Excellent music. But understand that the industry would insist on an excellent performance and they were limp-sicking. Possibly because they were so excited about the TV venue or because they were high 😔

Maybe record companies are to blame for cookie cutter music. Almost everyone sounds alike. Back then rock and roll was young and new and the talent was more raw and unprocessed. You asked why I was here? Well, the LOOK on your face when you heard Three Dog Night harmonize and belt out Eli’s Coming was worth it! I grew up on that MUSIC, with live bands, live real performances that blew you away, no auto tune, no sampling, no lip syncing. Watching someone else discover this is like watching someone feel the sun for the first time.

Took the words right outta my mouth, you got a year on me. I never thought in those days about how young people our age in the future might look back like this, at the soundtrack of our youth. At the time, it was just the newest song from a cool band that was all over radio, on TV , in a few magazines and that was it, all we had at the time. And it was way more than enough.
Three Dog Night is a great rock band from the 60's-70's. This band had a lot of energy. They had 3 guys with great voices that could all sing lead vocals. Some of their hits are "Mama Told Me Not To Come", "One" (written by Harry Nilsson), "Just An Old Fashioned Love Song", "Shambala", "Try A Little Tenderness", "Never Been To Spain", "The Show Must Go On", "Joy To The World" etc.
Yea..Shambala they played in LOST as Hurley drove the VW van down the green hill....VW's were the thing back then..that van with white top and blue green, maybe first beachy blue green color!! It was such a great time!!💫 If you haven't watched Lost..what are you waiting for!!!😂😂😂
They were original in having 3 lead singers. That's Chuck on the left, Cory in the middle and Danny on the right. All 3 were brilliant singers. I loved all their songs

I consider my music taste spoiled...all through junior high & high school...this was our music. All the school dances, driving in your car, at parties....it was the times. Music had a message to bring everyone together. I now listen to it at 70 years old driving in my SUV the same tunes.
They SHOULD be in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame, but they never will be because the majority of their music was written by other people. The RRHoF said they might get in after 2031 because they keep inducting people who don't sing rock and roll who write their own music.
I'm 73 and from Pittsburgh PA. I went to a 3 Dog Night concert 1968. The act they had with them brought the house down. I never heard of them. Don't think they even introduced them. LOL Next morning the radio station was inundated by people wondering who that was. It was Carlos Santana. Best concert ever!!!!
I saw 3 Dog Night in 1969 in Chicago. It was my first live concert of a rock band and I thought it was wonderful. I was 16 and went with a bunch of high school friends. So fun. And I think doobies were being passed around the auditorium. 🙂
I was a child of the 80's but I'm so thankful that my brother was 13 years older than me so I grew up with the music of the 60's and 70's, which was SO much better than the 80's, and it's still what I listen to. LOVE Three Dog Night! They also sang, "Joy to the World".
Thanks, this brings back sooo many memories!!! Trust me the musicians in the 60s & 70s were beyond anything since then. Lollapalooza can never match the music festivals back then. Many legends were born then. You can't imagine. The rock scene, folk music, r&b/soul, jazz etc. It was music heaven. All were unique artists. No one sounded like another like current music.

I'm 70, and we had the most incredible music in the 1960s, 70s, and even 80s. On Friday nights, we played 45s at the YMCA and danced. On weekends, we could opt for Teen Scene and Danceland, where kids could dance all night. There was no alcohol, no violence, no computers, just pure joy and bliss. No one was fat. We enjoyed listening to music, moving our bodies, and creating a vibe. We were happy to be alive. There's nothing like that these days. No one had room for hate and anger because we danced it away.
So happy that I am a Boomer…we had great music…so much change came about. From country, rock, southern r & b, city blues, etc. Rich pool of talent. Sadly, I keep hunting for newer artists that I can relate to, very slim pickings as every thing sounds the same. Perhaps, because of today’s technology? I do not have an answer.
I am 75. You play the songs, I can sing every word. I remember them all. Enjoy the pure talent we grew up with. If you ever get a moment, check out the artists and bands from the 1940s and 1950s. The progression is a delight to hear. Suggestion: turn off all the electronic enhancers used today and find out where the real talent lies.

I turned 12 in 1969, this was the year I started listening to my own radio in my room. Pretty soon I was given a stereo, and the radio was on almost constantly. I grew up with this music, and that from earlier in the 60's that was still being played often. Then the great music of the 70's. I was so lucky.
Fun fact: Chuck Negron (singer on far left) was a puerto rican Bronx kid who sang doo wop and got a basketball scholarship to Cal State in the 60’s. His is one of the most tragic and poignant stories of drug addiction and recovery ever experienced. Wikipedia him. He still tours now in nostalgia shows. Thank you Chuck for the memories!

