- The Dallas Stars defeat the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 7 by a final score of 2-1 to move on in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Joey reacts to the game and series clinching victory by the Stars and breaks down the coaching performance from Pete DeBoer. For the first time this season, he put Logan Stankoven on the top line and put Pavelski with Wyatt Johnston and Jamie Benn which really paid off. It was another close game that Stars closed out defensively with fantastic games from Miro Heiskanen and Thomas Harley. The entire defense deserves credit along with Radek Faksa who scored the game winning goal. In the second segment, we hand out our series MVP award which has to go to Johnston who led the team with four goals and seven points in the series. When Dallas needed a hero, he stepped up. Joey also raves about the Stars defensively and how important Chris Tanev has been to the Stars. To finish the episode, we take a sneak preview of the Colorado Avalanche, the second round opponent for the Stars. The series begins on Tuesday night in Dallas, Nathan Mackinnon and Cale Makar are the players Dallas must stop.

I just want to say that Johnston scored only cuz of Pavelski's forecheck, so even though he didn't end up on the score sheet, we need to give Pavs some love!!
Pavs has been doing everything he needs to except scoring. He'll get his but until then I will take what he's giving. You can guarantee my good luck Pavelski bobblehead is on full display right now. LOL
Johnston was the one who forced the turnover…Pavelski pressured the Vegas player along the boards, but, didn’t actually touch him. It was basically just a fake-out, he pulled up before he could complete the hit, so I wouldn’t call that a forecheck, per-say.
@@che498 Forechecking is applying pressure in the o zone, it's not limited to physical contact. Pavelski applied pressure, forcing Vegas into the turnover. Ok yeah Johnston forced the tunover, when did I say he didn't? Just wanted to give Pavelski his dues that don't show up on the stat sheet.

What a day the Texas Rangers come back and win 3-2 after being down 2-0. The Dallas Stars come back from an 0-2 deficit in a playoff series and win the series with game 7!!!

Great win Game 7 win by the Stars! This is the second time in franchise (first since moving to Dallas) that they have comeback from 0-2 down to win a best-of-seven series! This is the first time since 2003 that both the Stars and Mavs have advanced past the first round in the same year. Peter DeBoer is now 8-0 in Game 7s! It was also nice to see Dallas Cowboys' legend, Michael Irvin, at the game! Wow! What a game!

Respect to you guys from a Vegas fan . Good luck in the rest of the playoffs . Always liked Deboer as a Vegas fan and appreciated what he had to say about us when we eliminated you guys last year . Hell of a series this was . Literally as close as could be. All 7 games and every single game decided by 1 goal. The 3 that were 2 goals were because of empty nets . Quite literally couldn’t have been closer . Fun to watch. Hurts to lose but I’m just happy I got to see the misfits lift a cup last year. But either way. Good luck to you guys.

I believe that's the second time the Stars which they were the North Stars eliminated the defending Stanley cup champs Edmonton oilers in 1990 91. On the way to go to the Stanley cup finals . The Stars only won 27 games during the season.
They also eliminated the great dynasty of the Montreal Canadiens in 1980 (last time the franchise won a Game 7 on the road) and the Anaheim Ducks back in 2008.

As a VGK fan, I am not bitter whatsoever. Great even matchup, but the Stars were the better team and the defense was stout . With that said, I don’t like the Stars nor the Knights had they won having a great chance against the fire power of the Avs. It’s just hard for me to see them score 4 goals in a game regularly to knock them off. What’s your take Dallas fans?

No offense, but, we don’t want Johnston having to do all of the “grunt work” for a line, on top of the scoring as well. That’s an extremely unfair ask to pair him with the two slowest skaters on the team (who also happen to be two of the worst defenders). Pavs and Benn should NOT be on the same line.
Additionally, I respect your post game commentary, but, research is also imperative when making arguments. Stankoven with the top line graded out as the Stars worst trio this postseason thus far. Colorado isn’t as good defensively as Vegas but still, don’t think that change is the solution.

I could totally be wrong, but I don't think the fatigue will show Tuesday. If Ott's locked in, they'll win game one. Even though the Avs had a long break, I don't think the fatigue will show for the Stars until later in the series.
Rest vs rust is always talked about. We are playing vegas battle hardened hockey, they have been practicing and sleeping in. I like to keep rolling that intensity and momentum.
