet. Otherwise he would arrest me. Made me mad that they forced me so I joined the Crimson Fleet out of spite lol.
😂 I got caught first , killed my way off the Jail ship then joined the Vanguard 😅. Shara won't talk to me right now, she thinks I'm a degenerate, I must prove myself to her once more.
I have a bug you can avoid. Do not modify your ship if you have items equipped in a ship armory. They will be gone forever and don't transfer to the ship inventory like they are supposed to. This includes the mannequins, weapon crates, and weapon racks.
The game is really good, gun play feels a lot better than fall out 4, mapping system leaves a-lot to be desired, and cutscenes for leaving and entering planets do get annoying when you’re constantly coming and going… besides that though the game is honestly good without a doubt
10:34 little tip. One way to "smuggle" contraband planetside without a shielded cargo is to get caught and pay the fine. When you get out, go back in to where you were arrested and look around the brig/lockup area. Usually you're confiscated items will be there. Wait for the right time and snag them. The fine you paid is small compared to the profits from a few pieces of contraband.
I'd say: 1. Learn to quicksave often. The game is horrendous about when to autosave, and you can find yourself reloading to a Very unsavory position. 2. Don't just rely on Particle Beams. You can build amazing ship killers using missiles as secondary, or lasers and ballistics. 3. Make multiple loot trips to the Ship, and just drop all items on the floor. The Ship will Still launch. 4. If you Have contraband, use Neon as well. You pay a little fine, then just back up into the corner of the room with the containers where the Neon security can't see you, and sneak down and steal. Then you can head to the Trade Authority there and cash in. Neons TA refreshes stock and credits almost every visit, Farrr more often then Kryx and the Den. 5. Assign Vasco to your ship Immediately. He's almost like a secondary Companion in that if you land and their are hostile near, he'll wander away to fight with you and your Actual companion. Make outposts on planets high in Aluminum, Iron and Helium first as these are the most used building components. 6. Most aid items that don't have a colored Triangle aren't worth keeping. There's a few like the Alien Food that boost Damage Resistance that are good, bot most that aren't the Med or Trauma Pack or Emergency Kit are just wasted credits. 6. Some vendors only take certain items, so save them for those vendors when you land on their planets. 7. Give the Unique weapons to your companions. Certain Magpulse or Regulator uniques just Devastate enemies, so if you have one 1 hitter and your companion has the other, it makes clearing out areas Easier. 8. Invest in Laser related perks, and keep a Cutter. It can become the most OP weapon. 9. Get the Dream house or Kid Stuff perk. They provide resting places for relatively cheap - $500 a week for Dream house, $500 a month for your parents apartment. Also, don't pay off the Dream House. You really only have to pay the $500 when you want to use it, it's not recurring. And you'll likely not use it enough to justify Actually paying it off, plus, you can stash contraband at the dreamhouse since there's no scan at Nesoii. 10. Don't worry about trying to buy the "best ship", because you can spend 500k-700k credits on just a ship, and it be outclassed by the Frontier with just 300k and some perk investments in Piloting and Ship Design in the beginning of the game. Leveling up Both perks to 4 will allow you to buy ALL the best ship parts to turn your first and Free ship into a literal Battleship.
tip for newbie ship - remove lasers and add PAR 3 or 4 (alpha beams) you can tell when the range is 3k (HUGE) and keep missiles 2x. 2 is not enough for the PAR weapons, but 3k range is huge. You can destroy ships from range before they lock on to you and can hit you with close up lasers and projectiles. Even the newbie ship does well with 3 par weapons. Find the SECRET outpost note from SPACERS and you can get awesome ship early + legendary helm/outfiit/boostpack.