The main thing I'm loving is the younger generations getting to hear and love our music that we grew up with that we are still listening to. All pure talent - no fakery, no horrid lyrics, no autotune but beautiful lyrics and entertainment. People will be shocked when the truth starts coming out about the music and hollyweird industries.

Love your comments. I turned 8 in 1969 when Eli's Coming came out and I loved so many Three Dog Night song's. I grew up in a musical family and someone or something was always playing. In 1969 I remember hit's like Crystal Blue Persuasion and Crimson and Clover by Tommy James and Draggin' The Line was/is one of my favorites (it might have come out in 1970), I Am I Said by Neil Diamond and Age Of Aquarius by The Fifth Dimension and everything on The Grass Roots Greatest Hits album and I was listening to all my big brothers Beatles albums. But I remember so much variety on the radio. There were a few dud's like Sugar Sugar by the Archie's but there was so much good music to choose from. I started playing drums in '69 and guitar in '70. Wrote my own first song around '70-'71 and kept on writing. I made a half hearted effort to get in the music business around 1980 but my Dad was getting sick with heart disease and he died in February of 1981. I had a friend who I played in my first band with come from Washington DC to Rogers, Arkansas (border's Bentonville) where I was living and he got pretty successful in the music business and tried to get me to go to Lake Tahoe with him where he was going to begin touring. I had probably written close to a hundred songs by then and we had good chemistry but I had too much on my plate then. I played in a couple of cover bands from '84-'88 but I kept on writing. But that was the break I should have taken with my friend in '82. Anyway life happened and I didn't try to push my original music very hard. But my Dad had played with Porter Wagoner and other's in the business and knew a lot of people in the Country Music end and he tried to warn me about the trap's and pitfalls of the industry. Finally though I sent demo's all over the world trying to get a record deal in 1999. My writing is all over the place because of the many influences I heard growing up. I got a few offers from some smaller labels and MCA said I was a great writer but they didn't know what category to put me in. In December of '99 I got a call from a producer in Nashville who said I was a great writer and wanted me to come record there. In May of 2000 I went to Nashville and recorded a 3 song demo. They were trying to put me in Country Music and I have written some Country influenced stuff but I was more into Rock&Roll. He shopped my demo around a lot of record companies but I didn't get a decent offer until April of 2001. It was from Sony/Australia. But I got in the door of big corporate music. So many things changed in 1996 and then Napster changed it even more in 1999. Sony offered me a million bucks for a 10 song album which sounded like a lot of money to my friend's and family but they didn't realize things I knew like taxes, production fee's, studio time etc and when it was all said and done I was only going to make a little over a hundred thousand and I would have had to pay my band to go on tour in Asia, Europe then back to the State's on the college circuit since I was basically an unknown artist. It's like everyone was going to make money except me, the person who lived through all the things I wrote about. So I turned them down. Everyone thought I was crazy but I had seen enough. The last 24-25 years the music industry has gotten way worse. I don't like very much of the music since the early 2000's and I know how awful the business is and I have never regretted my decision. Your comment resonated with me because I run into young people all the time who hate what's being put out by the artist of today and listen to what I grew up with. At least artists today can be their own record company and stream their music but you don't make but about .003 cent's a stream. And now AI is getting heavily involved. I detest the giant label's today! And you are so right about the entertainment business in general. It just gets worse and worse. I just have a small RUclips channel with 91 subscribers and that's fine with me. I am getting too old now and I wouldn't touch trying to break in the business anyway. Makes me kinda wish I had been born a decade earlier. So great comment and you totally nailed it!

I'm 73 and graduated from high school in 1969. I loved Three Dog Night. Years later, I read the book by Chuck Negron called Three Dog Nightmare about his fall into addiction. I often think about that time in history when young people were going thru a metamorphosis and having so many drugs, new thoughts, new freedoms and so forth available to them, turning from a simple life into a more complex time that we weren't prepared for. The Vietnam War and mandatory drafts were creating controversy in the 1960s to 70s, Martin Luther King was assassinated in 1968, the shootings at Kent State took place in 1970, and the student strikes then spread on most college campuses across the country. So much within a period of a few years formed our generation.

