I have an L1800 but a different brand. I’m afraid to turn it off because it stirs the ink regularly when on. I’m going to try that quick fix when I get back home though
You really do not need an ink pad... if you do not have one or the ink pad is old, you can remove it and replace it with a folded baby wipe, making sure it does lay flat. You would do this each night. The baby wipe is a temporary placement. Each night or after you close down your printer you should clean your ink pad area.

Do you remember what the report said? What exactly was your error code? Was it 0x0a
sorry no, I don't remember
I have this same error code. Did you figure out what it was?
I have done that and brought me a reset code and lights are still blinking… any ideas?
Hi, do you leave your printer running all the time or turn it off every day?
I be sure before turning it off I perform a wet cap in the ink well and turn it off from the front then turn off the power switch in the back.
I don't leave it on when not in use
