Swedish have god tier rock music skills, despite their low numbers. A disproportionate quantity of successful metal, punk and pop acts come from this tiny Nordic nation. WHY?!
First at all I think because they speak a good English, there are good bands in other countries but they sing with bad accents or in their languages xd
tbh i think it's because the government spend a lot of money on embracing culture. We have studieförbund that makes it so that basically anyone can afford rehearsal spaces & a majority of the counties have a culture school and everyone is encouraged to try different instruments in the 4th grade. I come from an small village and in my class of ~20 we had 3 guitarists, 1 saxophone player, 1 trumpet player and 1 producer.