Laura Nyro wrote this song. Her voice is unbelievable! She died too young. You will not believe the range she has. Her version of this song is different but oh so good. Some of her greats are Timer, Upstairs by a Chinese Lamp, Louie, New York Tendaberry. The group, The Fifth Dimension recorded some of the songs she wrote like, Stoned Soul Picnic and Marry Me Bill.
Hey Sebs, another baby boomer here! I like listening to you because you are a musician and a vocalist and you really get what you are listening to. When I grew up we still had music in schools. We had band and choir and folk songs and music appreciation and that was before high school! Then there were bands, orchestra, choirs and music theater. People had upright pianos in their homes and we weren't rich! By the time someone wanted to start a rock and roll band, most of the kids had at least a basic musical literacy. That was our starting point for these 50s, 60s, and 70s bands. I love your enthusiasm! Keep it up!
The most amazing thing about Three Dog Night is that all their hits were so different from every other hit. They did not have a single sound which one could say that was Three Dog Night, They were so incredible and each was so different from the others. Singularly genius as a band.
I was in the Navy when they sang this song, and had just arrived at Pearl Harbor in ‘70. They sang this at the EM club the evening the ship pulled into Pearl and a bunch of us off the ship went there to unwind. WOW!

I'm an old lady. This brings back so many memories. When we were so passionate about everything, before we grew up, before we settled. But, you know what? You helped light me up this morning. Now, I've got something to write about.
I was in 7th grade when this song came out and we listened to the radio all the time because there were hundreds of good bands putting out good songs all the time. Kids all over America were playing those songs in their garages. That's why my generation keeps saying we had such good music. Because we did. It's gratifying to watch reaction videos and see younger people figure that out. I also watch a lot of those compilation videos that show one hit wonders and least known bands. Three Dog Night was actually well known, but there are loads of other bands that had one or two great songs.
Three Dog Night is certainly a candidate for the best cover band of all time. They had three wonderful singers fronting a very tight and talented band. They also had a knack for finding deep cuts from other artists and making hits out of them with great high energy arrangements. Check out their versions of Hoyt Axton's 'Joy To the World', Randy Newman's 'Mama Told Me Not to Come' and Rod Argent's 'Liar'.
The artists and groups in the 70's had talent. They didn't have anything fake like today. The music of the 70's were the best of any other decade. Glad you are discovering the real artists and musicians of the 70's.

What makes this so special? Pure talent, timeless classics, no autotune, just solid music. So grateful I grew up hearing the originals for the first time back in the day. I'm getting old but this music will always be fresh.
The most important thing is that this song was written by the Amazing Laura Nyro- she also wrote many songs that others had hits with Sweet Blindness, Save the Country, Stoned Soul Picnic, And When I Die, Wedding Bell Blues, you have to listen to her versions, she wrote most of these at 21 and performed at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 but didn't like the fame. She was a millionare from these songs. I named my firstborn child Elijah in honour of this son and Laura, one of my main female singer-songwriters.

70's was without a doubt the best music era of all time. 100's of different bands and artist because we didn't have the internet and cell phones and electronics so our entertainment was music and lots of it. That's why we had Soul Train and Midnight Special and American Bandstand and Austin City Limits and a bunch of music artist had their own show like The Tom Jones show, The Monkees, Tony Orlando show, etc. That's one reason why I'm so thankful for you tube with so many youtubers finding all these old bands and reacting to their songs that i haven't heard in years. Brings back a lot of memories. But the coolest thing is a lot of these groups are still performing in their 70's
Saw Three Dog Night in San Diego in September 1971 and it still rates as one of the best concerts I've ever been to. The whole audience was on their feet and the house lights had come on but we were all singing "Joy to the World", not the Christmas Carol!
Three Dog Night and I think the Doobie Brothers are similar. The end 60's and 70's were the best of times and the best music. Check out The Hollies too. Such a great group.
The reason I like to watch reaction videos is because I grew up with this fantastic music of the 60s and 70s, and it was SO good, and I want everyone who hasn't heard it to enjoy it too. These are the soundtracks of my life, and when something is so special, you just want to share. I guess it's the same as anything you enjoy..... you try a great new food, and you tell everyone, "You HAVE to try this!"

