This question is asked in basically every decent game cinematic video... and the answer is that it would be extremely expensive. Even a few minute long cinematic costs millions of dollars to make. Might as well make a live-action Star Wars movie at that point. It's also a lot easier to package emotion in a short video than it is for a full-length film.

I read that the stormtroopers didn’t shoot to kill but actually fires warning shots instead in hopes that the enemy will surrender but I may be wrong but that’s what I remember

@@ether2275 well let's take real world examples. Ever since tanks became a thing, they've changed but for the most part, they are pretty recognizable today compared to ww1. But if you put up an modern tank against a ww2 tank, the modern one is vastly superior even though they might not seem that different visually. Changes can be subtle like better speed, less fuel, more powerful weapons, but overall we cannot tell it's more or less powerful.

21:17 This is one of the best fighting sequences I've seen in Star Wars. Really great choreography with a great camera angle that moves almost like you were the little girl, following right behind her(even though she didn't follow).
A movie like that would never make enough money to pay for itself. There is a reason they make them so short and only as a promotional material for pretty big games.
The fights in this were so well choreographed. Every move is made for a reason, every strike is meant to kill and its still flashy and visually engaging.

I’m sorry but can we get some more appreciation for the scene at 21:15? The entire fight in one shot in the supposedly daughter’s perspective is so clean. It’s makes you feels as if the daughter is moving up with her but she’s actually not. That’s why the next shot with the gap between them is so shocking

All of these, The Jedi, Sith, Republic troops and Sith troopers are lethal than those in canon. In a galaxy at war for years with the Sith not extinct you bet that these troops can fight better.

I love these trailers. Specifically the tale of the two brothers. Towards the end, when the brother in white becomes enraged with their father, his eyes turn bright orange. When he fatally injures the brother in black, his eyes turn back to their original color. This is a wonderful show in detail, even for a trailer. Well done!

In the first trailer, the way Lord Vindican and Malgus just charge in instead of giving some cliché over the top speech about revenge, just shows that they aren’t f*cking around.
I love how mind-blowing each of these fight scenes are for different reasons entirely. Just amazing cinematography and choreography that suits the stories these trailers tell.
The last three Star Wars movies are New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and The Return of the Jedi. And I don’t think that they are worse than these trailers, what are you talking about? Years later, I still cannot to this day fathom the logic behind the Troopers, who not only had a flanking, defensible position to ambush from, but the friggin HIGH GROUND and they decided to jump down to meet Sith lightsabers in melee range.
High ground into forested area with no clear line of fire with a large force spread deep into the area. Don't let the enemy regroup, take cover or form any counter-attack. Hit hard and fast taking out as many as they can then rapid advance keeping the sith unbalanced and on the backfoot taking out as many as possible to even the odds or at least significantly decrease their force. The sith had the numerical advantage supported by war droids and numerous sith warriors with Lords in the mix. We see 1 master ( Satele). You would hope there are more however, it's unclear.
@@DK5589 Not to mention their blaster bolts only move at like 34 mph so Sith reflexes and their ability to deflect the blasts back at their source make either Short range overwhelming fire or long range surprise attacks the only viable options with small arms (from what little I know on the subject).
and to top all that, can someone please enlighten me as to why they use armor at all? They die from 1 (FREAKING ONE) reflected laser bolt from their own guns, or from one lightsaber strike. I mean, they might as well use jeans and a t-shirt.
Here's what I love the most, while it's all cinematically brilliant in almost every way, they sand the underside of the drawer in the application of everything. They stayed so true to the lore in subtle ways most people will never even notice, which they absolutely did not have to do for a simple opening cutscene. Like the master in the first bit, he disables one of the saber staff blades until the sith adapt to his dual-wielding single-bladed sabers, then pops the second blade on again, impaling the one guy. Stuff like that. You will learn more about the true nature of the force and it's applications in this collaboration than entire mainstream movies, THIS should have been the 3rd trilogy. Yes it's events are known, but not to a mainstream audience, you have thousands of years to choose from in the Old Republic, set characters and events already steeped in the lore of the universe. You don't have to make anything up, you have a plot to follow than still leaves plenty of time for anything else you want
The music is mostly John Williams stuff, I mostly hear Battle of the Heroes Duel of the Fates and Anakin’s Dark Deeds And when Malgus and the green saber human rush at each other the theme that plays is the Final Battle from Kotor 2 Other than that there’s the occasional hint of The Force or Imperial March, or something entirely new
Something I only picked up after dozens of times watching this, is how Valkorion gives away a little smile at 16:57. He saw this moment when they were born and how he knows that Arcann is giving in to the dark side. Nice touch by the animators!

Satele Shan is one of the best examples of a jedi I can think of. Absolutely ruthless on the battlefield against a clearly evil enemy, but a kind, thoughtful, humble person. Fought multiple battles against sith as a padawan, was the youngest ever jedi grandmaster and had a master who was not only a powerful, battle tested, well respected jedi, but master kao without a second thought sacrificed himself for her the moment he knew they were outmatched because he had to save her from one blow in that fight that would have killed her. Oh, and she's related to Revan so she's got an insane connection to the force.
That's why I never got into the CG Clone Wars cartoon. Original Clone Wars was a condensed narrative that only expressed what it needed to. In comparison CG Clone Wars is like the filler episodes of an anime where occasionally something cool might happen, but in the end it's sparse and overall unimportant.