Falcon! You know, when you're right, you're right. I was doing everything I could, like an adhd squirrel on crack, but after watching this video the other day I decided to get through a few main missions to complete Into the Unknown. WORTH IT. So, so very worth it. Got me all excited again, honestly. Now, to check out the Crimson Fleet!
Just a quick aside on number 4. You can get into the crimson fleet without getting caught committing a crime. Just do the first mission of the UC quest line and you'll get the option to take another quest for UC SysDef to go and infiltrate the crimson fleet. Once you're in, you can choose to side with them.
the ship part I think i would figure out, mostly because in previous bethesda games I will start to just get suspicious when I have to little room, litle it doesn't seem right and then just start removing stuff, maybe go to a storage area and remove all equiped gear to see what I'm carrying, so if I'm still have 90 mass and my inventory should be empty I would start looking elsewhere hehe.
Tip 4 comment... started playing fresh and didn't watch any YT vids. Did a side quest into an abandoned apartment and stole what I think was a toothbrush holder. I got arrested thinking id just pay a fine, but then I was all "Whose toothbrush holder did I STEAL?!"
You can easily game the system for contraband, just land outside the city and drop the stuff on the ground. Go back up, get scanned clean, then fly back down and pick it all up. You can just travel straight into town from there
Thank you so much for this video. I had overlooked the guy at the bar and was completely ignoring my "Secret Base" prompt. Those are next on my to do list.
10:02 You might want to hold off on getting caught, especially if you want a crime less playtrough. If you just do the first UC Vanguard mission, you get that as a separate quest chain. Regardless however, if you choose to betray the fleet, make sure to get everything exclusive before you leave.
Yeah doing the main story is important especially considering my first time playing I ignored the main story then when it came time to be stealthy I could not get rid of my companion because I hadn't done the most basic mainline story stuff
As someone who usually does every single side quest I can before doing the next main mission, I concur; I have only continued one side quest so far and haven’t done any faction missions or joined anyone, I’ve agreed to, but then left,, and yea it just feels right to main the main quest line, it flows really well, and I haven’t yet found a space that makes sense to go off out into the universe alone,, 20hrs in, thoroughly enjoying it. I’ve reached ‘Into the Unknown’ but yea not stopping main quests yet, probably won’t for a while, apart from getting this man his branch 😅 and seems like there’s 100’s of hours of really well fleshed side quests to do after,, happy days 😊
1:26 Andreja has full stealth 1:41 Use EM weapons on these missions. EM weapons incapacitate and do not count as killing. You don't need stealth, that's an optional playstyle.
Number 4, you don't have to get caught to do the Crimson Fleet quest line. You can also do it via the Vanguard quest line, working for SysDef as a double/triple agent, and then the quest line is so much more interesting, trust me.
@@dbs7932 The Vanguard recruiter is in the MAST build, on the left as you enter the ground floor. You'll be introduced to him by Sarah Morgan on the Constellation quest line. MAST is the big building directly above the NAT station, in the MAST district, in New Atlantis, on Jemison, in the Alpha Centauri System... in the Milky Way Galaxy.
@dbs7932 go to the MAST district on New Atlantis. Head into the MAST building above the transit, and there will be a guy on the left in the lobby that looks like a Hawaiian Wolverine. Talk to him and he'll get you set up

