    Excellent video. The learning curve is critical in detecting & many people (myself) get frustrated with all the noise & false targets. Most helpful 800 vid I've seen. Thank you!

    Good to see I am not the only one finding tiny bits of fly poop with my Nox, thanks for sharing mate. This helps to convince people that it really can find tiny bits of gold like that, my smallest so far is 0.010g or 100th of a gram.😎
    Im glad to see you are also using the ground tracking... you can turn it off but I never have.
    Thanks for sharing mate.
    Great bits of gold for your efforts.
    Good Luck & Happy Swingin' mate.

      I find super small with my 800 aswell. Some people call bull shit, when I show them which is funny... Do people really lie about their finds? Ha

    • @Swingin_wit_Willy
      @Swingin_wit_Willy 2 года назад +1

      @@adamsomodi3957 i dont think that people fake finding small bits of gold with the nox. But some people do fake thier gold finds. But people really dont believe how capable the Nox800 is on gold. Especially small gold, but if the monster can do it the nox800 is more than capible. People normally doubt it because they dont have the right technique. It takes time to learn these things. Also you need to have patience.
      Good Luck & Happy Swingin'

    Took my nox out twice had the issue of finding targets after digging them so picked up the Garrett carrot from a local md shop totally worth it saves time digging and creating unnecessary large holes

      Thanks, just covering the basics for folks. And yes, I believe switching to 20 or 40 is a good idea to go over ground you’ve explored. And maybe to isolate small signals.

    Great video brother. I recently started prospecting panning and metal detecting, I bought the equinox 800 and have been taking it to the creek where everyone pans for gold are there any settings you recommend there's alot of hot Rocks, iron, nails, pull tabs. Are there numbers I shouldn't be digging or do I dig all of them for now. Thanks again I'm glad I found your video and seen how small of gold nuggets your finding I thought I screwed up buying the equinox instead of a gold monster

    • @coloradogoldbackpackingmou3035
      @coloradogoldbackpackingmou3035  2 года назад +3

      1-4 will be most of the gold. Those number will also be shotgun for pellets and lead from old can seals. You’ll dig a lot of trash to find your first bit of gold.

    GREAT video. I bought the 800, but now im wondering if I wasted money on the pointless cheap headphones and 2 additional hz ranges. Looks like you are using the multirange... why not the 20 or 40k? (which the 800 has and the 600 does not) Not too late to swap if the added 20hz and 40hz are pointless.... thoughts? Thanks!

    • @coloradogoldbackpackingmou3035
      @coloradogoldbackpackingmou3035  3 года назад

      You made a good choice. 20 and 40 are in action during multi.

      I would gold prospect in Park Mode, unless you enjoy hunting for pin heads. One more thot: Gold nuggets are "hot" rocks too!

    • @dhfr89
      @dhfr89 3 года назад

      @@coloradogoldbackpackingmou3035 incorrect. Multi mode does NOT include 20 or 40. It's the other 3 lower modes combined.

Very informative.... do u use any pinpointers in Colorado or would the hot rocks make it go wild?! i use the equinox as well, just a lil different settings here on the beaches in Florida. Keep the videos coming bro i always look forward to watching them! Happy Hunting brother 🥇⛏⚒

      Indeed. There’s likely a substantial amount of fines. Went back to the car and put an empty sand bag in my detecting pack for that very use.

    I live in Alaska. We only get about 3 months without snow and 24 hrs of sun. Unless I plan to prospect in the snow in the dark? Lots of different terrain and creeks, and rocky beaches. Looking for mainly gold, and also native artifacts. So with money aside. What do you recommend for an all-around detector with a coil? 6 in sounds nice! How do you like the DD coils? Would like some depth as well. Lots of mountain rock here? Your advice will be honored!. I found a 7.97-gram nug just by chance. Got the fever now. I'm only worried about a bear sneaking up on me at the creek or somewhere.🤠

  • @Petey81
    @Petey81 2 года назад +1

    You should always, always have your coil touching the ground. Don't be afraid to wear out your coil covers people!

    • @coloradogoldbackpackingmou3035
      @coloradogoldbackpackingmou3035  2 года назад

      At the sensitivity I run, numbing the ground causes false signals. I understand your assertation, but coil control has a key for high performance
