Before watching, it will obviously work, but it won't have the huge amount of optimizations that the Xboxs have from the box. Technically the DO run a sort of version of windows software, but the hardware is SUPER optimized in the games by the developers specifically.
why has microsoft never done this? they could increase sales from parents if this expensive console could also be used for the kids schoolwork and negate the need for a pc

I get the impression this was meant to be used in an AIO of some sort. That would explain the DP_IN connector, as some Lenovo AIO machines allow you to use them as a monitor for whatever reason. I guess when the computer becomes obsolete at least the screen will be of some use. You might look to see if there's a switch connector for a video source selector that would go along with it. And if it were in an AIO it would explain why there's none of the traditional mounting mechanisms for a heatsink as it would likely use heatpipes to a rad somewhere else in the chassis, much like a laptop does.
the difference is that this motherboard has a BIOS to talk to Windows 10, the Xbox uses a different firmware that is custom to stop knock-off Xboxes coming onto the market and to add various security features.

the difference is that this motherboard has a BIOS to talk to Windows 10, the Xbox uses a different firmware that is custom to stop knock-off Xboxes coming onto the market and to add various security features.
