The S24 Ultra seriously needs an update to address the performance issue. Even with mine, I don't even game on it too much. My two Gen 1 devices (Tab S8 and S22 Ultra) are my preferred devices for CODM. The s24 Ultra gets too hot playing this game above 60fps. While playing at 90 fps on both 8 Gen 1 devices, temps stay between 38 and 41c. The S24 Ultra was hitting 43c.

Thats the reason samsung took a diff route they added 2 low power cores for daily workload but reduced x4 clock speed to 2.9ghz even 9300 gets bit hot but not as 8gen3 as its main core is 3.2 ghz lol

Actually this is insane 8 gen 2 and gen 3 are supposed to be so much better than 8 gen 1 in terms of efficiency

@amoorxd5432 I should be. It needs some updates. It's also updates that got the 8 Gen 1 performing better.

Actually, it was interesting to see that until the BrowserBench part that the 8gen 1 S22 Ultra had similar battery life to the S23 Ultra. Did the S23 Ultra battery life get worse or did the S22 Ultra improve thanks to a software update?

That's a good question - I'm going to be doing another battery drain test when the S22U gets the 6.1 update so we shall see 👍

The S22U Exynos 2200 did pretty well indeed. The Snapdragon 8G1 varient didn't do the Solar Bay test but battery still did well too 👍

Note : Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 doesn't support Ray Tracing it supports Volumetric lighting (God Rays) which is not as great as Ray Tracing.

The s24 + Exynos is currently getting a lot of hate because its not a snapdragon chipset. But your tests are showing that its still fairly decent and better off getting them the S23 models...

Samsung either released a bad update or is restricting performance on the S24U. Now that the reviews are complete, they do not have to achieve the best performance and can nerf the devices to align with their pet project, making the Exynos look good.
It is a bit shocking to see the scores on the S24U downgraded, but I will give it the benefit of the doubt until next month as Samsung updates are up and down, and I'm not too fond of their monthly updates. My battery life has taken a significant dive. Instead of a PR stunt to rush monthly updates, I wish they would do what the Chinese OEMs do, three-monthly updates that are well-refined with few bugs.
My S24U is still smooth and fast for day-to-day use, so I am nitpicking. I do not really need full performance or the great battery life I got when new, but I would prefer better than not.

Stop with that excuse of "making the S24 Exynos look good", if there's was the reason why the S24 plus with Exynos and the S22U with Exynos got nerfed in other areas as well?, I think, that with updates the benchmarks scores can decrease or increase.

Nah bro its 8gen3 like 888 8gen1 it has lot of peak power but heats like hell even xiaomi 14 and 14 ultra watch nl tech channel he tested gaming performance after 3 months after 8gen2 2400 came at top as its more stable thanks to its 2 lower power cores which allowed its peak core to 2 9 ghz so it thermal throthles less while 8gen3 phones start good but most phones cant cool the mighty x4 at 3.3ghz so they thermal throtle most phones with 8gen3 have worse performance in genshin unless gaming phones which have powerfull cooling systems so yeah peak wise 8gen3 is better but if you push 2400 has better sustained despite tsmc 4nm 8gen3 fails to cool itself lol

The temperature is monitored with the floating widget you can see on the screens. The battery life can be checked before the Solar Bay test as that's the only test they can't all perform 👍
