i’m reading this book called “the five people you meet in Heaven” and this song made my reading experience even better as if the book itself wasn’t eye-opening enough.(this song is mentioned in different points of the book)
Never got hooked on cigarettes or strong drink. Never tried pot, stayed a long way from opiods. But I cannot go a day without hearing a song from Patsy.
No vocal training, no auto-tuning of course as it didn’t exist…just pure, raw and unsurpassed talent. Literally, one of the greatest American singers in any genre. Right up there with Ella et al.
Patsy backed by the legendary Jordanaires as they did on most of her recordings . What a rich full beautiful sound , it never again would be better . There was something magical about the Nashville Sound from the late 1950s to mid 1960s that has not been equaled since . Look at the massive number of top 100 recordings (of every type) that came out of Nashville during that era . From Patsy to Elvis , Brenda Lee , Ricky Nelson , Connie Francis , The Everly Brothers , Johnny Cash , Marty Robins , Conway Twitty , and on and on ...............truly amazing .
@@georgemay2547 Me too. This particular track is so good it's electrifying, it just gives me goosebumps. Of course a lot of the credit goes to the backing vocals (The Jordonaires) but really, Patsy just blows me away. You put it very well -- a rich, beautiful sound. 👍👍
@@BlueFish-kq9fh J'adore aussi Andy Williams qui a chanté des duos avec des chanteuses formidables : Connie Francis "watch what happens" Nancy Wilson "on a clear day" et Nancy Ames "so nice (summer samba)" Les trois sont un régal ! Les trois sont sur yt.
Such a tragic loss. I saw an interview with one of the first to arrive at the crash site. There were no bodies. Just pieces. So horribly sad to lose such a great talent.
I grew up listening to Patsy Cline--my mom played her music all day, almost everyday since I was just a couple years old. I loved every minute of it, and still listen to Patsy all the time. She was such a phenomenon!!
I was so in love with my true love. Long before I knew what love was really all about. You ache to be near them. You miss them every second. Their smile sets your heart on fire. You feel what they feel without saying a word. You can feel them through time and space. With Every Breath I Take I Still Feel You
Judy Garland did this one a few times in her career. She and Patsy did some of the same songs. I like to listen to them back to back, not to compare whose was better, but to enjoy what each one brought to the song. Gone way too soon, both of them.
Patsy Cline is a Legend her extraordinary vocal chords excellerate each sensation in yourself which bring an extremely over whelming feeling of satisfaction ❤️❤️❤️❤️💯🔥 a flaming heart that touches the souls 😍 Exquisite Extremely Exclusive Endless
Judy Garland’s version may be better known, but pales in comparison to the richness of Miss Patsy. I am of the opinion that Miss Patsy could’ve sang the zip codes and made them a hit!
For sure- Judy had an amazing voice too but in my opinion it's niche and better suited for the stage/broadway whereas with Patsy it's not niche and is suited for everything minus the stage/broadway. Don't get me wrong though that's not an insult to Judy and Patsy far from it they were insanely talented women and it breaks my heart that they passed away so young especially but just like with everything in life sometimes you're gonna be good at certain things and bad at others (for example opera singers have insanely good voices some of which sound like music coming from heaven but anywhere besides the opera stage would be weird 🤷🏻♀️)

Sameeee, I'm reading this for my book report

The best addiction.
Pot makes it even better
I am the same way about Elvis 🥰
She sure did have a big time potty mouth behind the scenes though!
Hmmm. Odd…
Patsy's voice can make a flower bloom!

The lady could sing without even trying
Yessir!

Veronique, je suis plus âgé que vous et j'aime aussi cette musique.

Patsy's along with Harry James/Helen Forrest are far and away my two favourite versions of this song. Very different, but both excellent.
NO PURPLE HAIR. NO TATTOOS, JUST ONE BEAUTIFUL VOICE, PASTY YOUR ARE MISSED RIP
So deserves to be better known, her voice is just fabulous.
I sing pretty good
Maybe you can pull the unknown Patsy Cline from obscurity.
@@hijodelaisla275 I was referring to the song not Patsy !
OK, sorry. I totally agree, she does a terrific job with this song.
a goddess of immense talent
I'm a 1960s "rock n' roller" but here listening to this beautiful song by this incredibly talented artist.

I often wonder if Judy Garland heard Patsy's version of this classic...
Exquisite!
And suddenly, it’s a Patsy Cline song.
Judy Garland was great, yet Patsy Cline outshines her on this classic from 1939.
Beautiful song love Patsy Cline ❤❤❤