This just made me realize something that could be very terrifying (from tip 1): imagine living in a universe where all the planets are just procedurally generated junk... everything interesting will only be in a few cities in a few planets in a handful of stars... truly the stuff of nightmares
Here to say thank you for warning me to not ignore the main storyline! I had no idea that what happened was even part of this game! I was actually just sitting on "Into The Unknown" and doing everything else, and I'm soooo glad you said something because it absolutely changes the game! Thank you, thank you!! :)
love the starfield content, super helpful and informative, plus entertaining! and cannot stress enough how much i appreciate it being spoiler free. really been trying to dodge anything getting too into spoiler territory
I know right, every BGS game ever you have to be a loot goblin. I even picked up the plates and silverware in the starting area in Morrowind :D Sold that crap and went back for the rest of the stuff in the captains house. It's like a challenge to see how much you can hoard LOL
Actually, with being over-encumbered, there’s a few tricks you can utilize to haul a metric boatload of loot with you. You can make use of oxygen-increasing foods/drinks, and various water items to decrease oxygen consumption by ~20%; run instead of sprint, but if you sprint and jump using basic/balanced boost packs you can maintain only the running stamina consumption in midair (but be wary that jumping costs stamina/oxygen, too); you can make use of a certain “ability” to temporarily gain nearly infinite oxygen for a short time (and it can be used semi-permanently after being obtained); and try to prioritize only taking clutter items that are valued at least over 100 credits. Being this greedy let me get over 3-4 million credits by the time I was Level 35-40. Given how expensive ammo and ship parts can tend to be, it’s usually also not a bad idea to invest in a ship you can dump a ton of loot into (at least 2k storage capacity).
2k storage is rookie numbers! Gotta pump those numbers up. But good explanation especially the "ability" idea. I use that all the time when I'm filling up my 20k cargo starship. Basically makes it like over encumbered isn't a thing.
Thanks for including the secret outpost. I think I am high enough level now. So I am definitely going to check it out. In another video maybe I also recommend you tell people to not make the mistake of ignoring regular ships that you see land nearby. I have found if you can't commandeer the ship then you can find other nice little scenarios. 🙂
For number 4 you don't need to get caught if you want to join the Crimson Fleet. You can get the infiltration quest from completing your probationary mission from joining the UC Vanguard
Is that forced? I was randomly taking into custody even though I did nothing wrong. I didn't steal anything, and I didn't have any contraband. Suddenly I was told I needed to be arrested. I was doing a quest on Mars, where the dude wants me to get him new mining gear by becoming the assistant to the manager or some shit.
For #3, TheSpiffingBrit found a current exploit to avoid losing your contraband to a scan. As you're about to get scanned, instead land outside the city (where you won't be scanned) and dump your contraband there. Go back and get scanned, then fast travel back to your contraband, and you can go back to the city with your contraband.
Yeah, there's some insane persistence in this game. I went back to the starting moon at Level 10 and the remains of the first three ships I destroyed were still in orbit (it took me a while to learn how to loot ships)
@@SilentSooYunthat's why it's locked at 30 fps, every single thing you move is tracked, a pc can handle it but a console would propably need to drop a lot of graphics to do so lol.
Thank you falcon! I played into the unknown and wow this game is aging like fine wine already just keeps getting better and better now ima go through get a few more of these special missions done then go have me some real fun. Main missions are kinda trippy can be kinda fun.
I’m 8 hours deep and I’m hook line and sinkered into this game, and I’ve barely scratched the surface. This game is everything I was hoping for and then some. It gives me that classic feeling I felt back when Fallout 3, New Vegas, and 4 were released. I could not be any happier with this game!! There is a TON of hate and it’s very sad to see. This game is epic
I couldn't help myself, I paid the $31 to play 5 days early... I'm so glad I did... If you have more self control than me and can save the $31, then hang in there. You can play in 4 more days!!!
Been going through the main story and one of the first perks i maxed out was persuasion - very useful to lvl up early on...always feels cool to walk into a room of armed goons and walk out without firing a shot
For #10 I must say that yes. For space combat I have a protip for you, when you want to turn around fast, dont use the throttle. Just lift your finger from the W and the ship will turn around a lot quicker. For some it might be obvious but it took some time for me.
