God gifts us so many things of beauty: a sunset, a flower, a hummingbird, a rain shower…no less He has gifted us with this group. Enjoy and give thanks.
"Stop the Tape!" [as they use to say. . . ] I pause this exceptional concert to congratulate the arranger of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen!" And to give kudos to the young lady with the MOST distinctively beautiful voice for her style of vocal skill on this number. Wow!
I've watched this at least 10 times now and it never gets old! Great talent that needs to be recognized! They play with such joy that it truly shows they all enjoy what they are doing, especially the way they look at each other with such adoration. I don't know anything about playing the dobro but I would venture that Emmet is world class in my book.
@@martahampton1175 Any one of them on any single day has more musical talent in their pinky finger than I have had collectively in my whole life, and that's 70 years! Plus, their love for Jesus makes them even more near and dear to me.

When you watch this concert, it is so wholesome and sounds so good that you can't help but forget about all of the bad in the world for just a little bit. Thank you Petersens for all you do!
My wife and I had the privilege of seeing this show live last year in Branson (our first Petersens show!), and we enjoyed it immensely. We might not be able to make it this year, but it is a blessing to be able to see it again from the comfort of our home. So much joy and beautiful music. Thank you for sharing!
So well said! I watch them almost every day and am continually blessed and encouraged by their sweetness and love for one another and for the Lord. So talented and continually getting better, as well!
After seeing this show a few times…. I can say that it is simply fantastic! Everything from start to finish! However, I wanted to point out a particular moment that has impressed me every time I saw and listened to it. And it is when Emmet has just finished singing "I Heard the Bells" (beautiful and poignant song!) and, immediately after the well-deserved applause of the audience, in the perfect silence of the hall, the instruments are silent and Julianne begins to sing, in perfect chord of B minor, "O Come, O Come Emmanuel". Then the harmonies of Katie and Ellen enter and, after that, all the instruments to complete this masterpiece of rare beauty. These are minutes of pure magic, the authentic magic of Christmas. 🎄
@@FrankvdMuijsenberg Thanks Frank. It was always a moment of the show where I would freeze ... watching and listening, forgetting what there was to do. 😉
Carolina in the Pines is my absolute favorite by the Petersen’s . What a fantastic show . Thank you for making this available for your many fans unable to see you in person . Shout out to The Petersens !!
How wonderful of the band to put this Christmas show on you tube. Many of your fans, such as me, will never make it to Branson to see you perform, and to me this just shows how much you appreciate those who support you from all over the world. a very nice gift, from you to all your fans. Julianne, I do declare, there are just certain songs, that your Angelic voice is the only voice, that is proper for those songs What a beautiful show!!!
Is there no end to this group’s talent? They hit the Andrew’s Sisters performance with Bing Crosby on Mele Kalikimaka. Out of the park! This show is just outstanding. I hesitate to say my favorite because I will be saying that about another.
❤Jetzt kenne ich euch schon so viele Jahre, trotzdem entdecke ich immer wieder neues über euch und eure Musik. 😊 Danke das es euch gibt. Danke Mama Petersens das sie so eine tolle Familie haben. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I love Julianne's singing. All those little breaks in her voice really make me smile. As she continues to mature and improve she is going to be the best vocalist in the band, and that is saying something. Also love a lot of their arrangements, I especailly liked that bluesy arrangemet of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. This band is a must see for me if I ever make it to Branson.

Having seen the Petersens in concert in November and seeing their Christmas concert for this past season, I would have to say that they are every bit as good, and engaging, and fun to watch in person! Even in a venue, where it didn't seem like they could pull off this kind of sound, they did it! Magic!!
Although it’s the middle of July, I watched the 2020 Christmas show during the holidays and enjoyed it so much I thought I might watch it again. It’s even better than i remember . Just proves that good quality entertainment can be enjoyed at anytime. The Petersen’s are very good at what they do . The hour and half of my time was well worth it, thanks again for your dedication to bring joy and happiness to us!! ❤️
Thank you for releasing this video. I was blessed to see the show in Wilson, NC. As amazing as they are here, you need to experience them in person. Truly magical! Hopefully I will get to Branson this next year!
This is the BEST harmonizing that I’ve ever heard! These amazing kids/band are right up there with the best of the best! They’re not elbow to elbow, with, for example, the Nitty Gritty Band, not because they don’t have the talent or ability to be up there with the rich and famous, but because they’ve chosen a different path in life and music, a path of humbleness, love of what’s important in life, true human and spiritual values, and for the glorifying of God. I think that’s why I’m so incredibly drawn to them; for their talent, their love for family, their wittiness, intelligence, educational achievements, for the ability to get along so well with each other, which I know by experience it’s extremely difficult being true friends with your siblings! Moments brought tears of joy and sadness to my eyes. Thank you immensely for being out there “curing” people’s souls and lives!
I found your family music on you tube during our Covid lockdown. You guys have blessed me. We love blue grass and made a trip to Branson to see you last summer….and have tickets for our whole family of 10 to see the Christmas show in Grapevine on the 19th. It just doesn't get better than this!!!! Listening to The Petersens on a cold Saturday night during the Christmas season makes everything better!! I love this family!!!
OK, the concert is really great -- but I want to call some attention and give some praise to the crew taking care of the details. Audio is impressive for a live recording, and the lighting and video work is really spectacular! (Sounds like Randy Franz is at least part of that team!) Lighting is well done throughout, and the camera got great angles and _really_ crisp, clear shots even with the close-ups. It honestly looks almost 4K, which is especially surprising after going through youtube's compression. *VERY* nicely done! Petersen family, you of course look and sound wonderful! I really need to make the trip to see your concerts firsthand, hopefully including a Christmas concert. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent and skill with the world!

