Good vid, but I’d also like to see you set it at 2 and try it again as the other comment suggested. Thanks for sharing the info as we wait to get our hands on our Nox.
An iron bias setting at one or two with a 6 inch coil for separating coin from trash. The 6 inch coil alone will make a huge difference! Yes you will lose depth but only two to three inches;)
My nox 800 won’t go any lower than 6 inches with a hammered in an air test. I’m using beach one setting with a recovery speed of 4. Is that normal or is it a bad depth
I saw a video... when detecting, checking if a bottlecap before digging. go from multi to 5. This will show if it is a bottlecap.. (maybe)...depends on how old or beat up the bottlecap is. I have not tried this yet. Thanks
Enjoyable video . On one of your early video's you used Iron bias 2 . Which i use . And i find a lot a tiny items . Like a impacted 0,22 bullet at a good 6 inch . Keep the tuitional video's coming . cheers for sharing your settings .
Always leave iron bias on 0...and no discrimination at all. Instead u want to adjust the tones so all iron is low and dark so you can just hear them in the background without it getting annoying. The vid numbers you are interested in..have them come up as a high pitch tone with a higher volume. Easy as that and you'll never miss anything. And youll hear that dark, low iron tone together with the chirpy if you're above a target that the detector thinks might be good but its getting a false reading. You'll hear that straight away. If you have iron bias on or discriminate iron you cant hear that the detector trying to tell you that there are iron there as well.
Hi Gigi , While I am waiting for my Equinox 800 I look at your videos where I learn a lot from , I have a question I live at the Beach in Belgium . What are the best settings for the beach , 2 tones or 5 tones , the best recovery speed , auto tracking on or off . Can you give me a few instructions please . Greeting Janusz from Belgium
Gigmaster sorry but the impression I had was that when the Iron Bias was on you could not detect the coin that was next to the nail. You could hear it only when your I.B was 0. Correct?
Morning Buddy, before we went on Vacation we went to Cold harbor relices to buy a set of Gray ghost head phones an was told by Jerry that there is a much better pair of water proof head phones out there they ate made by Patriot headphones an are made just for rhe Minelab. So we bought them they were around 170 ish an they worked great.
Hello Steve just got back from Lake Ronkonkoma on long island,For the first time Steve i tried Fe 9 and it still picks up trash why i still hear sounds. On your video on your iron bias Fe9 i hear no sounds. Can you please tell me what else to do.And i have the mx7 it has relics program on it what do i use for relic hunting on the nox 800 please help i know you would help.
I have the iron bias is at 3, still picks up some trash, but the sounds are broken, so you know not to dig. Whit the iron bias at 3 it still finds the penny's, dimes and quarter's, but the nickles are kind of tricky, they show a 13, and so do the older bottle caps.
From the sound of your machine I think you could turn the recovery speed up one notch and you would be picking out that 1st one out to there isnt much hope getting that last one by the big iron. As far as I know. Nice vid thanks for sharing
What do you prefer when hunting relics in a field with alot of iron? Field 1 or 2? I was hunting a plowed field that was early 1800s..its infested with iron. Drove me crazy hearing all the iron. Square nails were coming in around 15 and 16. Any settings you would recommend to silence alot of the iron?
I was watching a guy detect a hurricane fence line using an AT Max, he was able to move along the metal fence and pick out good targets. Do you know a way to set up the Nox to do that? Maybe need to fool with the frequency?
After storm you need look for density...foil on one way and silver gold and coins on other site... When you find the silver you are on the way. All numbers after 0 you must dig
Good video . What would happen if you use low reactivity and high iron bias ? I do beaches that are full of iron nails and some good targets between . I dont want to lose too much depth but need to get between the nails better .
I don't really see a big difference in this detector than others. It's still the same battle....iron! Maybei don't know enough about it yet but still works like most detectors. Prove me wrong?
Alberto Suarez Working on that myself! There is always a give and take for example as you lower the discrimination you lower the depth. Maybe some others on here can give us some good settings!
In this test I did not run on all metal. In this video the guy has some good setting at the end (thanks Hedge Hopper!) ruclips.net/video/zND_b_ztR8I/видео.html
nice video thanks ...but to be honest I could not hardly understand a thing you were saying at times when you were talking as the beeps were twice as loud as your voice was would have been better for you to lower the volume of the beeps ...apart from that mate ...great vodeo as always ...love you videos very much great work ...
seems to be that with this digital processing the size of the iron in very important--it's like a mathmatical subtraction. I did a video showing how the F2 hit a gold ring right though two crossed spikes--but when you increase the size--no way.
Field made 2, Iron bias 3, with reactivity 4 and ground balance at 0 (don't ground balance). This video will help you big time ruclips.net/video/zND_b_ztR8I/видео.html GL&HH Michael
I'd like to see what happens, doing the same test, with an Increased Recover Speed. Might loose some depth but better seperation?
After your nox flooded out ,I have never submerged mine.It pays to watch your videos. Thanks !!!
got to go up one setting at a time, I like how he is trouble shooting it and yes finding the right settings is vital
Can’t wait till the weather breaks to get out and do what you do brother you inspire me
Good vid, but I’d also like to see you set it at 2 and try it again as the other comment suggested. Thanks for sharing the info as we wait to get our hands on our Nox.