Heres a tip I've discovered, when playing on pc, i use a controller, when your overencumbered, holding the stick about 75% forward allows ypu to walk at almost full speed, but the game doesnt see it as running, so your o2 will actually replenish. Doesn't save a MASSIVE amount of time, but it will allow you to get back to your ship a lot faster than slow walking, and you won't have to stop moving at all.
there are some thing that arent completely correct or incomplete, like maybe your follower can get lost but you always can let him respawn on your ship and also there is a other way to get into the crimson fleet that doesnt involve stealing or breaking the law , its involves joining the vanguard
Here’s a thought: Iv been exploring different mostly barren planets trying to find the most beautiful perfect place to build my Home Base on, ANNND I found it. Took a while but it made exploring fun. Been gathering resources while I explore and let me say I gathered a LOT! Yes a lot of them are empty but it’s ok, use it as a mechanic instead of a drawback. Plus no doubt modders will use the huge number of planets for content 😂
@@AirocDSG it already is, that’s what I was saying, modders will just add more, though I will admit the fast travel is bad, but the shipbuilding is amazing. It has its ups and downs and is by no means a perfect game
@@KyleWilson96 thats true, I totally agree! I say almost the exact same thing to people who say that you have to play 12 hours for the game to "start" to become interesting. We shouldn't have to invest atleast 12-15 hours into a game for it to atleast become playable. It should be that from the beginning!
I restarted after level 12 because I overencumbered EVERYTHING by collecting everything which was useless and I concentrated on being able to carry as much as possible. Once I restarted I concentrated on rifles, ballastic weapons as well as ship stats. Saved enough to get the Shieldbreaker ship at 270k and then it became much much easier to fight in space. Maybe there are better ships but Shieldbreaker auto shoots the laser and I maxed it. As for surveying, that is rather a waste of a lot of time....try a whole planet once then walk away. Also, I always overencumbered with weapons from fights and then sold them at the various locations. Also don't skip some of those random structures, they can have 5k plus on credits as well as many fights and a magazine to read to permanently up your stats. And something I have not seen others mention is that I got Temple powers, kind of fun to use.
Your segment about the man with the paperwork left me wondering why you had so much unsold planetary survey data in your inventory at the end of your playthrough. You could have been selling it to Vladimir from the moment you met him, and he pays twice as much for it as any other NPC and reliably has 20k credits available to buy lots of it.
You don’t need to do that at all. You loot/discover so much stuff whilst exploring, it makes selling these pointless. I have well over 700,000 credits and absolutely nothing to spend it on. Spent over a million on ships as well.
As someone who the second I had freedom to ignore the story and explore. Immediately hearing number 10 has me questioning my method of madness. I'm gonna have to progress the story now.
To be fair, one of the most interesting characters I've ever played as was my "NPC" build in Skyrim, and basically never went to the Jarl of Whiterun and never started the Dragon Spawn, and just explored the world as a regular person in a fantasy world. It was so nice because I wasn't the big bad super important Dragonborn, I was just some rando trying to do his best to survive during a civil war, wandering and doing odd jobs for cash. Thank Todd for those never ending radiant quests. I just think being the best at everything in Skyrim(Fallout isn't completely off the hook either) is kinda stupid. I'm just a magic student who barely knows a ward spell yet I'm the archmage? Come on Winterhold, have some sort of bar to entry.
Thank you for these videos, this is an incredible game and it has -in my view-, recieved a lot of unwarranted hate, because of the tiles, the freaking loading times, etc. I'm not saying those aren't issues, but people are omitting so many of the other aspects that make the game a unique and joyous experience to play. Videos like this contribute to adding more depth into the game and shed a light into some of the potential you can get while playing it.
#1 Was probably the most important thing to hear on this list as most games have the planet / area as a prebuilt zone. Knowing that it's actually being randomly generated is going to save a lot of time for sure.
Thank you Falcon for Number 10! Did Number 2 early as well, and how annoying having to have Stroud in the mission "All that money can buy". I wanted to be ninja but nope he's just causally walking behind me 😂. Thank you guys 👍

