Boy, there must be a heck of an algae bloom going on in that river, both above and below the dam. Looks like a St. Patrick's Day nightmare ... ha ha! Good flying and nice shoot of some very scenic country ... Cheers.
I really don't think it's an algae bloom, like we get here in Lake Erie... I think just in some places, depending on sun and shadows... the water doesn't end up being very blue...
Pssssst... The New River Gorge Bridge actually sits inside a 'National Park'... and you know the rules on flying in a National Park... it's a no-no... so it'd be ashame if you didn't know that when you flew over that bridge, but found out about it after you got home... and then couldn't make the video public, as it would incriminate yourself... just sayin ;-)
Thanx Sir Al... Glad you're enjoying these... yes, it may seem like work... but you know how it is... ya can't call it work when yer having so much fun!!!
Thanx Big Ron, I guess you got a good point there... hehehe... Just got back from a 3 day adventure to Kelley's Island, near Sandusky... tons of footage from there to go thru now....
Thanx Savannah!!! In normal daylight, I do fly with an ND8 filter... and have the color settings set to 'Vivid', that's what really makes the colors pop... it's kinda cheating, but oh well... hehehe
If you pause at 2:18ish. See the big clear cut on top of the mountain to the right of the dam? That's my back yard! True story!
How cool Chuck!!! :-)