Math isn't the only universal language. Music and dance are too. If you can't verbally communicate or have "the gift of gab" you can still tell stories, show life styles and experiences, etc., through song and dance. Country music is the best at story telling but you will find it in every culture, every genre. Watching you experience your journey through music is wonderful. I'm 65 and I feel I have experienced the best of music from all genres.
When I was 5, (1970) my parents bought me a drum set because I wanted to play along with Three Dog Night, my first favourite band. They have so many GREAT songs and when I hear them, my heart fills with joy. That feeling you felt hearing this is great for me to see.
This band was my first concert at the age of 17. They were fantastic. They were huge. Some of my favourite songs from them are, Never Been to Spain, liar, mama told me not to come, black-and-white, shambala, try a little tenderness If I was to pick one to be your next, listen, I would choose Never Been to Spain.

So much has happened in the world, both musically and in general, that it's cool too see what holds up and traslates to modern times. This is true not just for new discoverers, but to see how I've changed. Not everything does. Some songs I still like just for nostalgia, but some are really, truly kick-ass. At the time, it was just the newest song from a cool band that was all over radio, on TV , in a few magazines and that was it, all we had at the time. And it was way more than enough.

Three Dog Night is a great rock band from the 60's-70's. This band had a lot of energy. They had 3 guys with great voices that could all sing lead vocals. Some of their hits are "Mama Told Me Not To Come", "One" (written by Harry Nilsson), "Just An Old Fashioned Love Song", "Shambala", "Try A Little Tenderness", "Never Been To Spain", "The Show Must Go On", "Joy To The World" etc.
Yea..Shambala they played in LOST as Hurley drove the VW van down the green hill....VW's were the thing back then..that van with white top and blue green, maybe first beachy blue green color!! It was such a great time!!💫 If you haven't watched Lost..what are you waiting for!!!😂😂😂

I consider my music taste spoiled...all through junior high & high school...this was our music. All the school dances, driving in your car, at parties....it was the times. Music had a message to bring everyone together. I now listen to it at 70 years old driving in my SUV the same tunes.

They SHOULD be in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame, but they never will be because the majority of their music was written by other people. The RRHoF said they might get in after 2031 because they keep inducting people who don't sing rock and roll who write their own music.

I'm 73 and from Pittsburgh PA. I went to a 3 Dog Night concert 1968. The act they had with them brought the house down. I never heard of them. Don't think they even introduced them. LOL Next morning the radio station was inundated by people wondering who that was. It was Carlos Santana. Best concert ever!!!!
I saw 3 Dog Night in 1969 in Chicago. It was my first live concert of a rock band and I thought it was wonderful. I was 16 and went with a bunch of high school friends. So fun. And I think doobies were being passed around the auditorium. 🙂

I was a child of the 80's but I'm so thankful that my brother was 13 years older than me so I grew up with the music of the 60's and 70's, which was SO much better than the 80's, and it's still what I listen to. LOVE Three Dog Night! They also sang, "Joy to the World".
Thanks, this brings back sooo many memories!!! Trust me the musicians in the 60s & 70s were beyond anything since then. Lollapalooza can never match the music festivals back then. Many legends were born then. You can't imagine. The rock scene, folk music, r&b/soul, jazz etc. It was music heaven. All were unique artists. No one sounded like another like current music.

I'm 70, and we had the most incredible music in the 1960s, 70s, and even 80s. On Friday nights, we played 45s at the YMCA and danced. On weekends, we could opt for Teen Scene and Danceland, where kids could dance all night. There was no alcohol, no violence, no computers, just pure joy and bliss. No one was fat. We enjoyed listening to music, moving our bodies, and creating a vibe. We were happy to be alive. There's nothing like that these days. No one had room for hate and anger because we danced it away.

So happy that I am a Boomer…we had great music…so much change came about. From country, rock, southern r & b, city blues, etc. Rich pool of talent. Sadly, I keep hunting for newer artists that I can relate to, very slim pickings as every thing sounds the same. Perhaps, because of today’s technology? I do not have an answer.
I am 75. You play the songs, I can sing every word. I remember them all. Enjoy the pure talent we grew up with. If you ever get a moment, check out the artists and bands from the 1940s and 1950s. The progression is a delight to hear. Suggestion: turn off all the electronic enhancers used today and find out where the real talent lies.

I turned 12 in 1969, this was the year I started listening to my own radio in my room. Pretty soon I was given a stereo, and the radio was on almost constantly. I grew up with this music, and that from earlier in the 60's that was still being played often. Then the great music of the 70's. I was so lucky.

Fun fact: Chuck Negron (singer on far left) was a puerto rican Bronx kid who sang doo wop and got a basketball scholarship to Cal State in the 60’s. His is one of the most tragic and poignant stories of drug addiction and recovery ever experienced. Wikipedia him. He still tours now in nostalgia shows. Thank you Chuck for the memories!