The biggest mistake I made so far with this game is I picked up a soccer ball in "The well" and I got 17 bounty points on my head and got arrested. My thought process was I thought if I threw it into the soccer goal some funny dialog would happen with the kid . Learned that the hard way lol
@IrishCavalry6 Yes, that is exactly what I did. I thought you could hold it down and pick it up manually andd it wouldn't trigger the bounty but nope. They thought of everything in this version of Bethesda game
Great info. Im looking out for the secret outpost note. I haven't stopped playing since Thurs. I LOVE THIS GAME. Imagine the dlc content that's coming.
You know, you don't need to walk all the way back to the ship. Just hit the menu button, go to the ship screen, press X to access the cargo hold. Put the stuff you want while you are encumbered into the cargo hold. As far as i can tell, you can do this from anywhere.

I have yet to play this game, but I find in most, if not all, reviews that there are no land vehicles, which I find very questionable. The first time I could create a larger ship, I would make damn sure it had cargo space for some vehicle to help me traverse the planet and storage area. Kinda makes sense, no?
You know what Falcon? When you're right, you're right. THANK YOU for the heads up on finishing the "into the unknown" mission and also not spoiling it.
Another thing that Sucks about making the mistake of keeping ship parts in your inventory and not Cargo is not just the encumbering weight but the fact you cant repair your ship unless theyre in the cargo hold..... Learned that lesson the slow grueling hard way
From the sounds of it the mods this time round will be. More hidden exploration stuff. More reasons to go looking. Vehicles maybe. New factions and quests. Basically fixing and expanding the radiant stuff
Yes! Thank you, Falcon. Into The Unknown was great. I spent too long doing other things between each Constellation mission 😅. I should have done this first, and I'm glad I got no spoilers!
Back 4 days later. Thanks Falcon. You were right. It’s tips like that, that come much appreciated. Especially when your 33 hours in before even leaving New Atlantis. Lol. But ya Falcon, when your right your right.
About the ship at number 2, the ship currently has a glitch that eats anything you put in the the weapon racks...please learn from my mistakes 😅 Hope this saves at least one person!
Yeah I did have the ship parts problem once lol. You don't have to steal to join the Crimson Fleet if you don't want too, just join the Vanguard and you will get that mission soon.
I’m coming back to thank you for the advice/warning to play as far as Into the Unknown in the story mission. When you’re right you’re right Falcon. Seriously though he is right. I mean you don’t have to rush your way through that mission or anything but there is a really good reason you should play the story to the END of the mission Into the Unknown relatively soon. Like within your first 25-30 hours or so. I mean you are going to get side tracked a bit. It’s a Bethesda game and this is the most massive one yet but do get through that mission relatively soon. Falcon didnt mention you get three mission at once and Into the Unknown is one of them. You specifically need to finish just Into the Unknown. The other two aren’t required for what he’s talking about. Anyway, you were right. Good job. Lol. Also I missed the guy in Cydonia at first even after watching this video. Lol.
Pretty sure in past Fallouts you can tell your companion to hold fire. Just another way Bethesda and other lazy companies love to take away key features to modern gaming just to eventually release it with a new game later to be like see what we added
Some of these things I learned the hard way throughout the past few days 😂 But some great stuff in here! I’m doing the Crimson Fleet side quest right now and can confirm, it’s so fun!!
I'm enjoying, but it's definitely not everything I wanted it to be. Optimization UI is terrible Joystick support for ship control No seamless transitions No control over companions Ships are arcady No ground vehicles Exploration is dull Ship building is cool but limited and UI clunky (eg: why can't I resize/fully rotate parts?) Despite comms traveling faster than light in game, the markets are disconnected (eg: why can't I buy a ship from my home?) Overall a good, fun game (especially at early access), but clunky and limited. 7/10

It’s really fun to hear Falcon so happy and excited about a game. I literally got goosebumps buying and walking through the shield breaker today. The atmosphere and attention to detail of this game is truly unmatched.
Physics as well.

Is his side quest worth it/important?
I just did that LIST sidequest and I’m confused, why is it that I should do that one asap? I feel like I didn’t get anything special out of it.

For contraband I head to Wolf star and there’s a spacestation there called the den. No ship or body scans and the vendor usually has 11k in his pocket.
Little correction: The ship parts are not in Misc. They are Aid.
I've noticed that NPCs with actual dialogue that you can interact with are all named also, if you're in a busy area and your cursor hovers over someone with an actual name instead of just generic "citizen," etc, there's a good chance they're going to have something for you to do
Can confirm; I've ran past so many named NPCs that just stop me in my tracks to find them so I can see what they got to say
TY
Actually not true. Eventually you will unlock a planet with a party city called neon. A TON OF SIDEQUESTS come from word of mouth out of NPCS named Citizen.
Yeah that just about describes every video game
#4: You don't need to get arrested to kick this off. There is a recruiting station. I think joining the "Legal" way means doing a few extra quests before you can infiltrate the Fleet, but it is an option.
There's literally no way to avoid this quest. It's flagged no matter what you do at some point.
I randomly flew to a new system without crimes and no illegal cargo when I got "caught" and "recruited"
Edit. Forgot to add, as you say, if you join the vanguard and do their missions for a bit, you get asked to help these guys the legitimate way. Dialogue is wildly different for obvious reasons.
And I thought my character with the trait "Wanted" got caught due to that.