The “villains” are poorly written with not a single spit of a backstory and no explanation why and how Palpatine survived. The jokes aren’t funny and they kill of all the good characters that remained. Disney just wanted money and Kathleen Kennedy, who is a feminazi, forces everyone to like Rey just because she is a “strong, female character and y’all can’t handle that”... They make bullsh*t like the sequels canon but not this !?! seriously, I’m done.

Wow so sad what happened to Arcann’s brother. He was there for him his whole life through the toughest and most painful moments. And Arcann kills him in a blind rage and once he realizes what he’s done his eyes go from sith yellow back to blue symbolizing his deep love for his brother. Wow. I teared up from this because I have a brother too and would never want anything to happen to him.

@@imixupwords5340 Ever more reason too use the terrain advantage, great cover, hard to reach from the sith and commands a view that will keep them in the know about the enemies numbers. Though with the Sith, I'm sure they can jump that cliff, but will give the soldiers breathing room to focus on the adepts. Also, droids are pretty static, seeing as how they're designed, I dont see them climbing that cliff which leaves only predictable pathways the Republic troops would've fortified. This is all after the fact, but they did have a clear advantage over an superior force.

If they hired Chad Stahelski and he was in charge of all the stunt choreography (working very closely with the writer and director, as Chad is also a Director), I could see them writing very fast-paced and intense fights. I'd say they should hire various stunt people in the roles of key Jedi or Sith that will be fighting.

Man, when the two Sith lords appeared, I always thought that Malgus is the master. Just look at his silent menacing walk and cold, brutal determination. He didn’t even hesitate to take his master ‘s light saber to fight the jedi like he was just disappointed by the incompetence and decided to finished the fight himself. At the end of the first cutscene though, his tone was like “I have given you enough time already, and you have failed me for the last time. You know what it should be”. A badass that trained and judge his master himself.

The main Commando is the one who charges the Old Republic equivalent of Darth Vader with a combat knife, eats force lightning, detonates a grenade in his face and basically wins the battle. That commando would have wiped the floor with Emo Ren and been back home in time for breakfast.
It’s been said a million times how much better these trailers are than the sequels but let that actually sink in. Trailers, for a video game, have better characters, action, emotion, storytelling, and writing than 3 full blown Hollywood movies that had unlimited staffing and funding. The Star Wars fandom is said to be “toxic” and “overcritical” except these trailers have everything we want. For some twisted and cruel reason fate won’t release a modern Star Wars as good as these trailers.
It's explored very well. It's called the Expanded Universe, now called "Legends" by Disney aka, the True Canon of Star Wars, unlike Disney Canon which is just expensive yet terribly written "fan" fiction.

To this day this still stands as some of the best animation I've ever seen. Like, this looks like it could run on a PS5 and it came out in the early 2010's. Amazing.
That whole saga really was top notch storytelling. Still gives me goosebumps to the this day, years after having initially watched it. Never stops being poignant.
The current government who they fight and die for is called the republic. Not political, simply named their galactic power The Republic after what the ruling power is. Not exactly inventive, but straight forward. It's like a soldier yelling their country or planet.

Hes actually the jedi battlemaster (Quick lore fact if you do not know the jedi battlemaster was the ultimate teacher so to speak who took the brightest padawans under his or her wings they also advised the jedi council on matters of war and such) and one of the sith he was facing was still an apprentice and he lost.... so less ballsy and more pathetic all things considered.
@Stealthyhunter He was an apprentice at the time of this fight yea, but that doesnt mean he was young or green. It wasnt uncommon for sith to still have masters well after establishing their own powerbases and whatnot. Like Darth Thanaton still had a master Just prior to taking a seat on the dark council (His master was the dark council member he was replacing), and he was pretty old as well. Malgus had been a sith since he was young (as in had already graduated from the academy on korriban), and was about 65 at the time of this fight. And considering that he was an absolute prodigy, and did some pretty amazing things, that dark lords respecting his greatness for thousands of years later.. Malgus was a GOAT.
Why can’t Star Wars fans get rewarded with an open world video game like elder scrolls. I don’t care when it takes place as long as the game is good. No more content light battlefield reskins. Star Wars is a universe rich with lore and deserves a game to showcase this.

I am totally for women Jedis but I hate when it feels forced. In human history and biology men have always had a superior ability to hunt and etc. Men have more body mass and have in previous human history been the hunters and the fighters of war. I think star wars need to reflect that.
Love how creative these lightsaber battles are especially the slowed down scenes when they are thrown. And these force powers actually make sense unlike last Jedi bullshit.
@@techno639 The force as we see it employed in the new films is inconsistent with what we have seen for the last 40 or so years. If force ghost can use offensive force powers why didn't Yoda or Obi Wan kill Vader and the Emperor? Also force lightening is a dark side force ability, how can Yoda as a light side force ghost use it? The new films do play fast and loose with the established lore and is creating huge plot holes while doing so.

