As a complete newbee I have done a bootcamp with Mystery and Beckster once. They took the time to explain theory, which was nice. After that we went into the city to practise. It was a fun experience. It was very expensive, though. In those 3 days They didn’t show us their pick-up skills live. That was the only thing I missed.

And you just start with objective " i want your opinion" and then you keep the conversation "evolving". .change the subject fast, include alot of twists and turns. I will guarantee you as you walk away alot of the time they will come and grab your arm and want to keep talking

Mystery's book is called "The Mystery Method" which is a manuel for Mystery's pickup methods. Neil Strauss's book "Rules to the Game" is basically his (Neil Strauss) version of a pickup manuel. You can find "Rules to the Game" and "The Game" on Amazon, but I've heard the Mystery Method can be more uncommon to find. I haven't looked on amazon for it, tho.