Dude, I wish I knew that before I dropped 3 contraband that cost me 50k total 😅
Or go to the den in the wolf system to sell them
6:55 A good tip for this too is if you’re at least I believe within 250m from your ship, you’re able to access the cargo hold and able to deposit loot in it while you’re wandering around.
Edit: You access the cargo hold by going to your menu and clicking on your ship tab, it won’t be found in the inventory tab.
Cheers !
awesome tip, better than any of the tips in the whole video lol

I'm in the middle of that one right now. I be tough keeping cover yet not running in like Leroy Jenkins with guns blazing lol.
But why do it the safe way, when you can, instead, go punch a Spacecop! Get caught the Fun way!
😂 I got caught first , killed my way off the Jail ship then joined the Vanguard 😅. Shara won't talk to me right now, she thinks I'm a degenerate, I must prove myself to her once more.
yea if you get in troulbe though the cops will also take a ton of your ammo and and aid and some other stuff
You do not need to be caught to join the fleet, just do a mission quest with the UC, you'll get it when you're fighting the terramorph situation
I have a bug you can avoid. Do not modify your ship if you have items equipped in a ship armory. They will be gone forever and don't transfer to the ship inventory like they are supposed to. This includes the mannequins, weapon crates, and weapon racks.
I found out the hard way. I lost 2 legendary armors. Supposedly the next patch will fix it.
Lost the Mantis suit this way
The game is really good, gun play feels a lot better than fall out 4, mapping system leaves a-lot to be desired, and cutscenes for leaving and entering planets do get annoying when you’re constantly coming and going… besides that though the game is honestly good without a doubt
Im loving the game so far. Im glad you suggested the main story. I was too bust visitng planets lol but now im going to straight line the main quest

Why dont you just play the game however you want
10:34 little tip. One way to "smuggle" contraband planetside without a shielded cargo is to get caught and pay the fine. When you get out, go back in to where you were arrested and look around the brig/lockup area. Usually you're confiscated items will be there. Wait for the right time and snag them. The fine you paid is small compared to the profits from a few pieces of contraband.
I'd rather not go through the hassle.
Go to the Den in the Wolf system. They don't scan and there is a Trade Authority merchant in the space station.
I think it’s worth noting that for a lot if not all of the “prisoners belongings” chests you’ll need to be high enough level to pick an expert lock.
I'd say:

That ending was incredible. When Martin turned into the dragon Akatosh and saved Cyrodil from Mehrunes Dagon... that was some crazy shit

You might want to hold off on getting caught, especially if you want a crime less playtrough. If you just do the first UC Vanguard mission, you get that as a separate quest chain. Regardless however, if you choose to betray the fleet, make sure to get everything exclusive before you leave.

@@vulpinemachine Exactly! They know how how to entice people to be a loot goblin.
You deserved a lot of views on this video. This is real information and content.
Thanks
I did the secret outpost before level 8 lol. Just take them out one at a time