You just need some competent writers and people who really know how to combine awesome action with compelling and moving drama. Star Wars could wipe every over franchise off the face of the map with its epicness if only Lucasfilm and Disney knew what the hell to do with it.

But if you put up an modern tank against a ww2 tank, the modern one is vastly superior even though they might not seem that different visually. Changes can be subtle like better speed, less fuel, more powerful weapons, but overall we cannot tell it's more or less powerful.

Years later, I still cannot to this day fathom the logic behind the Troopers, who not only had a flanking, defensible position to ambush from, but the friggin HIGH GROUND and they decided to jump down to meet Sith lightsabers in melee range.
High ground into forested area with no clear line of fire with a large force spread deep into the area. Don't let the enemy regroup, take cover or form any counter-attack. Hit hard and fast taking out as many as they can then rapid advance keeping the sith unbalanced and on the backfoot taking out as many as possible to even the odds or at least significantly decrease their force. The sith had the numerical advantage supported by war droids and numerous sith warriors with Lords in the mix. We see 1 master ( Satele). You would hope there are more however, it's unclear.

Here's what I love the most, while it's all cinematically brilliant in almost every way, they sand the underside of the drawer in the application of everything. They stayed so true to the lore in subtle ways most people will never even notice, which they absolutely did not have to do for a simple opening cutscene. Like the master in the first bit, he disables one of the saber staff blades until the sith adapt to his dual-wielding single-bladed sabers, then pops the second blade on again, impaling the one guy. Stuff like that. You will learn more about the true nature of the force and it's applications in this collaboration than entire mainstream movies, THIS should have been the 3rd trilogy. Yes it's events are known, but not to a mainstream audience, you have thousands of years to choose from in the Old Republic, set characters and events already steeped in the lore of the universe. You don't have to make anything up, you have a plot to follow than still leaves plenty of time for anything else you want

Satele Shan is one of the best examples of a jedi I can think of. Absolutely ruthless on the battlefield against a clearly evil enemy, but a kind, thoughtful, humble person. Fought multiple battles against sith as a padawan, was the youngest ever jedi grandmaster and had a master who was not only a powerful, battle tested, well respected jedi, but master kao without a second thought sacrificed himself for her the moment he knew they were outmatched because he had to save her from one blow in that fight that would have killed her. Oh, and she's related to Revan so she's got an insane connection to the force.

The “villains” are poorly written with not a single spit of a backstory and no explanation why and how Palpatine survived. The jokes aren’t funny and they kill of all the good characters that remained. @@imixupwords5340 Ever more reason too use the terrain advantage, great cover, hard to reach from the sith and commands a view that will keep them in the know about the enemies numbers. Though with the Sith, I'm sure they can jump that cliff, but will give the soldiers breathing room to focus on the adepts.
Also, droids are pretty static, seeing as how they're designed, I dont see them climbing that cliff which leaves only predictable pathways the Republic troops would've fortified. This is all after the fact, but they did have a clear advantage over an superior force.

Man, when the two Sith lords appeared, I always thought that Malgus is the master. Just look at his silent menacing walk and cold, brutal determination. He didn’t even hesitate to take his master ‘s light saber to fight the jedi like he was just disappointed by the incompetence and decided to finished the fight himself. At the end of the first cutscene though, his tone was like “I have given you enough time already, and you have failed me for the last time. You know what it should be”. A badass that trained and judge his master himself.

It’s been said a million times how much better these trailers are than the sequels but let that actually sink in. Trailers, for a video game, have better characters, action, emotion, storytelling, and writing than 3 full blown Hollywood movies that had unlimited staffing and funding. The Star Wars fandom is said to be “toxic” and “overcritical” except these trailers have everything we want. For some twisted and cruel reason fate won’t release a modern Star Wars as good as these trailers.

Hes actually the jedi battlemaster (Quick lore fact if you do not know the jedi battlemaster was the ultimate teacher so to speak who took the brightest padawans under his or her wings they also advised the jedi council on matters of war and such) and one of the sith he was facing was still an apprentice and he lost.... so less ballsy and more pathetic all things considered.
Stealthyhunter malgus was fueled by hate and was determined to win, the battlemaster knew his fate was to stall Malgus.
Malgus won for plot + he was tired had he been in a duel with just Malgus from the start Malgus would be dead.

It wasnt uncommon for sith to still have masters well after establishing their own powerbases and whatnot. Like Darth Thanaton still had a master Just prior to taking a seat on the dark council (His master was the dark council member he was replacing), and he was pretty old as well.
Malgus had been a sith since he was young (as in had already graduated from the academy on korriban), and was about 65 at the time of this fight. And considering that he was an absolute prodigy, and did some pretty amazing things, that dark lords respecting his greatness for thousands of years later..

If force ghost can use offensive force powers why didn't Yoda or Obi Wan kill Vader and the Emperor? Also force lightening is a dark side force ability, how can Yoda as a light side force ghost use it? The new films do play fast and loose with the established lore and is creating huge plot holes while doing so.