What a great show! The Petersens are an anchor in a sea of uncertainty, you have the ability to make us forget the toils and woes we may be feeling. Have a Merry Christmas and keep up the nice songwriting
Even though I have already watched these two concerts (the spring and Christmas concerts) On Crowdcast when you all originally did them. I have gone back and watched them a couple of times since you have put them on RUclips. I have watched your concert from 2014 from Oklahoma a few times as well. I have enjoyed them and loved them each time. I'm looking forward to the day I get to see a live performance. One day hopefully sooner than later. 😉. God Bless you all. And my prayers for you all. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏. Elden. PS And seeing that you got to open for Hank Jr. Awesome 😎👍
What a moving performance. I had tears most of the time. Remember remembering my sisters bluegrass band back in the 70’s. They played In Nashville many times. (The Bluegrass Express Band) The Hastings Family. God has blessed your family in many ways. “Thanks” to a loving Father and Mother. They started it all. Can see Jesus in your “LIVES” GOD BLESS……. ❤
Thank You, The Petersens for sharing this on RUclips, and spreading the spirit of Christmas! Thank You, Liz, for the close captioning! Merry Christmas to All!
I could listen to Julianne (well, the whole group actually) all day long! Her distinct sound is so charismatic and heavenly, definitely fits the bluegrass style of music. This group is one of my favorites for sure.
Since I first heard you about a year past I’ve been telling all my contacts about your performances on Utube. Your music never fails to brighten up my moods and spirit. Real music , real people. Thank you and god bleed you all. Mike in little Ireland.
Just bought tickets for the Christmas show in Charlotte on November 29. This is a great preview! Glad that it is a mix of Christmas songs along with the regular show. Can't wait!
Great! I love all of the vocals. Amazing. Rejoice, Rejoice! Emmet your dobro is the earthly equivalent of a heavenly angel's harp. Thank you all, God Bless and Merry Christmas.
I've praised Katie on many Petersen threads elsewhere. Both for her musicianship and for the infectious joy she exudes' And so, as an Irish man , I was thrilled by her lovely words about my country. And we in Ireland love you, Katie, and all the members of your sensational family.
Thanks to Katie and the song Country Roads, I started listening to you. Thank you all. As a whole, you are amazing. You make the world a little nicer place again.
Christmas is past but I am not willing to stop listening to this. And Katie, Katie, if there is anywhere nearly as good a performance of Sleigh Ride--wow. I love Christmas, I love Christmas music, thank you all so much! I'll just say this is my favorite.
Seeing this now - Such a lovely concert, lovely people & great music. Also thank you for meticulously noting down every moment according to the time code. Keep doing what you do. God moves us in different ways. Great concert!
So true, and for those timestamps we have to thank our community manager Liz 'Meticulous' Newton. They are such a big help if you want to return to a certain part or song in the show.👏
I sat at the edge of my seat, soaking every note in. Wow, thank you for this performance and arrangements. Each musician has so much to offer, I love that each gets to shine in their own solos/features. I was definitely captivated with each moment of this music. Thank you Petersons and Franz.

What a great show! The Petersens are an anchor in a sea of uncertainty, you have the ability to make us forget the toils and woes we may be feeling. Have a Merry Christmas and keep up the nice songwriting
I just love to hear Julianne sing , her voice is a one off ,no one else sounds like her . it is mesmerizing.
Even though I have already watched these two concerts (the spring and Christmas concerts)
On Crowdcast when you all originally did them.
Elden.
PS
And seeing that you got to open for Hank Jr.
Amen!
Beautiful people playing and singing beautiful music with beautiful voices. Perfect, thank you. :-)
Can't wait!
Thank you, Petersons! May your lives be filled with many Blessings, Comfort, and Joy!
Kudos to the audio engineer for the excellent mix. I can hear all the crisp harmonies and I finally can hear the double bass! Also, Emmett rocks!
You guys (all) are a breath of fresh air. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us. ✝️
Great! I love all of the vocals. Amazing. Rejoice, Rejoice! Emmet your dobro is the earthly equivalent of a heavenly angel's harp. Thank you all, God Bless and Merry Christmas.
Incredible musicians, voices, songs … Thank you for this beautiful concert!
Exactly the same thing happened to me and then when I heard Far side banks of Jordan singing Ellen it was clear.
Ellen voice is outstanding , graceful
Christmas is past but I am not willing to stop listening to this. And Katie, Katie, if there is anywhere nearly as good a performance of Sleigh Ride--wow. I love Christmas, I love Christmas music, thank you all so much! I'll just say this is my favorite.
Thanks for having your music on you tube😇
Please let Mama play the trumpet! She will be heard at last, and she really masters it!

They are such a big help if you want to return to a certain part or song in the show.👏
the look on your face, Katie, when playing the bells was pure joy. May you get many opportunities in life to play them :-)
I sat at the edge of my seat, soaking every note in. Wow, thank you for this performance and arrangements. Each musician has so much to offer, I love that each gets to shine in their own solos/features. I was definitely captivated with each moment of this music. Thank you Petersons and Franz.