The main thing I'm loving is the younger generations getting to hear and love our music that we grew up with that we are still listening to. Love your comments. I turned 8 in 1969 when Eli's Coming came out and I loved so many Three Dog Night song's. I grew up in a musical family and someone or something was always playing. In 1969 I remember hit's like Crystal Blue Persuasion and Crimson and Clover by Tommy James and Draggin' The Line was/is one of my favorites (it might have come out in 1970), I Am I Said by Neil Diamond and Age Of Aquarius by The Fifth Dimension and everything on The Grass Roots Greatest Hits album and I was listening to all my big brothers Beatles albums. But I remember so much variety on the radio. There were a few dud's like Sugar Sugar by the Archie's but there was so much good music to choose from. I started playing drums in '69 and guitar in '70. Wrote my own first song around '70-'71 and kept on writing. I made a half hearted effort to get in the music business around 1980 but my Dad was getting sick with heart disease and he died in February of 1981. I had a friend who I played in my first band with come from Washington DC to Rogers, Arkansas (border's Bentonville) where I was living and he got pretty successful in the music business and tried to get me to go to Lake Tahoe with him where he was going to begin touring. I had probably written close to a hundred songs by then and we had good chemistry but I had too much on my plate then. I played in a couple of cover bands from '84-'88 but I kept on writing. But that was the break I should have taken with my friend in '82. Anyway life happened and I didn't try to push my original music very hard. But my Dad had played with Porter Wagoner and other's in the business and knew a lot of people in the Country Music end and he tried to warn me about the trap's and pitfalls of the industry. Finally though I sent demo's all over the world trying to get a record deal in 1999. My writing is all over the place because of the many influences I heard growing up. I got a few offers from some smaller labels and MCA said I was a great writer but they didn't know what category to put me in. In December of '99 I got a call from a producer in Nashville who said I was a great writer and wanted me to come record there. In May of 2000 I went to Nashville and recorded a 3 song demo. They were trying to put me in Country Music and I have written some Country influenced stuff but I was more into Rock&Roll. He shopped my demo around a lot of record companies but I didn't get a decent offer until April of 2001. It was from Sony/Australia. But I got in the door of big corporate music. So many things changed in 1996 and then Napster changed it even more in 1999. Sony offered me a million bucks for a 10 song album which sounded like a lot of money to my friend's and family but they didn't realize things I knew like taxes, production fee's, studio time etc and when it was all said and done I was only going to make a little over a hundred thousand and I would have had to pay my band to go on tour in Asia, Europe then back to the State's on the college circuit since I was basically an unknown artist. It's like everyone was going to make money except me, the person who lived through all the things I wrote about. So I turned them down. Everyone thought I was crazy but I had seen enough. The last 24-25 years the music industry has gotten way worse. I don't like very much of the music since the early 2000's and I know how awful the business is and I have never regretted my decision. Your comment resonated with me because I run into young people all the time who hate what's being put out by the artist of today and listen to what I grew up with. At least artists today can be their own record company and stream their music but you don't make but about .003 cent's a stream. And now AI is getting heavily involved. I detest the giant label's today! And you are so right about the entertainment business in general. It just gets worse and worse. I just have a small RUclips channel with 91 subscribers and that's fine with me. I am getting too old now and I wouldn't touch trying to break in the business anyway. Makes me kinda wish I had been born a decade earlier. So great comment and you totally nailed it!

I'm 73 and graduated from high school in 1969. I loved Three Dog Night. Years later, I read the book by Chuck Negron called Three Dog Nightmare about his fall into addiction. I often think about that time in history when young people were going thru a metamorphosis and having so many drugs, new thoughts, new freedoms and so forth available to them, turning from a simple life into a more complex time that we weren't prepared for. The Vietnam War and mandatory drafts were creating controversy in the 1960s to 70s, Martin Luther King was assassinated in 1968, the shootings at Kent State took place in 1970, and the student strikes then spread on most college campuses across the country. So much within a period of a few years formed our generation.

Hey Sebs, another baby boomer here! I like listening to you because you are a musician and a vocalist and you really get what you are listening to. When I grew up we still had music in schools. We had band and choir and folk songs and music appreciation and that was before high school! Then there were bands, orchestra, choirs and music theater. People had upright pianos in their homes and we weren't rich! By the time someone wanted to start a rock and roll band, most of the kids had at least a basic musical literacy. That was our starting point for these 50s, 60s, and 70s bands. I love your enthusiasm! Keep it up!
Don't forget all the "garage bands" (made up of junior high and high school kids) who would play for Teen Dances on the weekends.