We'll be waiting to hear back after you progress
Don’t forget to give us your input post- discovery.
I'll be progressing the story in the morning, so I'll let you all know if I encounter "that part"
Yeah been exploring for 50h...
Who the fuck is complaining about loading times? Everything is quick for me and I'm on console.
#1 Was probably the most important thing to hear on this list as most games have the planet / area as a prebuilt zone. Knowing that it's actually being randomly generated is going to save a lot of time for sure.
👍🏼
Thank you Falcon for Number 10! Did Number 2 early as well, and how annoying having to have Stroud in the mission "All that money can buy". I wanted to be ninja but nope he's just causally walking behind me 😂. Thank you guys 👍
Thank you so much Falcon for your valuable insight on what I'm supposed to do in the video game STARFIELD, I'm so glad I followed your advice in working on the story missions in the game STARFIELD instead of just powering forward and exploring the vast universe of STARFIELD. Love you so much!! ❣
The biggest mistake I made so far with this game is I picked up a soccer ball in "The well" and I got 17 bounty points on my head and got arrested. My thought process was I thought if I threw it into the soccer goal some funny dialog would happen with the kid . Learned that the hard way lol
Just had the same thing happen lol.
noice
If you hold down your pick up button you can move objects around in world.
@@IrishCavalry6 Any Elder Scrolls/Bethesda-Fallout veteran will immediately share this, hah.
It's ridiculously hard if your low level lol
I got it , and also found out shoot asteroids in space they give u resources when u destroy them
Number 4 you get the option by joining the Vanguard to infiltrate the Crimson Fleet so you don't have to be caught stealing.
Dude....your Snagglepuss reference did NOT go to waste. Very appreciated.
You know, you don't need to walk all the way back to the ship. Just hit the menu button, go to the ship screen, press X to access the cargo hold. Put the stuff you want while you are encumbered into the cargo hold. As far as i can tell, you can do this from anywhere.
Thank you so much Falcon for you valuable insight on what I’m supposed to do in the video game STARFIELD, i’m so glad I followed your advice in working on the story missions in the game STARFIELD instead of just powering foward and exploring the vast universe of STARFIE-.
I have yet to play this game, but I find in most, if not all, reviews that there are no land vehicles, which I find very questionable. The first time I could create a larger ship, I would make damn sure it had cargo space for some vehicle to help me traverse the planet and storage area. Kinda makes sense, no?
IRL that makes sense. But this is a Bethesda game and in Bethesda games we WALK. And it feels great! :D
@@vulpinemachine Second question. Would this be a better game if it was developed through Rock Star?
@@nathangregory_ I think rock star has lost it's way, I'm not sure they could pull this off tbh. :\
@@vulpinemachine Really.....If so, let's pray they can get it together.
You can join the crimson fleet without getting caught, you just need to complete the first part of the UC faction quest arch.
Learned that lesson the slow grueling hard way
Thanks can’t wait to play this on the gamepass 🤘🏻🍻❤️
Hope you enjoy it!
I definitely reccomend people do the secret base mission. No spoilers for what you get for completing it, but I will say the mission is a little sad.
With the clones?
Question: are there like job boards which can lead you to procedurally generated content on planets? The equivalent of radiant quests from Skyrim?
Yes, there are a ton of them!
So many from major factions and even minor groups and companies
About the ship at number 2, the ship currently has a glitch that eats anything you put in the the weapon racks...please learn from my mistakes 😅 Hope this saves at least one person!
Check the cargo hold. They should end up in there.
Yeah I did have the ship parts problem once lol. You don't have to steal to join the Crimson Fleet if you don't want too, just join the Vanguard and you will get that mission soon.
yeah Falcons right, I avoided the main story for 31 hours, done a load of other bits then went back, now I see why! Thank you Papa Falcon
Absolutely love your content, can't wait to play this when I get my hands on it
Glad you enjoy it!
W Bethesda,w Xbox,w starfield,w gameranxs

>Don't run around over-encumbered!
Actually, _do_ do that whenever you're out of combat. Helps you passively level Weight Training and Oxygen both.
Lol.
I hope one day somebody makes an fps game where companions can actually aid in stealth
Far Cry 5?
Phantom Pain does it fantastically
Quiet the sniper queen🤤@@AlexFrank02
Pretty sure in past Fallouts you can tell your companion to hold fire. Just another way Bethesda and other lazy companies love to take away key features to modern gaming just to eventually release it with a new game later to be like see what we added
Some of these things I learned the hard way throughout the past few days 😂 But some great stuff in here! I’m doing the Crimson Fleet side quest right now and can confirm, it’s so fun!!
Be careful on breaking the bank. First time everyone was hostile even rokov. Second and third time Klaudia was invisible. Be careful on that quest.
I'm really enjoying Bethesda in Space, It's everything I wanted it to be
👍🏼
I'm enjoying, but it's definitely not everything I wanted it to be.
Optimization
UI is terrible
Joystick support for ship control
No seamless transitions
No control over companions
Ships are arcady
No ground vehicles
Exploration is dull
Ship building is cool but limited and UI clunky (eg: why can't I resize/fully rotate parts?)
Despite comms traveling faster than light in game, the markets are disconnected (eg: why can't I buy a ship from my home?)
Overall a good, fun game (especially at early access), but clunky and limited.
7/10

Oh so you also want the flight mechanics cutscenes every time you leave and enter a planet? You don't even know what gamescom is why are you even here
