I visited Vegas recently and the vibe is so different. People are less social and there seems to be an underlying current of racism in Vegas these days. Not overt racism, but undercover racism.
People are not even as playful on the strip as in previous years. Have you noticed that as well

Man, the over 40's crowd here will remember back when this guy was just a name on pickup message boards the world over, no videos, no photos, dial up internet, email and Nokia 3210's. Took his and other's tips and talked to girls in college and out and about ( no nightclubs, hated going to them) Met a gorgeous lady on the beach I dated for 4 years and it blew my mind that I bedded a complete stranger in a few days after implementing some of the advice he wrote about when all other men I knew in real life had zero clue, like me, about attracting women. This legend helped A lot of men back in the day

I like your comment. Exactly true. I read the book the game. Started implementing few things. Started going to a gym away from my usual gym just to try things. Even learning to ask a simple open ended question like “Why” made a huge difference. At first it was difficult but then I was opening left and right. Even extreme hot girls, I was opening, if they came up with a quick witty reply and I choked and she turned away, it was like a game: your character died, re-start the game with another one. At that point, the game thing scared me, this is like a dark magic. The biggest problem of my life, the women is like completely reachable. I got scared a bit. Then I ended up marrying. And now I’m back in the game like 15-20 years later. I seriously regret that I didn’t get better at it. Fell in love too easy. But this Mystery guy is the o.g guy . Looks like he wants to come back. Went to a bar with a teddy bear in my hand once. Peacocking. I mean this guy is the legend.

Erik's attitude toward social media is insightful. The problem is that, while social media scales, it scales for everyone. And that creates monopolies.
Think of Amazon: Why does it crush local retailers? Because it's universally accessible. There doesn't need to be "another Amazon one town over." It's at everyone's fingertips.
Social media works the same way. One high-status dude can reach more women than ever. He becomes a kind of monopoly.
This is why in-person approaches are so powerful. In that moment, you're not competing against millions of other guys on social media. It's just you, her, and whoever else is in the room. It's a niche market.

Thx this was well written. Chad (top 2-3% men in looks) monopolizes 50% woman. And the Chadlights (7-8% second highest cohort) graze the remaining 40 to 45% of acceptable woman. (woman from the ages of 18 to 35) So the top 10% men in looks (face (50% of priority), height (30% of priority), body (20% of priority)) bind 95% of woman. Tinder showed this by it's data that the same 5% of men get convos and just 2% get a date. This 2% are the Chad's.The issue is that Chad's (8's) and Chadlights (7's) bind this woman so this doesn't implies that they sleep with 95% of woman but they make this 95% of woman non responsive to Normie men,who are the mid 80% of men (4's (20% of men), 5's (40% of men), 6's (20% of men)) according to the gaussian standard distribution. Today I see that the effect of game is greatly reduced you can be the entertainer but she just mets Model Chad with one click at her mobile (Dating Apps). Game still can be effective but it must be adapted to the current situation.
      Regarding Eric:
Alone Eric's height and face places him in the Chadlight territory

Mystery is absolutely a king but he learned from Ross Jeffries aka Paul Ross. Allegedly, Magnolia the movie is based off of Paul Ross. I’m not saying Mystery didn’t materialize his own concepts but Paul has been a mentor in the background for over 40 years. Get him on the show!

I like Mystery's idea of creating/uploading a face, then getting matches of women with the most similar faces on a dating app. Of course dating apps won't do this, as it would save guys a lot of time, whether they meet someone or not, and spend less money on re-subs to the app.

Man I didn't realize how much intelligence pickup required. This is the first time I've heard of mystery. Seems very intelligent. Seems like a large part of pickup game theory is all about introspection mixed with realtime observation. Super interesting shit

The logistics of moving or living in a major city or not the same at all as when he’s talking about. An apartment now in a major city will cost 5-7k a month, if it is halfway liveable and in a decent location. Additionally you cannot really be outside you need to Uber everywhere you go, because of homeless drug addicts on every corner. Probably about 40% of every American city is homeless. If you can afford that while still having time to actually put into going out, then it might be worth it. But it doesn’t work any more for a middle class person. It will strip you of every dollar basically ruining your financial future, and for that price you get to walk around with homeless drug addicts every day.

Great interview, been waiting for this one for a long time, loved it.
When you asked him about dating apps and social media, he didn’t seem fully bought into it which is a bit unfortunate because that tells me he hasn’t yet understood the sheer scalability power of having a high value social media.
At the same time it’s hard to blame him because he’s got so good and so used to cold approach pickup before social media was even a thing.
It’s not that you shouldn’t learn social skills, it’s that old school PUA is arithmetic: meeting one girl or one group at a time approach to game vs social media/social circle which is geometric: allows you to spread your influence to a larger volume of women within environments that game for you.
I think there is a middle ground though and having only one skillset is a mistake.
I think merging a few aspects of old school PUA could only HELP you in social media/social circle game because eventually you still need to be interesting, funny, charismatic, etc. when you’re face to face with attractive girls.