The most amazing thing about Three Dog Night is that all their hits were so different from every other hit. They did not have a single sound which one could say that was Three Dog Night, They were so incredible and each was so different from the others. Singularly genius as a band.
I was in the Navy when they sang this song, and had just arrived at Pearl Harbor in ‘70. They sang this at the EM club the evening the ship pulled into Pearl and a bunch of us off the ship went there to unwind. WOW!

I'm an old lady. This brings back so many memories. When we were so passionate about everything, before we grew up, before we settled. But, you know what? You helped light me up this morning. Now, I've got something to write about.
I was in 7th grade when this song came out and we listened to the radio all the time because there were hundreds of good bands putting out good songs all the time. Kids all over America were playing those songs in their garages. That's why my generation keeps saying we had such good music. Because we did. It's gratifying to watch reaction videos and see younger people figure that out. I also watch a lot of those compilation videos that show one hit wonders and least known bands. Three Dog Night was actually well known, but there are loads of other bands that had one or two great songs.
Three Dog Night is certainly a candidate for the best cover band of all time. They had three wonderful singers fronting a very tight and talented band. They also had a knack for finding deep cuts from other artists and making hits out of them with great high energy arrangements. Check out their versions of Hoyt Axton's 'Joy To the World', Randy Newman's 'Mama Told Me Not to Come' and Rod Argent's 'Liar'.
The artists and groups in the 70's had talent. They didn't have anything fake like today. The music of the 70's were the best of any other decade. Glad you are discovering the real artists and musicians of the 70's.

What makes this so special? Pure talent, timeless classics, no autotune, just solid music. So grateful I grew up hearing the originals for the first time back in the day. I'm getting old but this music will always be fresh.
The most important thing is that this song was written by the Amazing Laura Nyro- she also wrote many songs that others had hits with Sweet Blindness, Save the Country, Stoned Soul Picnic, And When I Die, Wedding Bell Blues, you have to listen to her versions, she wrote most of these at 21 and performed at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 but didn't like the fame. She was a millionare from these songs. I named my firstborn child Elijah in honour of this son and Laura, one of my main female singer-songwriters.
Now you know why we like to watch you listening to the music we grew up as we see the awe in your face.

70's was without a doubt the best music era of all time. 100's of different bands and artist because we didn't have the internet and cell phones and electronics so our entertainment was music and lots of it. That's why we had Soul Train and Midnight Special and American Bandstand and Austin City Limits and a bunch of music artist had their own show like The Tom Jones show, The Monkees, Tony Orlando show, etc. That's one reason why I'm so thankful for you tube with so many youtubers finding all these old bands and reacting to their songs that i haven't heard in years. Brings back a lot of memories. But the coolest thing is a lot of these groups are still performing in their 70's

Saw Three Dog Night in San Diego in September 1971 and it still rates as one of the best concerts I've ever been to. The whole audience was on their feet and the house lights had come on but we were all singing "Joy to the World", not the Christmas Carol!
I too was at that show. San Diego Sports Arena was the place to be back in the day. So many good concerts.

The reason I like to watch reaction videos is because I grew up with this fantastic music of the 60s and 70s, and it was SO good, and I want everyone who hasn't heard it to enjoy it too. These are the soundtracks of my life, and when something is so special, you just want to share. I guess it's the same as anything you enjoy..... you try a great new food, and you tell everyone, "You HAVE to try this!"

Math isn't the only universal language. Music and dance are too. If you can't verbally communicate or have "the gift of gab" you can still tell stories, show life styles and experiences, etc., through song and dance. Country music is the best at story telling but you will find it in every culture, every genre. Watching you experience your journey through music is wonderful. I'm 65 and I feel I have experienced the best of music from all genres.

When I was 5, (1970) my parents bought me a drum set because I wanted to play along with Three Dog Night, my first favourite band. They have so many GREAT songs and when I hear them, my heart fills with joy. That feeling you felt hearing this is great for me to see.

Thanks, Seb! For me, being older (70) it's really great to watch younger people discovering the music I love, especially when you love it too. So much has happened in the world, both musically and in general, that it's cool too see what holds up and traslates to modern times. This is true not just for new discoverers, but to see how I've changed. Not everything does. Some songs I still like just for nostalgia, but some are really, truly kick-ass. All 3 of the Three Dog Night singers were amazing.