Will it be different if put on horse shoe
Hi , what harness and bag do you use to carry equipment and put finds and rubbish into?
Right now i have an xtremescoop bag but i change it out sometime.
The tests in air are often very different to the results for buried items. I suggest you bury various items at 4 to 8 inches and then test settings.
Enjoyable video . On one of your early video's you used Iron bias 2 . Which i use . And i find a lot a tiny items . Like a impacted 0,22 bullet at a good 6 inch . Keep the tuitional video's coming . cheers for sharing your settings .
what setting should i use for park for iron bias
Nice video, I think I'm gonna get this one instead of the Garrett Max
Recovey speed?

Greeting Janusz from Belgium
Janusz Foucart I have been using the machines default dry sand settings which is 5 tones.
@@Gigmaster how about wet sand ?
What you think about the iron bias2?Thats after the update?
That was excellent gig cheers mate
i was in park 1 when i used Fe9 you were in field any difference
At the beaches I am located at been putting the iron bias at 4!!
When I use my 600 I am getting 20-32 for old rusty barbed wire. I’m confused. What is standard number for civil war bullets and buttons.
Jimmy James Three ringers are usually around 17. Sometimes wire, nails, etc can give false non ferrous readings.
So what is the advantage of Iron Bias if it also eliminates the good stuff all together?
It does not eliminate good stuff

Gene bought some and he likes them
Hello steve i havent used the iron bias yet but will do now.if at 9 it will still pick up silver and gold i hope.
if your silver or gold or whatever good target is close to iron, the iron will make the detector go silent over your good target too.

Depends on where i am water or land.

I run mine one 1 or two still separates good at speed and cuts down falsing on nails
Joe Cheek Thanks for the info!
Maybe a smaller coil can separate the FE from the Non FE in this test??
I want see how to use hunter golden
Cool test, good video. Would you be willing to recreate this test with each fe setting 0-9? Thanks, Gig.

No, have not figured that out yet.
I don't care for the iron grunts myself maybe don't wear headphones

All metal fe 2 ..you wont miss much at all.. way less bottle caps too
shame you dint try recovery 6 iron bias 2
Good video .

it sends out distress call to uss enterprise if ya do that
Sorry i don't understand but in simple terms what is iron bias?
Pack Man It is an advanced setting that you can change that will sway the detector to recognize targets as ferrous or non ferrous.
Gigmaster thanks!!
try this one ,4x4 mode , iron bias 4 recovery speed 4
dan longgon That would go good with my jeep! 4x4! Lol
Does that setting on the very right, do the recovery speed and iron bias too? Thanks.
Yes it does. You get the iron bias if you hold down the scroll button for two seconds and get a line under the icon bias icon.
Great video. Thanks for sharing mate.
Re do your test with iron bios set on 2
Thats where I normally keep mine. Old homesites.
Trey Hoehn I see everyone putting bias at 2.
Great video! Thanks

Great lesson, thanks for sharing it.
Thank you so much! 🌝

Good vídeo friend, a question how to configure my Equinox for more depth ?
Alberto Suarez Working on that myself! There is always a give and take for example as you lower the discrimination you lower the depth. Maybe some others on here can give us some good settings!
Gigmaster ok, then i used my Equinox in all metal not to lose depth ?

somehing not right with your volume then
Nice video, thank you!
iron bias at 2 :))
Good info. Thanks.
gracias por su aporte saludos desde argentina..
Includes Iron Rejected Option
It was really hard to hear your narration over the tones. I don't have the machine so I'm not missing anything. Just an FYI
There are so many videos out there that would be great, if the author would just proof read/look at their video and fix problems before posting?
Should be set at 2

Interessante video, 👍Tanti saluti ciao endriu 👍👍
Jóia!
Test molto interessanti. Cerco di riproporli sul mio canale in italiano, se non ti dispiace...
I can hardly wait till we get to go metal detecting together in HEAVEN YES AND AMEN FOREVER AND ALWAYS AMEN.
Let’s not wait that long. 😂
oh default is 6 ok
Field made 2, Iron bias 3, with reactivity 4 and ground balance at 0 (don't ground balance).
This video will help you big time

I like it!
Bleeping to loud over your voice
crap audio can hardly understand a thing your saying at some points as the sound of the machine is too loud
sort your ears
